The cutest home base for your hills vacation. Our newly constructed home was built with travel in mind. Upstairs there are two king masters with en-suite bathrooms, a bunk room with 4 XL twin beds, another full bath, laundry and a flex room to chill and play foosball or board games. On the main is the full kitchen, dining and living room with an indoor/outdoor fireplace and a half bath. In the backyard is a 4 person hot tub. Walking distance to downtown Hill City and the Mickelson Trail, located on Main Street with a garage.

This was the perfect place for our group of 6 visiting for the Sturgis rally! First off, the house is beautiful and well appointed! Lots of touches that made this the perfect place to stay. The garage provided a place to park 4 motorcycles and gear and it was an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. The hosts were very helpful with a spot to park our trailer and made communications easy. I would not hesitate to book this house again!

Modern on Main was in the perfect location as we were in town for our daughter’s wedding at Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park. Many of our family members were staying in hotels nearby so we were central for everyone. The beautiful kitchen was well equipped so I was able to cook all the food for the rehearsal dinner for my daughter’s wedding. It was also close to Krull’s Market for when we needed a few things here and there throughout the week. There were many attractions nearby as well. The place was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. While we didn’t have any issues, it was nice to know that the hosts were nearby and available if needed. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area for a visit!

Absolutely the Best

I have stayed at many VRBOs all over the world and this would be in my top three!! Adam and Lacey have created such a beautiful and welcoming home with so much attention to every detail. It is pristine clean and everything you need is provided and in perfect working order. We could not have asked for a more pleasant location, if you don’t mind a few train whistles, and a bit of pedestrian traffic. It is so close to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Black Hills

Modern on Main was a great property. New, clean with simple lines. Comfortable and fun. Exactly as advertised. Also very quiet and peaceful on the back patio. Lacey was welcoming and easy to communicate with. Restaurants and stores were all within walking distance down Main Street. Market a short drive up the road. Location was ideal for daily ventures to Black hill sites like Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park as well as the small towns of Keystone, Custer etc. There is the historic 1880 railroad depot across the street which operates from 9:00 AM with its last stop about 7:00 PM but we were out all day as well as for dinner. So, no bother. Highly recommend this property. Two en-suite king rooms plus a bunk room. Ideal for families or travel friends.

Excellent House & Perfect Location

Great place to stay for a family with young kids. Perfect location to take the 1880 Train. House was very clean and communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommend!

Family holiday trip

Wonderful layout, with having 2 masters and a kids bedroom. We all loved having our own bathroom upstairs, and a powder room downstairs. The location was perfect for walking to everything. We will rent again.

Such a lovely house!!! House was very clean and felt like home. Great location! Walkable to downtown Hill City and short drives to Custer, Keystone, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse!! Highly recommend this house for anyone staying in the area!

Modern, comfortable, convenient accommodations

We were visiting the area with friends and this was a great location - convenient not only to the various sites and activities we were there for, but also convenient to downtown Hill City - restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, etc. The house was lovely - obviously new but very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Only things I would call out - not an issue for us but might be for some: (1) the beds in the main rooms were platform beds, so lower to the floor than a regular bed. While they were very comfortable, getting in and out of them might be difficult for some. Also, there was a fair amount of street noise due to the house's location, and surrounding noise - dogs barking, ATVs/motorcycles revving engines, train whistles. Didn't bother us much, but if you're sensitive to noise or are looking for someplace with total peace and quiet, this might not be the place for you.

GREAT location by the M bike trail and walking distance to everything. The two master bedrooms were excellent with super comfortable beds.

Highly recommend

This is a great property- we’ve stayed a couple of times and never disappointed. The layout is perfect for couples with two master suites. Hot tub in the backyard is a nicely added bonus!

Wonderful Location

We stayed here with our family of 4 and also our friends and their 2 children. The town was wonderful and the house is located close to all of the activities we did during our stay. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and play room as well as the bunk room. We enjoyed the updated home and loved the en suites in the 2 primary bedrooms. Communication with the owners was great.

Hill City Adventure

This house right on the Main Street in Hill City was a great home base for our 2 families with kids. We loved the location and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The back patio is so nice to relax on and the inside/ outside fireplace is a nice feature. The hot tub was fun and we loved the layout of the house. It’s nice to hop right on the Mickelson trail for a walk. Our family enjoyed these adventures: Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park (especially Sylvan Lake), Spearfish Canyon. Hill City is a great, central location to all the attractions.

Exactly as pictured & perfect Black Hills location!

We stayed here for a family summer vacation and loved it! The home was clean and offered a great set-up for our four kids + we loved the extras like games/toys and the hot tub! The location is perfect - walking distance to the train, restaurants and downtown, plus very easy to get to all that the area offers. The main road traffic was a bit loud at times but we brought a fan and it wasn't a problem. The host had great communication. We would definitely stay here again!
