Many issues with this condo....mirror closet in spare bedroom cut my friend's finger when she tried to open it, clock doesn't work in kitchen, spare rooms headboard had nails coming out of it and no internet last day because wasn't left with new id and pw after they came and changed out the box. Condo def needs updating and a deep clean.

Destin condo

Our stay was a good one with family and going to the beach. It is time for this owner to do some serious updates on this unit. All mattresses need to be replaced. The carpet is deplorable and I wanted to gag every time I had to walk on it. The master bathroom is filthy and needs some serious deep cleaning.

Great location & Laid back beachfront

Check-in was super easy and condo was available as stated. The condo was very nice sized and comfortable. Customer service was top notch when we needed them. There is a built in large ice maker in the cabinetry which was a nice bonus! We didn’t have to run to get ice daily for the cooler. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Located close to elevator and trash drop which was so convenient. Balcony right over the heated pool was nice and the view was beautiful. The beachfront was not crowded and very laid back. The unit could use some updating, especially carpeting for the price but overall very nice getaway.

The location of this condo is excellent and very convenient to the beach and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay less enjoyable.It was not disclosed that the unit is directly across from the elevators, so we heard neighbors at all hours. The guest bedroom that faces the elevators has no curtains, so hallway lights and noise came in throughout the night, making it hard to sleep.The guest bedroom also had a strong, musty odor, and the plush carpet in the bedrooms held onto that smell. The carpet is old and needs replacing. Cleanliness was lacking. The floors were dirty upon arrival, and my child’s white socks were brown within hours. Bathroom doors showed significant wear with peeling paint. There were gnats in the kitchen sink, a dead moth in the closet, and moth holes in the master bedroom curtains.The biggest frustration was the beach setup. I asked months in advance if tents were allowed and was told yes, as long as they were behind rental chairs and umbrellas. When we arrived, large signs clearly stated that tents and canopies are not allowed. This was difficult with a three year old who needed shade, and the beach chair and umbrella rentals were extremely expensive.This condo has potential because of its location, but it needs a deep cleaning, updates, and more accurate communication. We will not be staying here again.

Pleasant but needs work

Overall the condo was very nice but much room for improvement. Our family has traveled to many domestic & international locations & has seen varying levels of well maintained & stocked condos, homes, etc. So we suggest: Most important considering we had to pay a healthy cleaning fee upfront , the "cleaning" was unsatisfactory. COVID aside, it was evident that little effort had been put into sanitizing since the floors were very dirty. Worse yet, the kitchen had clearly not been cleaned or even remotely sanitized. Much of what everyone comes in contact with appeared to NOT have been wiped down: countertops, cabinets, cabinet handles, refrigerator, etc. This is a primary area where people gather and cook food (above all!) & it looked & felt very unsanitary. We had to take the time to wipe down and disinfect everything The carpets should be cleaned or replaced. Quite honestly, I believe a refund of the cleaning fee is due to us since we had to do this work. Other recommendations are: *Provide waffle maker - albeit small but this is nice to have to allow for a variety of breakfast food. *much larger selection of glasses is needed (no small juice glasses, very limited beverage and wine glasses) *drawer full of dish towels would be great so it's not necessary to wash the only three that were provided every other day (we change them daily since they see A LOT of action). *Wi-Fi in the condo did not work. We had to log in using another condo's. The Wi-Fi should be secured, as well. People do have the need to send sensitive or personal information via internet, etc. (for work) &, though I'm not an IT expert, a password common to the entire building is inviting issues. *We did attempt to text the number provided 2x to resolve Wi-Fi issues but never received a response & it turns out that the number on the laminated card was incorrect/invalid. *the cleanliness of the hall-bath was also sub-par. The shower curtain/line should be replaced. It displayed mold feels very unsanitary. *providing a binder/folder with list of recommended things to do, restaurants, activities, local attractions, etc with websites & contact info listed would go a long way Finally, the chair/umbrella policy should be revisited. A family of 4 should be able to use 4 chairs/two umbrellas without additional charge. Beyond that a rental would be appropriate Unfortunate that "front row" seating isn't available at the beach since it's reserved only for those who rent.

The dryer was not working all week. We got there. It was not working. I put in two request to get it fixed. We had no dryer to do laundry.
