Beautiful Waterfront

Very clean and peaceful, we loved exploring the low tide. We took my Nephew's senior pictures out there, absolutely beautiful. The house was stocked with everything you would need. I definitely recommend this place and the host was so wonderful!

Spectacular location at a very nice rental. If it had a few coffee tables in the living room and lamps in the bedrooms it would be perfect, but it was very comfortable!

Beautiful secluded getaway!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Maynard’s Place! It is in a stunning location and the home is very cozy. The kitchen is so well stocked. Very comfortable bed. Good cell service. The WiFi averaged about 8 mbps and was fine for streaming. Friendly hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Stayed here and traveled into Acadia. Remote and quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Worked great for our family of four.

Second Honeymoon

My wife and I enjoyed our second honeymoon at this rental, after 26 years of marriage. We enjoyed the cabin and the wonderful views. The location is very private and has water on three sides. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a private location with excellent views

Secluded Getaway

Around an hour from Bar Harbor/Acadia. This quiet cozy house is perfect for end of the day beautiful sunsets and late night star gazing. Make sure to pick up what you need on the way!

Great vacation house!

The house was perfect for me and my 3 teenage kids. We loved the location and the access to the kayaks and the bay was great. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated all the local recommendations for food and places to visit as well!

Beautiful refreshing retreat

We had a lovely time here. The property surpasses my expectations. My favorite part was watching the eagle’s nest!! Everything was well done; nicely furnished; beds comfortable; house very clean. I loved all the windows! Definitely recommend this property!

Cozy Country Lake Home

My wife and I stayed here for an Acadia trip and the home was well-kept overall. Host was good with communication when needed. Good place for multiple travelers with two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa! We only had a few minor complaints in that some amenities could be more updated (e.g. old shower, blackout curtains in primary bedroom, better sheets, etc...). But if you look past the little things, this place was a great value and in a beautiful (if remote) area!

Great weekend getaway!

My family and I rented the property for a long weekend stay during a cousins wedding. The pictures don’t lie, it’s gorgeous. Kevin was extremely responsive about a number of topics. Only downside was a few geese honking outside our window at 530 am 😂. If that’s the worst thing that happened, I’d gladly rent this property over and over again!

Perfect place to relax and decompress!

We recently stayed at this house for 4 nights and found it to be very comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed and beds were comfortable. The area is very quiet and the view is phenomenal! We enjoyed hanging out on the beach and in the yard. The local restaurants are good and we drove to Machiasport to rent ATVs-so fun and we saw a moose! The owner Kevin is very friendly and responsive. We’d stay here again!

Beautiful and Private Setting

The property was beautiful. We did not use the kayaks due to low tide during the day and being too tired at night from our exploring adventures but it was nice to have the option. Owners were quick to respond with any questions we had leading up to the stay. We loved that they had everything we needed to steam our own lobsters! Would recommend this property to others. It was beautiful!

Waterfront Views

I have been renting cottages for many years in the steuben -milbridge area and this cottage ranks as one of best. Easy access to the bay and having access to kayaks a plus.

My wife is an RN with advanced medical training in wound care and supplies.
Together we make a great team.
I get to handle the remodeling projects, and my talented wife gets to decorate and make everything picturesque.
The kids also love to help.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

There's approx. 7 acres of private coastal property, with plenty to explore. There's apple trees, low bush blueberries, raspberries, and black berries too. Wake up in the morning to watch the eagle's hunt for fish in Parrit cove behind the house. Then plan the day either hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or swimming (depending on time of year) right in the backyard.
Nearby is the Schoodic peninsula part of Acadia National Park (Beautiful) that is only approx. 20 min drive from the house.
There's a seasonal ferry that runs from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor maneuvering its way through the abundance of lobster pots. Or drive to Bar Harbor, it's only approx. 45 min or so from the house.
Don't forget to swing by the Fisherman's Co-op to grab some fresh lobster, fish, crab, clams, etc..
Finish up dinner and get cozy by the Fire pit.
The sunsets over the bay in the evening are unique every night. Sit on the back porch and watch for shooting stars.

Watch the lobster boats set they're gear/traps during the season in the deepwater behind the house.
