Welcome to the Cabbage House! A blend of cabin and cottage :)

Enjoy 100-foot frontage on this all-sports lake with a shared fishing and swimming dock. The sandy beach and shallow water is perfect for kids to build sandcastles and swim. Watch the sunset from the lakeside swing or make smores by the fire pit, wood is available behind the private shed.

The Cabbage House includes a charcoal grill, outdoor table and chairs, Adirondack chairs (feel free to move to watch sunset or sit by the beach), along with a picnic table in the yard. For those rainy days, cozy up with a book from the shelf, play a game or browse movie options on the Smart TV. Bluetooth speaker also provided for pairing phone with music. Pack n Play available on request.

Don't miss these area attractions less than 30 minutes away:
-Cherry Bowl Drive-in Theater (call 231-325-3413 for movie info)
-Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park (lots of hiking and panoramic lake views)
-Downtown Frankfort (great beach, lighthouse, shopping and restaurants)

-Betsie Valley Trailway (beautiful 10 mile bike path from Beulah to Frankfort along Crystal and Betsie Lake)

Great Cabin on the Lake!

It was a really cute cabin near the water, had everything we needed (as a solo couple). It was nicely centrally located so within 20-30 minutes we could get to most of the nice towns in the area with very little fuss.

Up north vacation

We had a great time at this property. It was the perfect size for me and my 2 boys for the week. The cottage was clean and well appointed. The lake was beautiful, and my kids loved playing with the kids staying at the other cottages on the property.

We absolutely loved this adorable cottage. Location was great- close to the National Lakeshore, and shopping. Sunsets on the dock were beautiful. Cottage was comfy, cozy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. Grill outside was an added bonus. Cannot say enough about this little gem.

Our stay here was LOVELY! The host was quick to respond if we had a question and the property/cottage was so cute. The beds were comfortable and bedding was soft. 4 women, so we had a lot of stuff and not much room, but we made it work. Overall, we loved our time here! :)

Wonderful Summer Vacation

We had an amazing time on the lake and in the Sleeping Sand Dunes area. This cabin and the peaceful lake were relaxing and perfect area to swim for our 7 and 9 year old! Beautiful sunsets, plenty in the area to explore! The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Gorgeous view of Lake out of living room window. The cottage was very clean, updated, cozy sleeping spaces and lots of light. The outdoor spaces were fantastic and location was great.

Love sleeping bear dunes area

Nice little cottage on platte lake. It was very clean and well kept. Sit on the porch and listen to the loons calling. The bed was very comfortable. Very nice!

Wonderful cottage

Very cute and comfy and GREAT location. Cozy but well designed to work well for a family of 4. Kitchen has everything we needed, tv and WiFi were great for rainy days, shared dock and beach were perfect. Bathroom is small but worked fine even for my 6’3” hubby. Nice neighbors, very laid back and steps from the water. Definitely hope to stay here again!

Great First Visit to Michigan

This cabin stay was exactly what we needed as we prepared for our first Half IM 70.3 race. The water temperature was great to get some swim training in, as well as some relaxing paddle boarding and kayaking. The host was super easy to contact and very accommodating. We will be back!

Great time

House was very very clean and had some great updates. Our young kids loved the water the bunk beds and interacting with the other kids that share the property. For a smaller cabin it was laid out nicely and worked great for a family of 4.

Quiet Platte Lake

Platte Lake is perfect for kayakers. This cottage is located at the far end of the lake making the paddle to Lake Michigan challenging but not impossible. The property was quiet and neighbors are friendly. The location made it easy to reach the nearby towns and trails.

Nice cabin

Only 2 people can eat at the kitchen island, and the bunk beds are not in a separate room. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the fire pit, star gazing, fall colors and hiking.

Peaceful getaway

The cabin was exactly as I had anticipated. The location was wonderful. The beach was sandy and I particularly enjoyed the wooden swing by the lake. The bathroom/shower were small, but I knew that ahead of time and it worked well. I had to contact the owner about an issue with the cabin and she responded immediately and it was fixed quickly. Overall a pleasant experience.

Wonderful Vacation Week

We had a "girls' trip" here for a week with my mom, aunt, and cousin, and we had an amazing time! The cabin was VERY cozy (as described), but it met all of our needs. It was clean and beautifully furnished inside. The window in the living room looks right on the lake. We really enjoyed the dock, lake, and fire pit just steps away from the cabin. The location is perfect for going to all of our favorite spots in the area, including Beulah and Sleeping Bear Dunes. All of our neighbors were very kind and friendly. We highly recommend it!

Bad mattress

The location is beautiful!! The cramped bathroom is manageable. The full size mattress is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced.

Sleeping Bear Dunes is one of my favorite places in Michigan. The aqua blue water, miles of shoreline, and picturesque sunsets can't be beat! After visiting my friend's property over the years on Platte Lake, I was excited when this little spot came up for sale so that I too could provide a fun and relaxing space for friends and family. I also love to kitesurf and one of the best spots in Michigan is 8 minutes down the road!
