Red Desert's Miners Cabin, close to Arches & Canyonlands national parks
Our 5 Miners Cabins are all about 400 sq ft cabins and provides panoramic views of the Moab Rim, Spanish Valley & The La Sal Mountains with access to the surrounding National & State Parks, La Sal Mountain loop road & Ken's Lake Recreation Area. These cabins have unique history in that they were originally used as management quarters at the mines south of Moab and were relocated to this property years ago. Each cabin comes complete with a kitchenette, which includes a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, & double burner electric stovetop. A small living area has a flat screen TV with Direct TV and a queen sleeper sofa. Sleeping a total of (4) adults, a queen bed allows to sleep (2) guests, & the sofa bed folds out to sleep an additional (2) guests. The bathroom provides a tub with shower and the cabin comes completely stocked with linens, towels & toiletries at guest check-in (No daily housekeeping service is provided). Each Miners Cabin has its own private entrance & parking, with additional parking for adventure equipment on property. The cabin welcomes dogs only, with A $10 nightly fee (2 dogs max). Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog when making the reservation.

Calm and Cozy near Moab

I enjoyed my stay in this cabin type place just 10 min south of Moab. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable near the parks I wanted to visit.

Super clean, welcoming and cozy. It was perfect for us and our two dogs. Quiet, beautiful views and outside of the busy area and only 7 minutes to get to where the action is. Cute Southwest decor and comfortable bed. There is nothing the hosts didn’t think of. We really appreciated the coffee maker and coffee!

Fabulous stay

The room was spotless and the uniqueness of the decor was inviting and cool! Everything was comfortable and nothing was overlooked. Plenty of room to walk the dog and even the dog park was nice and clean. Everyone was friendly and rules were not overbearing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Parks adventure

Daughter, older dog, and I stayed on the property for 3 nights. It was clean, safe, and quiet. A good place to relax away from the crowds in Moab, view the night sky from the deck out back, and let our fur baby relax with us. Good base for exploring the area.Enjoyed all the nice art in the cabin.

Perfect place for our stay

Perfect for us. My adult son and I stayed for 4 nights. Sufficient kitchen for us to do all the cooking we needed, close to Arches and Canyonland, AC worked great, comfortable and felt safe.

The cabin had everything we needed in a place to stay to go to Arches and Canyonlands. I only gave 4 stars simply because it's just off the highway and it's at the far end of town from the parks. However, the price was right and it only added about 10 minutes of driving.

Close to Moab and National Parks

Good place to stay to see Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. The property was as advertised. As others have mentioned, it’s in a an industrial looking area but was quiet and everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen had all we needed and there was a grill outback. We would stay here again.

Off The Beaten Path Perfection

We toured three parks in one day and were absolutely exhausted! We arrived at this little casita, melted into bed and slept like rocks. Super-cute. Super-clean, super-comfortable.

10 Year Anniversary Trip

This was an amazing venture! We have been to Moab UT many times. This year was our 10 yr Anniversary and brought our dogs alongs. This was a cute small cabin perfect for our week long stay. I would recommend and be back.

Great value for a quick trip to MOAB

We were completely satisfied with our stay. The space was enough for my family of 4. Check in process was easy as was check out. The miner's cabin is not fancy by any means so if you are looking for red carpet treatment, look somewhere else. If you are looking for somewhere acceptable and safe to sleep while enjoying all MOAB has to offer this is a good option.

We liked having the small kitchen available for snacks and lite breakfast. Appreciated the laundry services. The cottage was quaint and we enjoyed the local art throughout the cabin. The host suggested a coupe of side trips that we went on Including the La sal Mountain Loop.

Cabin was fine

When we got there, Moab was extremely hot like 107d. The air conditioning worked overtime cooling the place off, but during that type of outdoor heat, there is only so much A/C can do. The fan helped the situation. The property is going through a transition adding 50+ camping sites. I enjoyed talking to David, the manager. I would stay their again.

Great little cabin for a home base while exploring nearby parks.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in the minor’s cabin 3. We thought it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was exactly what we needed while in the area to visit Canyonlands, Arches, and Goblin Valley. We spent all day at the parks hiking and exploring. It was great to come back to the quiet cabin on the outskirts of the main part of Moab. We were just far enough away from the crowds but not too far. The bedroom bathroom and closet were small but perfect for 2. We watched the flat screen tv in the living room in the evenings and made a small breakfast in the kitchen each morning. We enjoyed the small enclosed patio in back to sit and relax before bed. We would stay again and recommend this cabin. We had a nice time here, with everything we needed.

Quiet, cozy cabin

The place is small but cute. We stayed for Thanksgiving and luckily made most of our food ahead of time. The toaster oven is only about 4-5" tall inside but luckily fit our needs... barely. The property is quiet but it's on the south end of town, in the nearby county, so you will get some traffic noise going 65mph+ and wifi isn't that great. Enough to get email, we were told, which was pretty accurate. The patio is small but nice if you're looking to use the grill or have a small fire. I could see in summer it would be nice to sit at the picnic table under the big shade tree. If you're looking for a dog friendly place in Moab, this is definitely a great option.

This was a great little spot to have a base camp while exploring the surrounding national parks! Good value for the price, and I liked that it was a little outside of town. The host was friendly and professional, and the check in/out process was a breeze. The Miner's cabin 3 does not have a toaster oven as advertised, however, and the back burner on the stove does not work, so plan accordingly.

Hi Emma! Thanks for the feedback. We will look into the burner issue. As far as the toaster goes, we do not keep the toasters, blenders, irons, ironing boards, and some other items in the cabins because they clutter up the place and collect dust mostly. We do have them at the office and are happy to get you one on request. Sorry that wasn't communicated clearer for your stay.

This is my second stay at the miners cabins, and there are some things that could probably be a bit more tidy. But, it’s definitely a place to sleep and shower when you need it on a trip.

St Danes Cabins

The overall property and hosts are awesome. Very easy going place to stay. South of the city center so it was quiet. Not so much traffic. In an industrial area that we thought we may have an issue with but it was so nice to get back to our cabin everyday after touring the area. We were glad we stayed here instead of the busy area downtown.

We appreciate your patronage and taking the time to review your stay. We make sure that all of our listings explain that we are 7 miles from downtown Moab in Spanish Valley, unfortunately many book based simply on price and do not realize our location until they arrive. Also, the fenced in area is not intended as a yard, its simply to enclose the deck area for privacy while having their own campfire or cooking a meal on the LP grill. We encourage guests to walk the paths throughout the 10 acres on property to better enjoy the views of Moab rim & the La Sal mountains. We also provide dog waste stations on the property and along the paths for those guests who reach out to us and confirm they are brining a dog with them during there stay. We noticed that you missed this step in your reservation, as well as the $10 dog fee. We will make sure this is more accessible to other guests moving forward. Thank you again and safe travels.

St. Danes Cabins & Campground is a true "Mom & Pop" property. We offer clean, comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, dog friendly cabins. Located 7 miles south of the town Moab in Spanish Valley. We have 5 adobe cabins with full baths, kitchenettes and fenced in back porches. We also have a Log home, called Big Horn cabin, it's a true log home with a lofted bedroom, full bath & kitchen, a huge wrap around porch equipped with an lp firepit, lp grill and a Hot tub.
