The Beach Retreat is a cozy beach Villa with Hottub overlooking a private beach.

Relax with the whole family at the Beach Retreat! Enjoy the beautiful Sunrise and Sunsets in the Hot tub overlooking your own private beach. There is plenty to do in the Northern Neck of Virginia! We have Wineries, a Brewery, historical sites, boating, swimming, fires on the beach, bike rides, kayaking, plenty of Summer and Fall Festivals and so many great places to eat on and off the river! The Northern Neck of VA is a hidden gem! Just a 90 minute drive from the DC area. Please do not use the beach area or grass area in front of the open lot to the right of this house. That is private property owned by others.

Great little get away on the Potomac. had a wonderful time and had great sunrise's and sunsets. The house had everything we needed and a great time was had by all!

This house is a hidden treasure in the friendliest area.The private beach and kayaks make for a fun time after exploring fossil island and other local areas. Love that there are no tourist traps and that you can truly relax and unwind.

Friends Weekend

We really enjoyed this property with the hot tub and private beach!! It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We toured the nearby town, General Lee and George Washington s birthplace. We went on hikes and searched for shark teeth!

The great room has an amazing view of the river. The beach is sandy and relaxing. The hot tub refreshing. We made use of the paddle boards and bicycles. A great getaway.

Rivah trip!

This was a short getaway to the river for some R & R. Very nice location with wonderful view. We enjoyed the deck by the water and the spacious family room. Perfect for our little dogs too! Hope to return at some point!

Fabulous family get away

Can’t say enough about our time here. Lovely little home just right for the family. The perfect amount of activities with the small private beach, paddle boards, kayaks, hot tub and nightly bonfires. Kids loved the community tennis courts and super nice pool. Just what we were looking for.

River front vacation

My husband & our 2 english bulldogs spent an EXTREMELY relaxing week in this beautiful house right on the river! The surrounding location is the best of both worlds. Woods and beach areas. The owner was prompt with answering any questions we had.would definitely stay again!

Perfect little getaway!

House was lovely and cozy. Views were amazing! House exactly as described and pictured. Great state park 30mins away with lots of trails and fossil beach! Will definitely be back.

Beautiful retreat!

What a beautiful location! We could have sat in the backyard all day long! Paddle boarding , kayaking and relaxing on the beach was pretty much how we spent our week. The neighbors were super friendly too. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, this is the place !

Peaceful Location, Relaxing, Beautiful

The place had was great, hot tub overlooking private beach on the Potomac. Kitchen had nearly everything you could need. Very responsive host. There is spotty cell service at the house, but the WiFi helps. If I was going to add anything to this rental, it would definitely be a full-length mirror.

Our family had the BEST time at this beach house! Such a relaxing and enjoyable view. We just returned home, and I miss the tranquility already. Great communication with host and property was exactly as described. Clean, cozy and everything you could need and then some!

Had a great time. Loved the family room for movie watching and playing games. The view from the deck was breathtaking. Will definitely be looking to rent again.

Pros: the location with private beach is absolutely beautiful and, if the weather had been better, would have been perfect (especially for little ones); also, the property manager/owner was very responsive when we needed help with something. Cons: unfortunately, the house was not as clean as we’d hoped (may have been due to the fact that we booked late in the season, perhaps there had not been guests for awhile); also, the twin beds were not comfortable to sleep on (mattresses very, very old and the headboard/frame felt less than stable). Overall, we loved the beautiful location on the river and did appreciate the host’s responsiveness though. A note for future guests: be sure to bring groceries, as the nearest restaurants are approx. 20mins away.

Amazing views and great location

My wife and I plus our 2 dogs stayed for an extended weekend. The house is wonderful and well stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. The beds are so comfortable and I cannot say enough about the back room - windows all around with spectacular views plus your own private beach. The fence is short but kept our dogs from straying and they played hard and slept well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

The View Is Breathtaking!

I booked this vacation based on the photos of the hot tub and backyard view and we were not disappointed! The house is clean and cozy and we all had our favorite spots to really relax. There is not much to do in the area and only a few places to eat close by, but we came well equipped with food and did get out a few days to check out Colonial Beach and Coles Point. You have to check out Picking and Grinning on Kings Highway. It’s a quirky antique oddities store with amazing stuff. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great Weekend Away from DC

The location is quiet but for the lapping of the waves on the private beach. The beach was perfect for sandcastles and playing in the water with my 4 year old. The weather one day was too cool for lounging in the sun, but we wrapped in a quit, made a fire, and listened to the water. Close enough to wineries and a few small towns with restaurants. I'd recommend coming stocked to maximize time enjoying the house. The house was well-stocked with games and things to do in the mild weather.

Great Waterfront house

This house had every thing we needed. We’ve never stayed in a place that provided all the soap, etc.! The kitchen had everything we needed including sharp knives. The coffee setup was also very appreciated. The location was beautiful, and the birdwatchers had a grand time. The only downside was there was no recycling opportunity nearby.

Perfect long weekend, close to DC

We will be back to this property! Things you want to know: strong water pressure, the beach is actually private, the hot tub is amazing, the views will not disappoint! Check the pollen count if you have allergies, it’s definitely the perfect mix of beach and forest. The neighborhood is very diverse, we felt really safe. Dogs were all leashed on our long walks and the people in the neighborhood were super friendly. We loved everything about it. The kitchen is well stocked, but bring your own oil, condiments, and tin foil. I loved this place, thanks so much Fred!!
