Make Vail 21 #407 your luxurious retreat in Vail, just 75 yards from the Eagle-Bahn Gondola. This modern, bi-level vacation rental comfortably accommodates 8 guests with two bedrooms, a loft and three bathrooms. Features include a king bed in the master bedroom, a king bed in the second bedroom, two sets of twin bunk beds in the third bedroom, and a sofa sleeper in the living area. Enjoy high-end finishes, wood flooring, and a wood-burning fireplace. The condo offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. Additional amenities include a private balcony with a gas grill, a private deck facing Vail Mountain, an exercise bike, and in-unit washer/dryer. The complex also features a rooftop hot tub, and you'll have one assigned parking space on-site. Front desk and concierge services are available at The Landmark, though daily housekeeping is not provided. Elevator access is available in the building.

The condo was great for our family. We enjoyed the roof top patio. The location was perfect. You are able to walk to stores, restaurants and activities.

Inaccurate listing cause a poor experience

We are a family of 6 adults and 2 babies. The listing described 3 bedrooms. However, the unit is actually 2 bedrooms and a loft area which has no door and a partial wall above the living room. This creates an impossible sleeping situation for folks in the loft if people are downstairs cooking, talking or watching TV. In addition the kitchen/dining/living area VERY small. The living room does not have seating for 8 people despite the listing allowing 8. We were able to move to another unit which we were very thankful for but the first 24 hours of our trip involved unpacking in this unit, trying to find new housing then repacking, moving and unpacking again. Not a relaxing start to our vacation, especially with 2 babies. The one positive was this unit is updated and beautiful. It would be perfect for 2 couples, but no more than that.

Would NOT Recommend

I was so excited about this stay for Mother’s Day weekend w/ my mom & family. But unfortunately it wasn’t what I had hoped. There’s not even enough characters to explain the multiple issues we had.- Communication from the host was little to none.- Front Desk was rude.- Spent over an hour on the phone w/ customer service trying to find out where & how to check in bc the host sent ZERO info the day prior like they’re supposed to. (Mind you, I had 3 small kids who had been in the car for hrs at that point.)- Once checked in, the unit was 79 degrees & had no A/C which would be fine if it wasn’t Summer. - The unit had several damages like the sliding balcony door wouldn’t lock. (Remember 3 small kids) We had maintenance come look & he laughed & said “yeah that’s broken”.- We had confirmed w/ the front desk a late checkout the day before due to it being Mother’s Day the next day & I just wanted to sleep in till 8. At 9:56 the next morning I had two missed calls & a voicemail stating we had to be out at 10:00 bc the owner was coming so we couldn’t have the late checkout anymore. FOUR mins before they wanted us out. So I called back & she said “well I can give you till 10:30 but that’s it.” So as I’m trying to get 3 kids ready & rushing 4 people out the door, Housekeeping was standing w/ all their stuff outside the door & kept knocking & knocking starting at 10:00 a.m. we were out at 10:15.WORST STAY EVER. & I NEVER give bad reviews so that should tell u something.

Bad Listing Information

The issue we had with the place is the listing sleep I g arrangements versus reality. The listing had a sofa bed listed in the living room. The sofa bed did not exist and lead to some pretty awkward sleeping arrangements for our group.I tried to address through VRBO but didn’t receive a response at all.

Wonderful condo in a perfect location!!

We had a wonderful stay here. Such a fun spot and easy access to everything!! Loved the views and being able to see all the activity outside. Check in and check out were super easy and communication with the office was quick! Would stay again. Very clean and comfortable!! A perfect spot and vacation!

Beautiful Condo in great location

Perfect space for 5 adults. Two master bedrooms with bathrooms and a private loft space with its own bathroom. Everything we needed was supplied. Very clean and well equipped. In the middle of everything but private and quiet.

Weekend in Vail

The property was terrific. Very clean, enough bed space for 6 of us (ages 10-50). The location is terrific and parking was easy. Easy to check in and check out. We would stay there again.

The old bait & switch

This is NOT the unit we stayed in. We received a call as we leaving to drive to Vail. I was told the hot tub was not working & that we were being switched to a nicer, newer, renovated unit. That it was an “upgrade”. When we got there, the unit had not been renovated (20+ year old decor/furnishings) dirty rugs & dark. We were expecting 2 king beds but only received 1. Not happy at all.

Great weekend getaway!

We came up from Denver for one last ski weekend for the season. This place was perfect! 3 adults and 3 children, plenty of space, perfect location close to the gondola. We'd love to stay here again in the future and definitely recommend it to other families!

Lionshead Rental Vail 21

As advertised. We have stayed in several units in Vail 21 over the years, this one probably had nicer finishes than others in the past. It will sleep 8 people, but the unit is a bit tight for that big of a group, especially the loft which has 4 twin beds (bunk style). The pictures make the condo appear a bit bigger than it feels. It would be great if you didn't have to walk over to Landmark to check in. The door to the unit is a code that can be provided via a message, and the parking pass could be left in the unit--but not a big deal. The mgmt company was very responsive to some needs (extra towels, TP, and a clogged drain). The two hot tubs in Vail 21 have poorly functioning jets. The location of this condo is excellent, very easy walk to Eagle-Bahn. The building is very quiet. Would rent again for sure.

Excellent location and good amenities

This apartment was excellent for families and so close to the gondola. It was comfortable for all three generations. In terms of basic items there was no salt, pepper or oil to cook with nor laundry detergent not even a microfiber to wipe down counters. We ended up having to purchase a lot of things… unusual for a rental of this type especially in a place like Vail. Also there is no cleaning service if you rent through VRBO. The apartment is quite dated and needs new carpets etc but given its location it’s something most people will forgive. All in all we had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay.
