“Beachfront Bliss” is a gorgeous beachfront 6 bedroom, 5 bath beachfront that sparkles inside & out. This home accommodates up to 12 guests, making it ideal for large families or group getaways. Discover generous living spaces with a bright, open floor plan and windows offering 180-degree picturesque waterviews & stunning sunsets that will add extra tranquility to your vacation.
Great room with a flat screen TV and fireplace, well-appointed kitchen complete with modern appliances and all the essentials for a delightful cooking experience. There is one bedroom on the 1st floor, two on the 2nd floor & three on the 3rd floor, all furnished with king or queen beds. Full bathrooms on each floor for convenience.
This beautiful home has lots of room for entertaining, either outside in the spacious backyard or inside with lots of open space. Beautiful and Relaxing

Our stay was perfect. The house is amazing and has such beautiful views and lots of green space in addition to being beach front. The host was very responsive and great to work with. We loved our stay so much we looked to see if it was available for another family trip.

We had a great time celebrating birthdays and spending time together. We made great meals and played lots of cards and games (as the weather didn’t cooperate). The house was very comfortable.

Beautiful Alice of heaven

We had the best time at the shore! This house is perfect for families with multiple generations or many couples! Breathtaking views from the second you walk in, beach access & cozy fireplace. Perfection.

Very Nice

We just visited this home for a Anniversary celebration. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was amazing. Area was very quiet and out of the way which we loved. This is definitely the perfect home for larger group get togethers. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed. Only thing we missed was not having a area to build a campfire. Make sure to take bug spray as the bugs are bad in the evening. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Great space and location

The location, size and layout of this house are fantastic. There was plenty of room to spread out and keep napping babies and toddlers away from activity of the main living area. Doug from Blue Heron was very helpful in arranging a temporary blockade of the stairs to corral an active toddler. The wall of windows with water view is lovely - sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. Being just a few steps from the beach was very convenient. This would have been a 5 star review had the house been cleaner and better maintained. Hopefully before next season it will get a deep cleaning and some basic updates.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is nice. Sits on land that abuts the water with great views. When we got there, the house was very cold and trying to understand the thermostat, one needs a PhD. After a an hour or so, we got it going but it takes a long time for the house to heat up (and probably cool down in the summer). It had snowed a couple of days prior and there were snow drifts across the driveway and at the front door. I asked about this and a shovel was dropped off. Other than this stuff, the house is comfortable and nice.

Secluded getaway

Rating Details: The location is secluded with private beach access. The rental was spotless. Ground floor bathroom is handicap accessible for older guests. If you want a secluded getaway this is it, otherwise look elsewhere. Overall, I would highly recommend this rental. Reviewer Comments: Fantastic sunsets, white sandy beaches for a stroll. The sundeck and remote deck overlooking the beach provide great views of the bay. For a high end rental the management should take care of the garbage, the sundecks are showing their age a bit. We did not swim because it was a little chilly, providing a canoe or kayak would be nice. Despite the small negatives I would go back again with more guests

This house was the best stocked house we have ever stayed at and we rent up to four times per year in different areas. We had one small issue and it was resolved immediately! Amazing space, family memories and so glad we had this experience. My only recs and they are minor.... 1) Get a second refrigerator. For the large home, it would be helpful to not have to use coolers as well. 2) maybe add a vegetable peeler and cheese grater.

Great annual family vacation

This was our second time staying here with extended family and it was mostly as great as last time. Great location, wonderful private beach, big enough for the whole family. We were thrilled to see another fridge added when we got there because the single fridge is really too small for large groups. Unfortunately it was added because of an issue with the main fridge. The main fridge was working when we arrived and was "fixed" midweek. After the fix, it stopped working and we lost everything in the fridge. The property manager did not respond to our texts about this and never followed up about it which was truly disappointing.

Pictures don't lie! House offers amazing ocean views and private beach access.

The house was large enough to accommodate our familes and gave the kids spaces to hang out. The bedrooms were spacious and the layout worked great. This house is all about the beach. The observation deck overlooking the private beach allowed us to enjoy unobstructed views of sunrises and sunsets. The beach was so quiet that we had most of the space to ourselves. Our biggest issue was the poor cleaning job before we checked in. We found the fridge filled with leftovers and half-used condiments, jars, etc. We also found used shower sponges and soaps in the bathrooms. That plus all of the insects (dead and flying) made for a rough first impression. Before we could settle in we spent time cleaning bathrooms, and emptying the fridge and freezer. As an FYI, the driveway is lined with sharp decorative seashells so make sure you always have something on your feet before you step out the front door.

3rd Annual Family Gathering

In a nutshell, this place is GOLDEN!!! We were more than impressed when Doug from Blue Heron was so easy to work with regarding answering all my questions and resolving a situation with the refrigerator that could have been quite inconvenient for us, but he promptly accommodated my request. This home was absolutely more than we hoped for and my family had the best time from the first day to the last! We sought serenity and privacy and we had it. The house was perfect for us each to have our own ‘space’ and come together in the grand living room! The sunsets were as hoped for, our own private beach exceeded our expectations and we had a blast with fishing and using the crab cages and catching fiddler and hermit crabs and strolling along the beach after the storms. We could let the children safely get into the water with their floatees while we watched at waters edge. We enjoyed a friendly resident blue heron who seemed to stand guard over us. We have all agreed that this house will be the gold standard that we measure every other VRBO against in the future and plan to return! We made precious memories here……6/17/23 to 6/24/23

Great location and functionality

The pros: This house was a great space for a large family gathering of adults and kids. The location on the water is nice great for sunsets and east water access for the kids. These are the main reasons to rent this house. You can walk to the south edge of the property around the rock armoring along the beach. We didn’t see this until low tide and already had some cut feet. What could have been better? - For the amount each stay pays in a cleaning fee, it should be much cleaner. The patio doors were filthy so we cleaned them and the glass coffee table was likewise dirty. Several surfaces where in need of a wipe down. The kitchen supplies really needs to be gone through. Plates and bowls had dried food all over them, there was a partial lasagna in the oven (thank you Dawn spray and wash), and several cooking tools either smelled rancid or had food caked in them. Only one wash cloth for every two people? At least everyone got their own towel. I don’t expect a VRBO to stock you with everything you need, but they could have done a better job with trash bags (only one), paper towels (one roll), and limited toilet paper. There were issues with the fridge not working, which we knew the week prior, and they provided another fridge. The second one didn’t work either, but at least they were responsive. Unfortunately, the second one smelled of fish and we had to clean it out with vinegar. Overall I’d rent again for the space and location.

We stayed for a week in September…6 couples that have been vacationing together for years. This property was a major disappointment! The “fruit flies” made living conditions quite uncomfortable to say the least. Swarms of them in the kitchen and many of the bedrooms. I called the property manager. They sent two small devices that were supposed to control the infestation! Absolutely not! There were two sliding glass doors to the deck that were impossible to open and slide! I would discourage any stay at this property……the owners and the property managers care little about your experience or the comfort of your stay.

A Memorable Stay in Cape Charles

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a fun-filled week at this beautiful home with 11 family members ages 7 months to 65+ in early June. The spacious home gave us plenty of room to do things together and spend time alone when we needed a break. The private, fine sand beach and warm, shallow water were perfect for all. The outdoor shower made it easy to clean up after a fun day at the beach. The separate observation deck was a great place to play cards or enjoy some quiet time. One morning 2 bald eagles came to visit us there. The 3 levels of living space provided great space for every family member and privacy for sleeping. Plenty of room for flying kites, lawn games, nature walks, building sandcastles and watching spectacular sunsets. Be sure to check out nearby Kiptopeke State Park.The extra refrigerator in the garage was a big help. The management company was very responsive to one small issue we had during our visit. What a memorable trip!
