Step away and enjoy an unplugged weekend at the Country Cabin!

The one-room cabin has a double bed, (linens provided), and table and chairs. The view from the porch overlooks agricultural land and it's not rare to see deer grazing near sunset.

Relax by the fire or explore the adjacent PA State Game Lands on foot, bike, or horseback. Boat and fish the Allegheny River that's a short drive from the cabin.

The cabin does not have electricity or running water. Electric lanterns and an outhouse are available for guest use.

Wonderful scenic stay

A beautiful get back to nature stay, with all of nature’s glory, even the cows. Will be looking forward to stay there again.

I had s great time staying at this quiet, rustic, camping cabin. It perfectly suited my needs as a landing pad after hiking in the Allegheny all weekend. The views were stunning and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The only hold-up I had was initially finding the place, as it can't easily be spotted from the main road and the turn off was not marked. So, with spotty internet in the area, it took some trial and error (but all good in the end). Thanks for having me! I would definitely like to stay here again!

Lovely stay

This was my first solo stay in a cabin without electricity and running water. I picked a great place and had a lovely night. No complaints, from start to finish communication was timely, the cabin had just what I needed, and I couldn't have asked for much more. I definitely will be adding this to my list of places to return when I have the chance.

The property is stunning and peaceful. The cabin is well built and well insulated with windows that open and is nicely furnished. The fire pit has adirondack chairs and an incredible view. The cabin is situated with 360 degree views of meadows, mountains, and sky. It is in a small grove of oaks so you can enjoy the sound of the breeze and birds. It is on a long driveway you can walk to take in the view of the sky and observe the horses, plants, and pollinators. The host is generous with supplies and answers messages promptly. I stay in cabins often but this was my favorite so far and the hardest to leave.

Favorite little cabin

Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to the weather but all in all this is a great property. It was very clean; even had a little information booklet when you walked in. The only issue we had was with the taxidermy in the cabin. The deer is in an awkward spot and made us feel like we were being watched. There also are two. sets of host we’ve gathered; Kate and another couple. We had trouble finding the road to the cabin in the dark but we really enjoyed our short stay in Pittsfield!!

Quaint place

Tranquil scenery with a cozy cabin that we dubbed the love shack! It couldn’t have been a better trip and we travel a lot, this little place was a special one.

My husband Mitchell and I are excited to welcome you to our little slice of the world in Pittsfield, PA.

We raise beef cattle and grow corn, oats, and hay. We also have horses and goats. Our weekends are spent camping with our horses, on the river, or around a friend's campfire.

Mitchell's family has wanted to open a vacation rental on their land for a long time. The opportunity to purchase this cabin made that dream a reality!

It is beautiful up on our hill, and our land borders the PA State Game Lands so guests can hike, bike, hunt, and enjoy the great outdoors.
