Great location, great vibe

Spent a fun week at this spacious, well appointed home. Lovely view of the lake while dining in the screened in porch. Comfortable beds, comfort throughout. Location is wonderful for easy drives to the National Seashore Beaches, Nauset, and Skaket. Right near bike rentals and the Rail Trail, a host of restaurants, and the Hot Chocolate Sparrow! Wonderful home for a week with family.

A Magical Place

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this vacation home. Beautiful laid out? tons of rooms and decorated. The hosts are super attentive and have provided everything you should need. Tons of space and the outdoor spaces are even better. I can't wait to come back again.

Perfect Stay!

Our stay was perfect! We didn’t want it to end! Truly a special property, we’ve stayed at many rental homes in Orleans and this is our hands down faborite. We were very comfortable, the home had everything we needed and more, very very well appointed. We brought our paddle boards and explored the area on water, we even saw some seals one evening which was so very exciting! Having Pilgrim pond down the road is excellent for the little ones, we spent most days at Nauset and Skaket (for sunset). Orleans is a special place and this is a special property, I cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful stay at beautiful house! Hope to come back next summer!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property! The house is gorgeous and nicely furnished with comfortable furniture and beds so you could relax. The living room was nice and large so all of us (10 adults/kids) could congregate and hang out. The backyard was amazing--there was a hammock, outdoor chairs, a fire pit, and a giant grass yard! The best part was the house is right by the water and there was a private trail you could take there. We rented kayaks from the company the owners recommended and it was super easy to go to the pond and have kayaking adventures multiple times a day. The location is fantastic as well. It is ~ a 15 minute walk to 2 lakes (Pilgrim Pond and Crystal Lake) and a 10 minute drive to both Nauset and Skaket beaches. The house is also a 10 minute drive to the nearby supermarket and CVS (very important!). Finally, the communication with the hosts was superb. The owner checked in with me multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed and were very responsive when we had questions. Overall an absolutely fabulous stay and we definitely want to come back next summer!

Lovely spot for an extended-family Cape vacation

This is a large and attractive rental and was ideal for our three-generation family vacation. The house is in a secluded location, across an inlet from the Kent's point conservation area, and has easy access to the inlet for launching kayaks or SUPs. Two ponds are a short distance away (one a short walk, though we drove because some in our party use walkers), and both ocean and bay beaches are short drives. The landlords were extremely responsive, helpful, and nice. The house is older than it appears in the photos, which means that it's quirky in both positive and negative ways; it has a mid-century vibe that I hadn't caught from the photos and is quite attractive, but a number of things (shades, some mattresses, the drier) could use repair or updating . Since this house is on the water, it would be great if the owners would provide a couple of kayaks and/or SUPs; we were lucky enough to borrow some. The "den" is usable as a single kid's bedroom, but would be more practical with a more-complete shade.

Since last year the house has undergone major renovations and all beds are new or less than a couple of years old. In addition we have replaced the shades. While we would love to provide kayaks, unfortunately for liability reasons it is not feasible for us to do so. We would be happy to share rental companies locally. We hope to have the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future!

Great time in Orleans

My family spent a wonderful week here. The house was clean and well located for day trips all over the Cape. The views and access to the water were special. We could easily launch our SUPs and paddle around the inlet. And even had a few seal sightings!
