Well-maintained 6-bedroom townhouse with 5 full baths and a half bath. On a quiet beach with multiple decks and balconies for ocean and sound views.

The house rents as two separate duplexes — 6 bedrooms on each side — with identical floor plans. Three floors of living space with decks on each level. The kitchen is spacious with countertop seating for 6. The dining area has a large round table that seats another 7. Three bedrooms have private balconies with ocean views. Two other bedrooms open to a shared deck overlooking the ocean.

The first floor has 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bedroom with twin trundle beds, and a bunk room with 4 beds (2 are doubles and 2 are twins). The second floor has an open floor plan for living / dining / kitchen, a half bath, and a king master suite with a private balcony that offers ocean and sound views. The top floor has a penthouse suite (king bed) with a private deck facing the ocean. Private full baths for four of the bedrooms. A gas grill is provided on the deck off the kitchen. Great room has a gas fireplace with new 48” flat screen TV and DVD player. Dumbwaiter brings luggage and groceries up to 1st and 2d levels.

Free WiFi throughout. Outdoor shower with changing area. Garage holds 4 cars. Room for 2 additional cars on driveway.

This house has been earning rave reviews for years. To rent the entire house, search for the separate 12 bedroom listing (set the search filter to 10+ bedrooms and 10+ baths).

If you are the first to rent for your chosen dates, you can choose either the "sunrise" (394) or "sunset" (392) side of the house. 392 & 394 New River Inlet Road. Note that some of the exterior photos are older and do not show a house recently built on the lot to the north. That new house is set back, so the views remain unobstructed.

My communications policy: I will email you the door access code and instructions for using it three days before your rental begins. I will respond promptly (usually within the hour) during your stay to address any questions, including problems with amenities, safety concerns, and other concerns about your stay. You will also receive a document after you book with detailed information about your stay.

Contact me for event fees such as hosting a wedding. I also make occasional exceptions to allow well-behaved pets for an added cleaning fee. Ask me for more information.

Awesome family each weekend

This property was perfect for our family mini-reunion, with direct, private beach access, plenty of space for games inside and out, close to restaurants and shops (yes, driving but not far), and with a great layout for all of us. To top it off, our host was responsive and helpful both before we arrived and while we were there. Highly recommend!

Amazing views!!!

The location of the house was perfect. The house was great. We had a slight issue with the thermostat on the lower level, but the owner immediately got it resolved. The kitchen and living area were absolutely beautiful. The amount of space in the house is fantastic for a group of 8 women. We enjoyed our stay and we would recommend this house.

Very nicely appointed property.Pro's Excellent views Well equipped kitchen with modern appliances Spacious bedrooms, living & breakfast area Dumb waiter, no need to haul suitcases, provisions up several flights of stairs Very responsive & great communication with owner Plenty of car parking spacesCon's- There were very few wash / dish drying cloths and those that were there weren't clean (many stains)- Stains on living room furniture(Both the above cons, in or opinion, were nothing to do with the property or owner and was because of cleaning company performance. Considering the price of cleaning this really isn't good enough).

Had good, relaxing stay.

The house and location were great. Clean. Owner was very responsive when we had questions. We simply had no problems and all of us were quite content to just hang out there rather than leaving to do or see other things. They also had a lot of games and puzzles

Wonderful Place

In all the vacation homes we've rented throughout the years, this is, by far, the best! David is a wonderful host, very responsive to any questions or concerns. Checking in, the house was very clean. The kitchen is the most well equipped kitchen we've ever found in a vacation home. We do 100% of our cooking at the home while vacationing, and being a large family, there are items we regularly pack, as most homes are lacking. At this house, there are large pots, LOTS of eating utensils, plenty of measuring spoons and cups, mixing bowls, pans (even cast iron). And sharp knives! Electric mixer, good blender, great coffee maker, etc. Any kitchen item that we use regularly was provided. We were able to pack away a lot of items we brought from home (pots, knives, etc). I had read in the description that beach towels were provided, but we still packed a very large bag of towels. But that was also an item that was put back in the truck. There is a large cupboard full of beach towels!! And not cheap, flimsy towels! This is a very spacious house, plenty of beds, bathrooms, large couches, and a large dining table for all our evenings of games. We appreciated the lamps throughout the house, and the gas fireplace, which provided cozy evenings when the weather was cooler and rainy. Our first week, we had family in both sides, and loved the door on the deck connecting the two sides. We all agree that we have found a new home away from home on Topsail Island. Thank you, David!

A Magical Experience

This property was very well appointed. No need to bring anything except your favorite soap and shampoo. We had a party of about 17 and rented both sides of the house. The kitchens were so large and had everything you needed to cook any meal. The dumbwaiter was an added bonus, since we put together a wedding cake and had to transpire it. Perfectly fit in the dumbwaiter so we didn't have to carry it down the stairs. We made memories we will never forget! The owner was MORE than accommodating to our last minute needs. So many comments from my family about how wonderful each room was. Great sized rooms, beautiful rooms, most with ensuite. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! This wedding event was perfect, in great part, because all of my guests were comfortable. Highly recommend this home and this owner!!

Thanksgiving trip

The house was perfect for our group! Large enough for all of us to stay plus room for 3 others to join us for the Thanksgiving meal. Large kitchen to cook said meal in. We loved being right on the beach. Perfect house to spend time at our Happy place of Topsail Island.

Spring Get Away

This home was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were very generous and all with great views, The furnishings were very nice too and easily accommodating to toddlers. Beds were very good too. Kitchen was superb with anything you could possibly need to feed a hungry crowd, The views off the front deck were spellbinding and when we weren't on the beach, we were sitting on the deck watching the waves roll in. David couldn't have been more accommodating and was a pleasure to work with. We hope to return for a future trip.

Wonderful location and amenities

We will certainly make use of this property again if we return to Topsail. The location is hard to beat and the house layout worked well for our group. We let all of the kids sleep on the 1st floor, and adults slept on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The outdoor shower did have warm water which was wonderful, and the house had lots of beach toys, chairs, towels, etc. If we come again, we will bring some extra pillows and some of our bedding to increase the bed comfort. The included bedding was a bit rough and uncomfortable. But that wouldn't stop us from renting again, just an extra thing we would pack for the next trip.

Beautiful house with everything you needed.

We appreciated the nice, clean house. The log fireplace were such a plus to our stay. Our only complaint was that it got too cold at night. The thermostat setting was down to 63 degrees in the mornings...too cold to even been in the shower. The toilet seats were so cold to sit on. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent this house again. David was great to work with...always got back to us in a timely manner when we had a question.

Great location wonderful owner

The house was in a perfect location for easy In-N-Out access. It was very comfortable the views for magnificent. We saw dozens of dolphin while we were there.. The house does need a bit of updating.

Beautiful place

The property was beautiful. There were some issues with the lighting. The gas fireplace had a leak so we didn’t get to use it. It was pretty clean, but the carpets were dirty. We needed more blankets. It gets cold in November. Overall a good stay.

Small wedding vacation

I bought this house in June 2021 after my girlfriend, Kim, introduced me to Topsail Island. With my third visit to this beautiful area I was hooked on the idea of buying a place I could rent out and enjoy for ourselves with our grown children. The previous owners were great to work with on making the transition. I've kept a lot of their ideas in place, including free linens and a number of helpful amenities. I'm enjoying this new adventure and pride myself on being responsive to my renters.

I was originally looking for a single family house when this one became available. I like the idea of being able to rent out the whole house (12 bedrooms) or rent half and be able to stay on the other side. The layout is great for renting half the house or the entire house. The balconies and decks were well designed for allowing great ocean views from all over the house.
