We’re thrilled you’re interested in visiting our happy place! We are a family of five and we’ve spent the last 18 years vacationing in the Glen Arbor area. Welcome to Paradise Found!

Situated at the Homestead Resort, our condo has direct sandy frontage on Lake Michigan as well as direct frontage on the Crystal River. We recently completed a full remodel including all new flooring, kitchen, bathroom, drywall, insulation, paint, built-ins, and new furniture.

We’ve maximized the space to technically sleep 8, but the size is perfectly suited for 5-6 people.

Mother Nature steals the spotlight in Glen Arbor - but there is nothing better than returning to our cozy condo after a long day exploring and enjoying the sites. When remodeling our condo, we spared no comfort-related detail. The interior space is well suited to parties of 5-6 people and is family-friendly.

Outside, there are two decks to lounge on which overlook the river and small dunes near the beach. Crystal River is located directly outside our door and flows into Lake Michigan. Grab a kayak, stand-up paddle board, or tube (all included with your stay) and float your cares away while taking in the stunning views only northern Michigan can offer. Want to be near the open water? Cross the bridge steps from the condo and find yourself on miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. The condo is located on the beach chosen by Money Magazine as "No. 1 of the 8 Best Beaches to Visit this Summer" and is surrounded by the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore which was chosen by the viewers of ABC's Good Morning America as the "Most Beautiful Place in America."

Please note: there are no Homestead Beach Club privileges with this rental. You have access to miles of beach, but not to their beach club. The bunk room does not have a window, it has two doors; a pocket door to the master and a door to the living room.

The kitchen had everything I needed...the condo was very clean. Had extra towels...instructions on how to use items in home and ideas for restaurants and places to visit. Really enjoyed my stay as well as the magnificent view of Lke Michigan. Would definitely do again!

If I could summarize this property in one word, it would be serenity. Wonderful town, beautiful beach, and the condo was perfect! Matt was the best host, answering all our questions and always in communication to make sure we had everything we needed. The only downfall we had with the whole trip was the bed wasn’t very comfortable, but other than that it was a wonderful vacation and I hope to stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Had the perfect solo trip and this place was a gem. Not only is the location wonderful the surroundings provided so many trails to hike or bike, beaches, and beautiful scenery. I highly recommend.

The location of the condo is absolutely perfect! You are a short drive from everything you need or want to explore! We loved having the river and lake right outside our back door! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook with. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of blankets and pillows to accommodate our family of 6. The owner was awesome about getting right back to me with any questions I had. He gave a detailed description of anything and everything we would need to know. I love his description came with local places to go! The water toys and chairs were great to have on site so we didn't have to pack extra in the car with us. We ventured to Empire Trail, Glen Arbor, Traverse City and Fishtown which were short drives from the condo.

Beautiful, well-maintained condo, right on the Crystal River. There are a getting to be quite a few rental properties at the Homestead that are getting pretty rough around the edges, in need of updates, and not well-cleaned--this is not one of those! Unit is nice and well-equipped, and owner is responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Location location location!

This condo is SO close to all the main sights of Sleeping Bear (5 mins to downtown glen arbor and 9 to dune climb). The beautiful Lake Michigan beach is a 100 yard walk from the deck, across the little bridge and a small dune. We spent every afternoon at the beach, the kids loved playing in the water and looking for shells/rocks. Inside the condo was sparkling clean, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and linens. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals as well. We also enjoyed using the kayaks made available by the owner to kayak down the crystal river right outside and into Lake Michigan. The deck patio furniture gets spider webs really quickly and needed a really good wipe down. The other condo guests were quiet and pleasant, no young partiers here in early June. Truly a lovely getaway. Would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you Matt for your hospitality!!

Mid November Get Away

We had a really good time, you can’t beat the location! The check in and communication with the host was outstanding. The unit was clean and organized. We only rated the overall stay at 4 stars because the unit is very small, and there is no option for grilling food. Other than that this was a great experience!

Perfect getaway

We loved this condo for our long weekend for fall break! It was a perfect getaway with beautiful surroundings and cute little towns. The condo was clean and communication with the owner were great! I definitely recommend a stay here!

We had an amazing time at this condo. The location is so great. So close to nature between the river, the dunes, the beach and the lake! The Kings and Steelhead were running up the Crystal. It was almost too much. We can’t wait to go back.

Lovely spot!

This was a great place to stay, steps from Lake Michigan and the Crystal River. The beach was also really nice, not rocky like some Lake Michigan beaches can be. The condo was great for a small group ( 2-5 people). Everything you need for a Northern Michigan vacation.

Perfect location

One of the best spots at the homestead! Super clean, great updated kitchen and bathroom, easy to reach the property manager by text. The only slight issue is that the bedrooms are tiny. Otherwise awesome stay and we would return.

Peaceful, beautiful Up North escape

This was our second trip to “slice of paradise” and once again it did not disappoint. It was a perfect respite during the unseasonably warm temps. The cool lake breezes and multiple fans kept the condo cool and comfortable. You really don’t need to bring anything extra… this condo equipped for everything needed to enjoy the river and Lake Michigan! The condo is super cute, comfortable, and a perfect location to enjoy all that northern Michigan has to offer… including a kayak trip with Crystal River Outfitters in Glen Arbor. Would highly recommend this condo!

First time to Michigan

We loved the location of this condo and it was exactly as described. It had everything we needed and was very clean and well put together. Long weekend stay

This condo is lovely. Great location, nicely decorated, well kept and includes all you need- kayaks, paddle board, tubes, etc. Matt is a great host and was always available to answer questions during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Fall weekend getaway

Beautiful views of small dunes overlooking Crystal River directly from the condo windows. Over the small dunes is beautiful Lake Michigan. Very peaceful. Condo was set up with all the amenities. The owner was very helpful and stayed in great contact.

A little slice of heaven!

1st, this property is exactly as advertised and depicted in the online photos (not always the case right?). 2nd, the location is ideal. Just steps from the the scenic Crystal River and only a few more (across a small dune) to a pristine beach and Lake Michigan. 3rd, the condo has undergone a recent and tasteful renovation. 4th...well you probably got the picture. Everything you need has been provided by the owners. The condo is ideal for a couple or small family. If you're actively into water activities, kayaks, boogie boards, and a paddle board (with life jackets) are included. If you'd rather stay still and soak in the rays on the beach, beach chairs and an umbrella are at your disposal. The location within the Homestead Resort has many advantages such as an on site shop & restaurant for food/coffee. Plus you are only a 5-7 min drive to Glen Arbor and all it's offerings. Or, like us, you could take your bikes into town along the scenic Sleeping Bear Heritage trail (a 20 mile plus mostly paved trail) which has a trail head just next to the Homestead entrance (so convenient)! We stayed in late Sept when the weather was still great but the summer crowds had gone home. Most shops and restaurants were still open but some had limited hours. I can imagine the vibe is different during the peak summer times but after an active day you still get to relax on the condo's deck (or cross the dunes to the beach) and catch a gorgeous relaxing sunset! Go/Enjoy!
