Clean and spacious home that had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool and watching the fish in the canal. Communication was excellent with the host. Issues with the AC and the hot water heater were addressed immediately. We would recommend updating the pool tile as it is in poor shape and putting better shower heads in the showers.

Great place for home base to explore all the keys have to offer! The bikes were a bit rusty. But my teenagers were able to use them just fine! The pool was refreshing, the upstairs porch was my favorite place to drink my morning coffee!

There were a couple cosmetic surprises around the pool but it was due to unforeseen issues that had to be dealt with but it did not affect the use of the pool or decking. Melissa and Time were quick to respond and resolve our questions.

Great family vacation!

Located in a nice neighborhood. The pool and hot tub were a big hit for us. The pool is missing a few tiles but works amazingly. The hot tub is spectacular. The house is as advertised, however, could use a bit of TLC and a deep clean on the fans, vents, and doors. The host is AMAZING. Overall we enjoy our stay just wish it had been warmer temps.

We were in the perfect spot on the water and in relation to town. The management was very responsive and helpful. The house had everything we needed. The Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and I enjoyed cooking there. We loved the back yard and spent a lot of time there when we were not on our boat we kept parked right beside the back deck. We had the full experience and we loved it.

Definately would rent again

Total experience was awesome. Plenty of room. Everything was provided, even towels and a crock pot. Nice to start our experience with a pitcher of cool lemon and lime water. Pool is a little small but kids had a great time in it. Loved having a code to enter the house so that everyone did not need a key. Michelle was very attentive and easy to reach for questions or concerns. Michelle thank you so much for all your efforts in making our stay so great.

Lovely home in quiet location

We arrived a day later than expected after some unanticipated problems with the airlines. We were more than ready to relax and were grateful to find the home in perfect order. The attention to detail and the little niceties showed to us that a caring person had prepared the home. The furnishings were comfortable. It was lovely to start and end our days sitting in the nicely furnished screened balcony area. The swimming pool here was a great addition to our stay. This was our fourth time to visit the area, having stayed in a different home each time. This home was the best yet. We eat most of our meals out and found that the area restaurants were in perfect order. The area has mostly recovered from the major hurricane of just 6 months ago. Most places are back in business. We definitely recommend this area.

We are so happy you had a wonderful time down her in the gorgeous Island area! That was quite the journey it took to get down here with the flights and so happy to see you were able to enjoy yourselves in our home. We have done amazing things with our recovery on our islands and very thankful with guests like you who came down and were out and about during the day visiting the areas and providing your adventures with us. We look forward to hosting you again some day and thank you for your kind words in our review.

Fantastic!!!!!

Wow, this property was awesome. The home is very spacious. Michelle was great to work with, she is very attentive and really good at her job. The touches upon entering the house were just great. Books on the bed, music on in house, fresh orange infused water, new pool floats by the pool and soap in loofahs in all of the bathrooms. The house has everything you would need for vacation. There are plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, movies and pool toys. The downstairs is great for hanging out and watching movies, the fire pit was awesome and the pool was just fantastic. We used the kayak in the canal and out to the ocean which was really nice. If your looking to rent a property in the keys with lots of space and great amenities then this is the house for you. We will definitely be returning.

Awe Holly! You are so thoughtful in your review of our home, we like it! This home is certainly perfect for families who like to spread out a little bit, isn't it? The fun and giggling from everyone tells us you all had a great time while here. We try to make your stay a little more special and of course spoiled if we can. Glad to see the books were enjoyed and looking forward to hosting you all again.

Dirty and broken

The location of the property is great. The number of beds and baths was good. The problem we had was every other thing we touched, sat in, used was dirty or broken. Day one my boyfriend and I went to kayak. All the kayaks are in some form of disrepair. We pieced a few together to have back and seats that functioned. Then my boyfriend went to use the ladder to the channel and it came off the deck with him on it. We sent a message to the property manager and it got fixed the next day but he could have been hurt with this broken ladder. The dishwasher and washing machine had issues. The washer crept into the middle of the floor with every load. The dishwasher got half the dishes clean. The dryer also took longer and longer to dry as the week went on. Mattresses and pillows had numerous stains when we went to remove sheets, pillowcases for washing our final morning. Simple things like mattress pads would alleviate this issue. This house seemed a bit dirty as a whole. If they are paying a cleaning service I would hire a new one. The dishes and silverware all had to be rewashed before using them. The dining room table top is not secure. That moved on us several times. The chairs are very old, and in stayes of disrepair. We told the property manager about this also but they were not addressed during our stay as promised. There are several grills but we had issues getting them started. Only one worked for us which was enough but why have 3-4 grills that may or may not work on the deck? There was a hole in the deck that could be a problem if you were not paying attention to where you were walking. The home was very cluttered. There were numerous items that seemed to be broken and just left around. Why not throw the stuff away? We had a nice stay. We made this a nice vacation. Would I stay at this property again, probably not. The Marathon area is beautiful and we would absolutely visit the keys again. We would just stay at a different property and read more reviews before choosing. The pride in ownership is lacking with this property.

My first question is why wasn't I told about things not working properly during this stay instead of being told everything is great the numerous times this guest was asked? We have checked the washer, dryer and dishwasher and made adjustments as needed. This guest was told about the 1 grill that had to be moved that wasn't working. Unfortunately that isn't something I can do alone. All of the other grills work perfectly fine. We have the hole in the deck area covered. This guest took it upon themselves to remove the covering. Not sure what clutter/broken items you are talking about, we provide a lot of unique items to give our guests a better experience. We are glad to hear you enjoyed Marathon and all of it's beauty.

Perfect House For Our Large Group

Our group consisted of my husband and I, my sister and her husband, their two boys and spouses, a toddler and a newborn and my best friend! Very large group! The downstairs area consists of two bedrooms across from each other, with a sitting room and TV in between. One of the bedrooms is huge with a chaise lounge for relaxing. All three areas have sliding glass doors that open to the pool and canal area. Also downstairs is the laundry room (most convenient!) the bathroom and a spiral staircase that leads upstairs. The upstairs has a huge open living area with plenty of space for our group. A large master bedroom with sliding glass doors that lead out to a large screened porch, and two additional bedrooms and a third bathroom. There is a dining room, as well as an additional table for seating our large party. The kitchen was fabulous! It was well stocked with everything you could need. My husband and I and our two small dogs stayed downstairs in the larger bedroom and my friend took the other spare. This area is cooled by two window units in each bedroom that kept this area very cool (I would recommend the downstairs if you like it cool). It was convenient for us to take our dogs out without a hassle. The backyard has a pool, several sitting areas and a wonderful dock and cleaning station. My husband also made use of the kayak. It was very convenient to have the boat right there and the public boat ramp was only 3 blocks away to reload the boat (the canal leads to the gulf and then you travel south to enter another canal to the boat ramp area). Upstairs was occupied by the rest of the family. Having the choice of the spiral staircase or coming up the outside steps was very convenient. Michelle was awesome! Always on hand to answer questions and wanting to ensure we had a wonderful time! I am not sure why some people rated this house less than 5 stars. Perhaps they are over picky or expected something different. You have to remember you are in the keys. There is going to be humidity no matter where you stay (they try to correct this downstairs by utilizing damp rid bags which were very effective). Someone complained of a mildew smell. I have asthma and never noticed an odor nor did I have any breathing problems and I am very sensitive to those things. Overall I would highly recommend this house. Any small issues that arose Michelle addressed. We had a fantastic time! PS it would be great if the dining table had the leaf to extend it :)

Awe Rose, your review is so wonderful to read and thank you for your kind words! You were all such wonderful guests and I can see everyone had a wonderful time! Your group certainly brought our home laughter, joy, and lots of pool area time. I like the poker sticks for S'mores myself and many families have enjoyed that fire pit often. Great! But needs Owner Attention.

My family (myself, 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 4 granddaughter) spent 2 weeks here. We really enjoyed it. The owners can easily improve it even more by addressing the few negatives below. Positive: Property manager was very responsive and addressed every question/concern immediately. Best Equipped/supplied rental I've been to (and I've been to a LOT). Kitchen fully updated, very nice. Property was in an excellent location between Key Largo and Key West. Day trips were easy. We're an on-the-go family and were out every day except one (a rest day). State parks are also close. Location in neighborhood was very nice, peaceful. Son-in-law had a blast fishing from the deck in the canal. Teen girls (4 of them 13 to 16) took over the lower level and loved the privacy (so did we!). Loved the ice machine on top deck! Negatives: Owners controlled the upstairs air remotely and had programmed the temp to go up at set intervals. I complained to the property owner as we were getting up several times a night sweating. She conveyed it to the owners. It improved for a few days but was back after that even worse. We'd set the temp at 70 (it definitely didn't reach that temp in the bedrooms, but was much warmer), and start feeling warm 30 minutes later and it'd be back to 76 . Night times were the most frustrating as we'd wake up sweating and have to go turn it down again. Note: The lower level was window air and as long as the girls kept the blinds drawn, it was very nice downstairs. General Complaint: A washing machine that I tried to use then realized it wasn't plugged in and wouldn't work when I plugged it in. There was also a working washer/dryer. There was a TV on the upstairs deck and a TV above the pool under the deck. We were happy about movie night by the pool. But neither TV worked. They were not advertised. Get rid of non-working appliances. The 3rd bedroom upstairs: * It was hot. The Property Manager supplied a fan and it helped, but it was noticeably warmer than the other bedrooms. * The bed frame in the bedroom broke 2 times. I do have pictures of the original as well as the repairs. It had obviously broken multiple times before as it had old "McGiver-type" repairs with pieces of wood bracing it, etc. * The mattress was old, very old. It was the type with the bare springs covered with material. They don't even make that type anymore. It was horribly uncomfortable. * The entire bed/bedframe needs to be replaced.

Our group of 12 enjoyed our stay

We had a nice time. Kathy Kee, property manager was always available. The house had everything we needed and more.

Great location and plenty of room

Enjoyed our stay, new updated interior light fixtures. Property manager is very friendly and helpful, responded immediately to our concerns. Inventory of kitchen accessories should be made, looks like lots of duplicates and unusable parts and pieces. Property could use maintenance. Pool Deck is unfinished and to hot to stand on you must wear shoes. Lighting on dock did not work, outside lighting for bottom level did not work. Severe cracking on support for upper patio. Only one of 3 grills worked. No remote for master bedroom. Front window upstairs has been leaking for a while and will at some point create a hazard as it is rotting out. All in all we had a wonderful time and able to compensate for any issues we had. With a little maintenance this could be a dream home.
