The condo was well stocked. It would be great for families cause it was large enough with 2 bathrooms, a washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. All kinds of beach supplies, toys for the kids, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Unit is in a great location close to all Amenities. Only negative is the mattress is hard and uncomfortable and the unit needs some refreshing. The base boards and caulking are lacking and there should be blackout curtains in the master bedroom because the Sun beats in early and the lights at night shine through.

This place is horrible. It smelled disgusting. I found mold. The couch is broken. The chairs are stained. The toilet paper holder in one bathroom is just brackets sticking out. No bar for toilet paper. The beds are uncomfortable. It really was the smell. I saw an old review with pictures from Matthew in July. Everything he said is honest. The 10 star reviews must be fake. Please do not ever stay here. The smell was overwhelming. It made me ill. The host does not provide refunds and is not responsive. The property manager moved us to another unit. That was after we complained directly to VRBO and had to threaten legal action. DO NOT STAY AT THIS CONDO. I’ve never in all my years coming to Florida- had a smelly moldy unit. The bathroom pictures are inaccurate also. The lamps are rusty. Peeling paint. Water damage on the ceiling. I don’t normally leave reviews. But this was extremely bad.
Mold by vent.

Ripped sliding screen door which we were unable to even use.
Couch arm just gone. Nothing underneath that cover.

This property is nice, but with a little extra effort, it could be great. The location is wonderful, the pool is nice, and the beach access super. But the unit takes the easy way out on a few things, like broken and old beach chairs, bath towels that are old and insufficient, minimal kitchen supplies, etc. They tell you AFTER you book that this is a "self-catering" property and that stores are close by. But if you fly and don't drive to the property, it's not easy to bring a lot of extra things. And I don't want to spend my vacation shopping for salt and pepper and toilet paper. Just a little more effort could make this property into one I would return to when I visit family in Cocoa Beach, but without a few upgrades, I would think twice.

The condo had an overwhelming musty, moldy odor—so severe it gave my wife headaches. We had to buy a can of air freshener just to make it tolerable. It was clearly a known issue, as two stick-on air fresheners had already been placed in the hallway. The overall condition of the unit was disappointing:The couch was brokenMold was visible on the kitchen air ventsWater damage and mold surrounded the windowsThe sliding screen door was torn and difficult to open, possibly off its trackThe toilet paper holder had been ripped from the bathroom wall

Very clean and right on the beach!

Very nice location, happy with the place. Only issue was the mattress was uncomfortable and the elevator broke down while we were there and being on the fourth floor was not great! The view was great and seeing a rocket launch was a bonus! Having some beach chairs and umbrellas offered with the place would have been great,addition, what was there in a closet was in rough shape. Overall, was pleased!

Spanish Main Condo

The Spanish Main is a quiet, well maintained condo complex in a very good location fronting an uncrowded stretch of beach. I rate the Spanish Main complex 5 stars out of 5. The condo unit itself I rate 3 stars. It showed a lot of milage. The kitchen laminate countertop was chipped. The master bath shower doors were out of commission, with a note attached that repairs are pending, and the toilet paper holder was partially detached from the wall. The baseboards were chipped and in need of painting, and one of the PVC chairs for the high top table on the patio was broken. Consumable supplies were minimal...one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, small soaps, one dishwasher pod, one soap unit for the washing machine, no coffee filters, no box of kleenex. This does not compare well the other VRBO properties I have rented. Of the 3 TV's, they have cable service and are in good working order, but none are smart TV's, so make sure to bring a streaming device to watch your own streaming services. The view of the beach and gulf is wonderful, which makes up for other short comings, but this unit could easily be 5 stars with a few repairs and a few more supplies.

Less than ideal

Condo needs lots of upgrades. Things were broken that had notes that things were on order. Lamps were rusty. We went to an open house at a unit that was for sale, and it was beautiful. The one we were in needs lots of TLC. Complex was nice with great walkway to the beach.

Beware

This is an ancient property probably from the 60’s. The exterior is not well maintained and the elevator was so scary that we walked up and down 3 flights rather than take the chance of getting stuck. We only stayed 3 nights of our 4 night reservations.

worth the price

Nice location in Cocoa Beach. Nice heated pool and close to the beach. The condo wasn't "high end", but it was clean and worth the price.

Good but not great!

We have stayed at this property 6/7 times in multiple units visiting regularly from nearby Orlando. The unit is nicely appointed and has a great view of the ocean with very beachy feel and vibe. However as previous reviews highlighted the beds need attention! All three, the twins and the queen not only squeaked but were very uncomfortable. Many areas of the unit could use new paint. Other than that the stay was very enjoyable!

It was a very good accommodation. One note: the balcony screen door is off its slide and the furnace filter badly needs replacing.

Cocoa Beach waterfront stay

Great location, beautiful view of the ocean. Condo was very clean and had 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Nice deck and hightop outdoor set. Very close to beach. Convenient parking. Very nice pool.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place did have a great view of the ocean. It did smell moldy when we first walked into the unit. Beautiful beach location

The location and beach access couldn't be better! The condo was comfortable and spacious, and so nice to have a washer/dryer. We were disappointed that there were no basic supplies in the kitchen such as salt/pepper, sugar or coffee filters. The quantity of dishes and towels was minimal. Bathroom supplies were minimal but adequate, however both bathrooms are in need of new towels. All in all, we enjoyed our five day stay with a beautiful beach.

Great stay

We had a really nice time. We would definitely stay here again. The overall property was very clean, the pool was great and being close to the beach was wonderful. We forgot our son’s boogie board, so it was a nice surprise to find one in the closet, along with lots of other beach items. The only issue was a musty smell when we arrived, I don’t know why because everything appeared very clean. We used some plug in air fresheners and that helped.
