The location of The Dunes was ideal, and our room was very comfortable and clean. The amenities were wonderful and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Dunes again - BUT never again in this particular unit, as it is not at all conducive to restful sleep. What I wish I had known is that the king bedroom doesn’t have black out shades, and there are large windows to the hallway where a bright light is on all night. This bed is also just on the other side of the wall to the door that opens into the lobby. Beginning around 7am it slams pretty much continuously as people go in and out. If I’m able to upload a picture I can show you how close it is…no more than five feet. The room with the queen bed has a wall of windows. This room does have black out shades, but there are large gaps between them so it is still bright as day at dawn. So if you are an early riser this unit is ideal. If you are hoping to sleep in on a holiday weekend you will be sad. During daytime hours we loved it.

Beach condo

The entire condo was clean and up to date. Location was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the dryer would not dry well (most likely due an air vent that needs to be cleaned).

Would love to come back!

We loved our stay at The Dunes! We stayed in unit 107 with our two teens and were very comfortable. The rooms were a little odd in that the best room with the bigger bathroom and view had the smaller bed but my kids sure did love that they got it for the week. I let the front desk know the listing needed to be updated to a full size instead of two twins. She said the beds were new. The master bed has to be a king. It’s a beautiful condo. Everything worked great. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the ocean and everyone getting stuck in the sand was pretty entertaining. If I had to give advice, bring sleeping masks. You have beautiful views but lots of light comes through. Bring a fan. It gets stuffy. And bring basic cooking supplies if you plan on cooking. There are plenty of cooking utensils but no salt, pepper, or basic staples. Some places have these items and this one does not. Not judging, just be prepared. We’d absolutely go back! You cannot beat the location for ease to and from town. The pier and jetty are right outside your door. The beach does get very crowded here but we expected that and adjusted for our needs. The pool being right outside our door was not a problem at all. We experienced no noise from it and I can attest it’s cleaned thoroughly every single morning. Staff was wonderful and make great coffee!
