Extremely clean, well stocked kitchen and a very short walk to the Lionshead base area. Nice unit layout where the living room gets morning sun while the bedroom stays very dark (really helpful for light-sensitive sleepers like myself). Easy access to the car if parked on the main garage level. Washer and dryer are not in-unit but they are in-building and only one floor down. Provided laundry baskets were a nice touch! We would definitely stay here again.

Second stay for my husband and I, we stayed nearly two weeks! The property is in a great location, in Lionshead village, walking distance to Vail village, restaurants, hiking, and more! We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi, overlooking the beautiful on the Gore River. Condo was in great shape, perfect size for the two of us for an extended stay. Rick is very responsive to questions, and any needs. This condo was perfect for our summer getaway!

The condo was as advertised, with a great location and quick access to trails, shopping and restaurants. Kitchen was fully stocked, if you chose to cook and offered the comforts of home. The mountain view from the balcony was lovely. The check out process, only required to drop the keys off, so adding a drop box to the North building would be a convenient improvement! The condo size and layout would be perfect for families, with the murphy bed option in the living area, the only reason we did not do 5 stars, is the mattress in the main bedroom is worn. Overall, we would stay again!

Excellent stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. The location was super convenient to the gondola and the ski valet was perfectly situated. The couches in the room were cozy and comfortable. Murphy bed worked great for our two boys to sleep on. Thanks for a great stay!

Home away from home

I was born and raised in a suburb of Charlotte, NC (Huntersville) and was living in Wilmington, NC when I was invited to a girls weekend get-away to Vail in 1993. I met my (now) husband Rick in the Red Lion the first day of that trip (blissful ever since!). Rick was living in Wisconsin at the time, so we dated long-distance for a year and a half. The following year he proposed to me at the top of the Mountain Top Express lift (4) overlooking Sun Up Bowl, China Bowl, and what is now Blue Sky Basin with a photographer in-tow. I said "yes!" and moved to the Midwest to start our new life together (I'm still not certain that leaving a coastal community for the Midwest was the best idea :-). After raising our three kids in suburban Minneapolis, in 2017 we traded our snow blower for the sun and sand dunes of Hilton Head Island, SC...you know the old saying..."you can take a girl out of the South but you can't take the South out of the girl y'all!" :-). We love the beach but get our "snow fix" in Vail as often as we can. Needless to say, Vail is truly a magical place for us. Our family (which now includes grandkids) continues to enjoy Vail often in all seasons.

Owning a place in Vail was a dream of ours since the day we met. Now that we have a place to call our own, we are happy to share our Vail home with you to make your own memories.

Lion Square Lodge is so close to all that Vail has to offer. The ski-in/ski-out convenience and Lionshead Village Square steps from the door make this the perfect place to be, winter or summer. Lion Square Lodge has so many amenities which makes staying here incredibly easy and convenient. Unlike several ski-in/ski-out places, Lion Square Lodge North Residences are very quiet during the evenings which makes it the perfect place for families and couples looking for a romantic get-away.
