Start you morning with a cup of coffee watching the eagles catch breakfast. Pack a lunch and kayak right out back in the Goldsboro Bay. Or grab a quahog and clam in your own backyard. A short distance away is the stunning coastal beauty of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Several close restaurants nearby as well as the Steuben Country Store. Or grab some local lobster and watch the sunset. Whatever you decide on plan on some amazing relaxation and serenity.

While looking at places to stay fir a few weeks I kept returning to this property. I'm greatful this is the one we choose even though was an hour to bar harbor(still an easy drive) The house was perfect for our family of 5. Next time I'd plan to stay more at the property. So many things to enjoy this property had all our needs. Very welcoming and private. Would definitely stay again!

This was an absolutely amazing stay ! The house was super clean when we arrived and there was everything we would ever need for a long weekend. The house was very easy to communicate with and we had no issues with the property. 10/10 we would stay again!

Do not hesitate…this is the place to book for your next Maine/Acadia/Bar Harbor vacation. The property was beautiful, peaceful and well kept. The home was just like the pictures with all I needed for the stay. It felt like home and I could tell a lot of love went into the space.

Great location, spectacular view! Check in was super easy. Clean. Owner very responsive to a blown fuse (don't use air fryer and microwave at same time..lol). It was fixed within the hour. Quiet, beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the bay. Loved our stay and would do again!

Perfect Acadia region getaway spot. Very happy with the property. Exactly as listed. The panorama views were amazing! Loved how quiet it was out on the property. We had a lot of deer visitors during our stay. Would rent again.

Beautiful, private, ocean view retreat.

The house is a three bedroom gem, stocked with what is needed for a comfortable stay with beautiful views. Stueben is rural, coastal Maine - so some people might not appreciate that. Private transportation is a must; no attractions are walkable. But we enjoyed our visit very much…both for the beauty of nature and for the privacy when at the cottage. And as our base of operations as we took the Winter Harbor ferry to and from Bar Harbor one afternoon. And on another afternoon we drove to nearby Birch Harbor for a fried clam lunch (including a glass of wine) at Bunker Seafood and Spirits. This was our second stay in this cottage, and we enjoyed it as much as the first one.

Great house on the water

The house was very clean and was quiet. It was about an hour outside of bar harbor which was perfect for our family who does not like to stay where it is crowded. The views were awesome and we wnjoued the house a lot. Kitchen was fully stocked. 3 bedrooms were perfect for my family with 2 teenage daughters.

The location was great. Close enough to Bar Harbor to visit but far enough away to avoid large crowds. Exactly what we were looking for. Amenities were great. It is clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful Waterfront

Very clean and peaceful, we loved exploring the low tide. We took my Nephew's senior pictures out there, absolutely beautiful. The house was stocked with everything you would need. I definitely recommend this place and the host was so wonderful!

Beautiful secluded getaway!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Maynard’s Place! It is in a stunning location and the home is very cozy. The kitchen is so well stocked. Very comfortable bed. Good cell service. The WiFi averaged about 8 mbps and was fine for streaming. Friendly hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Country Lake Home

My wife and I stayed here for an Acadia trip and the home was well-kept overall. Host was good with communication when needed. Good place for multiple travelers with two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa! We only had a few minor complaints in that some amenities could be more updated (e.g. old shower, blackout curtains in primary bedroom, better sheets, etc...). But if you look past the little things, this place was a great value and in a beautiful (if remote) area!

If I could give more than 10 stars, then I would. This place is amazing. It is clean and fully stocked with everything you need. The kitchen was stocked (we had to buy perishables of course.) The beds were comfortable. We wanted a very relaxing trip and this was exactly that. The host also included a book with local restaurant suggestions and maps for the National park. The location is gorgeous. You are far enough from everything that you can enjoy nature and see the stars. You won’t hear cars or planes. But you aren’t so far from people that you feel like you might be murdered. You are about an hour away from Acadia but it’s worth it. We spent our mornings watching the lake in our backyard and our evenings star gazing. I had never seen so many stars! We saw the Milky Way. I would 100% recommend this Vrbo.

Secluded Getaway

Around an hour from Bar Harbor/Acadia. This quiet cozy house is perfect for end of the day beautiful sunsets and late night star gazing. Make sure to pick up what you need on the way!

Second Honeymoon

My wife and I enjoyed our second honeymoon at this rental, after 26 years of marriage. We enjoyed the cabin and the wonderful views. The location is very private and has water on three sides. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a private location with excellent views

There's approx. 7 acres of private coastal property, with plenty to explore. There's apple trees, low bush blueberries, raspberries, and black berries too. Wake up in the morning to watch the eagle's hunt for fish in Parrit cove behind the house. Then plan the day either hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or swimming (depending on time of year) right in the backyard.
Nearby is the Schoodic peninsula part of Acadia National Park (Beautiful) that is only approx. 20 min drive from the house.
There's a seasonal ferry that runs from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor maneuvering its way through the abundance of lobster pots. Or drive to Bar Harbor, it's only approx. 45 min or so from the house.
Don't forget to swing by the Fisherman's Co-op to grab some fresh lobster, fish, crab, clams, etc..
Finish up dinner and get cozy by the Fire pit.
The sunsets over the bay in the evening are unique every night. Sit on the back porch and watch for shooting stars.
