Beautiful, lakefront home for all seasons

Lovely, pristine waterfront home on Moose Pond. Our home has 3 bedrooms (1 bedroom on lower level, and 2 bedrooms upstairs) and 1.5 bathrooms (full bathroom on lower level, and half bath upstairs). We have a fully stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer available for use during your stay.

Moose Pond is a spectacular spot for all seasons! Swim in the clean, clear water, hop in our kayaks for a tour around the lake, enjoy the peaceful view while you fish from our dock, or make lakeside s'mores in the firepit! We are at the foot of Pleasant Mountain, which offers several hiking trails, blueberry picking, and wonderful views of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Plenty of other hiking opportunities are minutes away. Visit in the autumn for spectacular fall foliage! Kids will love exploring the woods and private acreage.

We are under 5 minutes from Shawnee Peak's main lodge, so come for the skiing and snowboarding in the winter months. Sunday River, Maine's largest ski resort, is about 45 minutes away. Ice skating, ice fishing, sledding, and snowmobiling are also wonderful wintertime activities!

We are about 1 hour from Portland, Freeport, and Maine's beaches, perfect for day trips. We are also close to many summer camps - perfect for a short stay before or after camp. We are about 10-15 minutes away from a grocery store and the quaint town of Bridgton, which offers restaurants, shops, and a great drive-in movie theater.

**Note that we do not provide bed linens or towels. You will need to bring your own linens and towels.

On the lake but stay away - this is a scam!

The house is on the lake which is the good part. However, everything else goes down hill, just like the view from this house. 1. We found bed bugs in the carriage/garage room that has 2 beds (wish I could upload pics) 2. The house gets scorchingly hot and muggy, and both adults and kids had a very hard time trying to sleep even on 80 degree days. 3. Worst part, owner and property manager levied a huge fine and kept our deposit via false claims. We spent our entire days on the lake and eating out at restaurants or BBQ'ing outside the house due to the heat in the house but the owner said they found paint on the couch (really? who takes paint to a vacation?), food spills on the rug (we didn't eat anything in the house except for toast), missing hampers (lies) and a broken toilet seat (which was broken before we got there). Also, my son forgot his brand new soccer ball and the owner refuses to acknowledge they found it. Either the owner's property manager is either lying or putting false claims to recover other damages from a previous stay. Either way, I called VRBO support to file a dispute and also called the owner, and nobody has returned my phone call in over 3 weeks. I've used VRBO for NH, Cape Cod and Maine stays 6 times in the past year without an issue and this was by far the worst stay. All I will say is, STAY AWAY from these scamsters.

Nice Family Getaway

The property was an excellent combination of both indoor and outdoor spaces to have fun and relax. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, and having camp fires each night. The view was peaceful, with an excellent view of stars at night too! Inside, it was easy to enjoy time with family in the ample space that the living room and kitchen provided. Our children (3 and under) thoroughly enjoyed the kids puzzles, games, and books. We would highly recommend!

Comfortable, Quiet and Easy

My wife and I stayed Labor Day week. We found the house conveniently located, well appointed with a nice waterfront and dock.

Perfect family getaway!

This place far exceeded expectations! The house and the property were perfect and Kate went out of her way to make sure we had a great time by providing lots of insight on local activities. The dock provided a great fishing spot where my kids easily caught large fish. The floating dock provided hours of entertainment and we also enjoyed exploring the larger than expected pond on the kayaks. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with kitchen items and games for kids of all ages. My family would love to come back and see the beautiful foliage in the fall, or ski at the nearby resort this winter. Wonderful property, wonderful host and wonderful region. All around 5 stars!

Perfect location, wonderful getaway

This stay was incredible! We had a wonderful time having direct access to the water with our own private dock. Moose Pond is very much more like a lake, its clean and great for all ages.

Wonderful cabin and location

We loved our stay at the Little Yellow Cabin! Campfires by the water, fishing from the dock, comfortable chairs for reading and a well-stocked kitchen! Such a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

Great spot!

The little yellow cabin was the perfect spot. The access to the pond was great for the kids and was a wonderful view from the home. Accurate description on Vrbo and communication with owner was easy with a quick return response. We would definitely recommend this home.

Family vacation enjoyed by all

We used this rental as a location for our family to gather. The place was very comfortable and fun was had by all. The kids learned to kayak. They swam and we hung out by the fire at night. The kids loved all the games and books that were at the house. The house was clean, comfortble and had everything we needed. Hope we have a chance to come back.

Fabulous lake side cottage

Our family enjoyed every moment of our stay on Moose pond. The cottage was impeccably clean and welcoming. The loons and ducks were so fun to watch. Many large mouth bass we're caught! Kitchen was well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Beds and couch were so comfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage! We can't wait to return.

Family Getaway

This property was perfect for our family, and a couple of our daughters' friends. The towels, beds and bedding were all high quality and luxurious. The kitchen was fully equipped, which was necessary because we cooked at home most meals. This home was located in an absolutely beautiful spot on Moose Pond, and we enjoyed the views all day long. We made use of the kayaks and explored the lake most days. Kate is a terrific host, very responsive to my questions, and pleasant to deal with. We hope to be able to stay here again!

Beautiful lake view

Beautiful lake view! Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway with family. The house was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. The views from the house were incredible. We will definitely book again!
