Private, quiet and clean oceanfront property with beautiful sweeping views of Taunton Bay. 20 minutes to Acadia National Park Schoodic Peninsula and Bar Harbor. Recently renovated 2 bed, 1 1/2 bath single family home with new paint and hardwood floors throughout. Sleeps 4. New pull out sofa in living room. New furnishings with quality linens provided. A security floodlight is installed on the top left corner of the building outside facing the far end of the driveway.

Our stay was amazing, the property was so clean and relaxing. The view from the backyard was beautiful and we loved the beach and viewing wildlife from the yard. The house had everything we needed and was close to many attractions. Highly recommend!

Our stay at this cottage exceeded our expectations! The view of the water is like something out of a magazine. Our hosts were courteous and responsive to all of our needs, especially helping us with a situation where we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house! We would recommend this to anyone!

We loved the location and all that the hosts provided to make our stay comfortable and fun.
The back”yard” in all its splendor

I love Sea Rose Cottage! I've been twice with my husband and this time brought an old friend to experience my favorite place in Maine. The location is perfect, away from people and noise. Close to general stores and everything else is within easy driving distance in Ellsworth. I love the quick ride to Schoodic. I love the smash burgers at Ironbound restaurant. I spend all day reading and watching the view of the tides changing. Very comportable beds, sheets and pillows. My happy place. Thank you Bonnie

Host was very responsive and friendly. Cottage is very clean, bright, welcoming and well stocked. The beds, including sofa bed are quite comfortable. AC unit in main living area kept up well with temperatures in the 80s for the whole cottage. The outdoor space is amazing--deck, grill, fire pit, yard, and best of all the rocky ocean front with dramatic tides (11-12 feet!). The location is very private, relaxing and quiet. The cottage was our base for many days at Acadia and the drive to Acadia is easy (30-45 min depending where in the park). Very near the cottage is the Tidal Falls Preserve--very fun, we saw starfish, crabs, clams and of course the tidal falls. Many tasty nearby restaurants in Sullivan, Hancock and Ellsworth. Wifi is fast. We definitely will be repeat visitors when returning to Maine!

Lovely Cottage with Amazing Views

This place is so peaceful. We loved our week here. The sunsets and mornings on the deck were wonderful. Loved the games we could play. Had a well stocked kitchen and super comfy beds. We loved the secluded location.

Easy access washer/ dryer. Everything was very clean well organized and comfortable. Kitchen was set up nicely. We found everything we needed for cooking….Dining area looked out on the water and a nice porch with a table and a picnic table for outside meals or morning coffee…. Moon sets sunsets very Pleasant. Plenty of birds to see! Easy access to many areas.

Honeymoon Getaway

This house was perfect, private and a relaxing place to wind down after exploring the area. Dinners in or a short drive to the local restaurants. Sunrise with a cup of coffee or a cocktail at sunset on the back deck was amazing. The board games were a blast to end a long day. The beds and pillows were heavenly.

perfect peaceful get away

we had a wonderful stay. Property owner was prompt to my answer my questions. If you are looking to spend time near Acadia nation park but want an area that is not crowded this is the perfect place. clean and comfortable. we spent a lot of time kayaking in the bay it was beautiful :)

Celebrating Life at a Lovely Place

Quiet retreat

The cabin was just as pictured, everything was well stocked and the decor and furniture was very comfortable. We immediately felt like we were home. We stayed 5 nights. It was such a wonderful time! The loons were on the bay every night. It was so peaceful to sit out back and enjoy the view!

Perfect place to relax

This cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is quiet and has a beautiful view to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. A well appointed kitchen to cook breakfast or even a lobster dinner. The cottage is a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It’s also a relaxing place to enjoy the evening and a great backyard complete with fire pit and bay view.

Small and sweet!

Great time in the very cute house on the hill! Beautiful views and everything we needed! We used as our base camp for Acadia National and the additional drive time to be away from the maddening crowd was worth it. Bonnie was an UBER responsive host and we knew if we needed something she would make it happen (but we didn’t since everything was perfect).

Cozy stay along the bay

Quiet, clean and relaxing. Interesting to watch the tides, loons and herons. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for our group to take advantage of. Each bedroom has its own tv along with a large screen in the dining, living, kitchen area. Gravel access road took a little getting used to and the neighbors dog didn't like our car driving by, but small concerns during an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Sorry about the neighbors dog. He’s harmless, but does tend to bark when cars go by. They keep him at their camp for the summer and I didn’t know he was back. Beautiful and Quiet

This place was fantastic! While it was dark and raining when we arrived, which made finding the correct cottage a little challenging, the location was one with epic views. We used this as a base camp for adventures in Acadia National Park. The accommodations were excellent. Having a gas grill as one of the amenities made for a couple of tasty, fast dinners at home so we could enjoy the view of the bay. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Just like home

Exceeded expectations. Greeted warmly by owners. Everything worked perfectly. Once we figured out how the TV controls worked we loved it. All of us are over 80! Comfortable both inside and out. This is it!
