Visiting Davis has been an Edisto Beach tradition for decades. Its unique size is hard to come by today with beachfront vacation homes. Perfect for a smaller group or family, the amazing views of the St. Helena Sound are worth the trip alone. If relaxation is on the top of your vacation agenda, the second-story screened porch is fit for basking in the sweet breeze during a rainstorm or afternoon hiatus from the sun. The cottage has one bedroom on the main level, great for those that find numerous steps challenging. The cozy living makes for a wonderful meeting area to laugh and remember stories of vacations past. Davis is available for you to pause and enjoy all Edisto has to offer!

Per the Edisto Beach Police Dept., due to this home's location on Palmetto Blvd., golf cart(s) cannot be driven to or from this property.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Fun Beach Vacay

We loved that the house wasn’t elevated and that right outside the sliding glass doors was the deck and walkway that goes straight to the beach. The house was very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.

We love this beach house. It has the best walkway straight from the back door to the beach. And the kitchen is equipped with anything you will need. Cant wait to come back next year!

The home came as advertised. Great location, clean and loaded with all you would expect from a beach house. Easy boardwalk to the ocean. Quiet. No unwanted insects at all - super clean. Having the main bedroom on the lower floor was helpful for us. Thank you for having us !

Nightmare Stay with Cockroaches

Since I only have 1500 characters to say this I'll get straight to the point. Cons!!! 1)Terrible curb appeal. Not attractive in the front or back. 2.) Broken patio furniture on the front porch being held up by several stones placed on top of one another. 3.) Soft rotting floor being hidden by faux peel and stick hardwood flooring. Soft spots are dangerous enough that I actually thought I was going to fall through the floor. At least 10-15 soft spots. 4.) Bubble gums stuck to the shower floor in the second floor shower. My husband had to literally scrape it off the floor before my kids would use it. 5.) Black colored mold growing in grout in the first floor shower. 6.) Filthy sheets covered with sand and a dark brown shoe footprint. 7.) Broken curtain rod in the living room. 8.) Stained furniture and old worn down furniture in the living room. 9.) Dirty freezer. We opened up the freezer and closed it right away because we were not even sure what the filth was inside it. 10.) Lawn not cut. 11.) holes and stains on the walls. 12.) water damage on the ceiling in the kitchen. 13.) COCKAROACHES in the house. My husband chased one when it ran under the couch and upon moving the couch found three years of dead cockroaches, cheetos, and other garbage. 14.) The screened in porch had a bar of soap laying on it, a used bandaid stuck to the floor, a bathroom plunger by the door, and years of dirt and grime that I scrubbed off of most of the furniture. This house was such a disappointment.

Nice stay at the Davis house

We enjoyed our stay at the Davis house. The location is good and we loved the boardwalk to the beach. The kitchen is great and well equipped. Our first visit to Edisto and we loved how quiet it was so we were able to relax. My husband also loved how close we were to the golf course.

Heaven On Earth

We loved the beach access! The shower in the house was amazing! The gazebo was perfect for relaxing and watching the birds. We hope to come back EVERY YEAR!

Nice but needs work

We arrived, checkin was flawless. After frist checking in on Sunday evening we noticed a soft spot in the floor at the bottom of steps. Throughout the week we found more. Not sure if they were soft spots or shoddy cheap work when putting down laminate floor. You had to step around the spot at the bottom of the steps because the flooring cracked everythime you stepped on it. The washing machine had a very musty smell to it. Its a nice house but no where to store clothes so tou live out of your suitcases for a week. Also we checked in on sunday, on Monday afternoon a lady showed up at the house asking my mom what we were doing there that the house wasnt supposed to be rented that she was the owner and didnt really want to drive all the way back to Savanna. My mom felt she was giving us a guilt trip for being there. My opinion if you are using a property management company she should have never pulled into the house she should have called the rental company and cleared up with them what was going on. Not approach her guests.

A little piece of paradise

My two friends and I have been traveling to Edisto for a number of years. While we have stayed in different places, none compare to the Davis House. It is the most perfect place for us. The walk from the house to the beach is so convenient with the private walkway. While not on the beach, the upstairs screened-in porch was where we spent a lot of time eating meals, playing games, reading, and listening to the ocean and sounds of nature. We saw several deer, dolphin, and lots of butterflies throughout our stay. And the sunsets were breathtaking! My friends and I highly recommend Davis!

Edisto Retreat

We met another couple at this darling beach house. The beach access is absolutely wonderful and easy for everyone. The upstairs porch is perfect for watching sunsets! Would love to return to this easy living town.

On the sound

Beautiful spot for sunsets. Love the boardwalk to the beach. House is comfortable and clean. Upstairs deck is screened in and a good place to relax. Watched dolphins, fishing boats, and the deer came to visit,too.

Great small house for small group

House is great. Very clean at arrival but vacuum was not useful. Best kitchen & kitchen equipment of any rent house I have seen. Missing wine glasses. Location perfect. Worst problem was broken screens on porch, causing mosquito issue at night.

Family Vacy

We always stay at Edisto Beach and loved this bay front retail. The view and walk to beach were awesome! Enjoyed the sunsets. The house is on the small side but the kitchen is nice and the down stairs master bath is very nice. My husband loved the shower. All the children’s books were a surprising bonus!

Great house and location!

We stay here every year and really enjoy it. The location works well for us, the boardwalk to the beach makes it easy to get our beach supplies back and forth, and the porch and gazebo are perfect places to watch the afternoon storms.

Excellent home for small family. Beautiful views of the Sound from 1st floor and upstairs large screened Make sure screens are all intact.). It’s an intimate setting among larger houses for many people. The downstairs suite is great for two partners or one or two parents. Beautifully appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Refrigerator had ice/water options not working and shelves missing. Bedrooms are tiny, workable but not the most comfortable...We enjoyed our time together there and made great memories!

We loved the ramp. Travel with an adult son in a wheelchair. So hard to find an affordable accessible vacation house. Has an outstanding kitchen and screen porch. Can not say enough about the view!!!!!!
