Are you the adventurer that looks to hike Colorado 14ers, bike trails, or spend the day jeeping and four wheeling? Or, are you looking to relax in the hot springs, shop the shops, or enjoy a nice cold drink at a local brewery. All of these activities are only minutes away because this property is very centrally located. Our small ranch is just minutes outside of Ridgway and is only 15 minutes away from Ouray, 50 minutes to Telluride and 33 to Montrose.

Our Cozy Ranch House is located on the outskirts of Ridgway, CO. It sits on 46 acres with spectacular views of the Sneffel's range and downtown. With large windows in the front room and an outside deck, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor options to enjoy the views. It is not uncommon to spot elk, deer, turkeys, coyotes and even the occasional bear on the property. Just looking out the windows can be an adventure in itself.

Ridgway is the gateway to the San Juan mountain range.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and is approximately 1,300 square feet and will sleeps 7 adults and 1 child (top bunk). There is a pack-and-play for babies and toddlers.

Although the property encompasses 46 acres, we ask that renters stay off of the fields and remain close to the residence. The acreage is a working ranch. During certain times during the year you will see cattle grazing the fields or hay growing from the rich soils found in the Uncompahgre Valley.

Important note: There is a small house about 75 feet behind the property that is rented by an individual.

In the summer temperatures can get rather high. The home has AC. However, inside the home will remain cool during the day if the blinds and windows are closed. The summer nights are rather cool, so opening a window at night can create the perfect sleeping temperature.

The description says it all!! Some of the most beautiful views of the mountains and you get to wake up to it every day, just outside several large panoramic windows! And a comfortable chair with ottoman is the perfect place to perch with your cup of coffee and enjoy the view. This cabin is well maintained and has pretty much everything you will need for your stay. It was very clean, well organized and the decor was spot on without being cluttered or overwhelming. Jeremy is the perfect host! He communicates very well, answers very promptly, accommodates special requests within reason, yet he is never intrusive. The only thing I feel that needs mentioning is that the rental house in the back is very close, but honestly, we only ever saw vehicles come and go and was never bothered by anyone. I cannot recommend this rental enough. In a perfect location about 10 miles outside of Ouray, a couple of miles from downtown Ridgway and about 30 miles from Montrose. So much to see in this area!

Great central location

We had an amazing stay in Ridgway! The space was perfect for our family—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location couldn’t be better, right between Ouray and Telluride, making day trips to both a breeze. Every morning we enjoyed watching elk right from the property, which was such a treat. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, and everything about the home made our trip easy and relaxing. Even the kids got a kick out of the Charmin high-quality toilet paper—it’s the little touches like that which make a place memorable! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Prairie Paradise

Our family enjoyed watching the wildlife on the property. The prairie dog town, the elk, birds an other animals made our stay such a joy. Perfect home base for hiking and exploring. Very clean house and convenience to Ridgway restaurants. Great deck for grilling and just far enough off highway for quiet enjoyment of mountain views. Highly recommend.

Eloped Out in Ouray!

Let me tell you, this was such a special stay for us. We stayed for several days at this property while we eloped out in Yankee Boy Basin. Being able to come back after a day of exploring, open all the south-facing windows in the living room, and just marvel at the view of Mt Sneffels, Whitehouse Mountain, and the Mears Peak was really something we needed. We've been working hard for the last couple of years, so to finally have this chance to relax and slow things down - I couldn't have pictured a more perfect location to do so. The property is clean and tidy, all wrapped into a manageable space. The patio during sunset/sunrise is such a treat too - watching all the storms come and go during our stay was exactly what we asked for. We'll certainly be back in the future!

Perfect views

This house was perfect for our needs! Close to both ridgeway and ouray, yet it felt like we were fairly secluded. As nice as the house was, the view was the best part!

Wonderful

The house and location was great. Perfect location and closes to trails for riding are side by side and lots of parking for trailers . Would loved to have T V in bedrooms. Wonderful place to stay.

House on the Prairie

The house is in a great location, just a few minutes from downtown Ridgway. Great views of the San Juan mountains. Well stocked kitchen. Spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. The house was very well maintained and clean. Wifi worked well. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Ridgway area. Short drive to Ouray (20 minutes) and about a 50 minute drive to Telluride.

Perfect stay for a San Juan Weekend!

Recently booked a long weekend at this property and it was absolutely perfect for a group of motorcyclists exploring the San Juan's for a few days. We could not find a property in Ouray proper that was a) affordable and b) would allow us to park a few vans securely for our stay. The house was super clean, perfectly equipped and it was just a few minutes outside Ouray. The host had great communication, check in/out were smooth as could be. We will definitely stay here in the future again. Thank you!

The property is amazing. There is not one thing i would change. The owner has thought of everything from towels to fans. The property is close to everything and has million dollar views. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
