Just spent Labor Day weekend here with my family and the experience was amazing. This cozy cabin accommodated all of us from the adults to the children with fun family board games and puzzles to outdoor family areas where we were able to make a bonfire, cook smores and have a nice family Sunday dinner with the outdoor grill and patio. If you’re looking for a beautiful home to relax and be able to bond with your loved ones yet still be near nice restaurants, stores, beaches or trails, this cabin is a perfect choice. Thank you so much to our kind hosts for welcoming us into your beautiful home :)

Location was exactly where we expected it to be and convenient for what we were doing for our stay. Lots of items available in the rental which was nice. When we arrived an hour after the listed check-in time of 3pm, the host was still there cleaning. They were friendly but the timing was off. Upon checking the property, the trash from the previous guests was not taken out. The first morning at the property, when making coffee, the coffee pot still had the coffee ground from the previous guests stay, and the one of the coffee mugs hanging for use was still dirty. All the complaints we had we could handle on our own, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. But with the price of the stay with a cleaning fee, it would have been nice to have felt it was already taken care of upon checking in. WiFi was also down the whole time until the last night of our 3 night stay, which was out of their control since it was an issue with the internet provider.

Private beach

Overall nice time off, however we had the impression that the house it self was far away from neighbors and the space on the back was huge for our family to enjoy nature that was the main reason why we choose it and this was based on the pictures online. Owner is very nice and cooperative with us.

Older Property

Older property and needs some work. Was not cleaned properly, outside cushions had rotted, food in fridge was not cleared out. Good location near Sunnyside but on Tahoe Blvd.

The refidgerator was recleaned and professional deep cleaning has been done. Decks were painted and lots of flowers in pots outside. Cushion covers have been washed on outside couch. They are not rotten. The property is in good condition and no other guests have had complaints.

Birthday Getaway

The cabin served our purpose, kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals and everyone fit without any problems. Host was very quick to respond to all our questions. The best part was the private beach access! It was absolutely awesome, playground, picnic tables, volleyball court, the area looks like a well manicured park. We had so much fun here! The memories will last a lifetime! Thank you for everything. We would stay here again.

Our stay was okay overall—not the best, but not the worst. The house itself could definitely use some updates. The hot water ran out very quickly, which made showers a bit inconvenient. The bedsheets had an odor, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. With a few improvements, this place could be much more enjoyable. There was still some food and Condiments in the fridge. The house is also on the main road. The host wasn't as responsive as ive expected but very respectful.

Great for a short stay!

Our stay was very pleasant. The kitchen has alot of things that can be of great use if needed! Lucky for us we bring everything all the time. Some things where dusty but it's not a big problem is you are not too picky like us. The locations is great! About a minute (in car) away from the private beach in the lake (it is NOT behind the cabin). The neighbors (which are permanent residents here) were very nice, absolutely no problems with them at all. Just be sure to not block the drive way when you park in front. There is a huge market store about 5 mins away and they have a variety of everything you may need. The rooms can accommodate 3 people per room! And the best of all part is that this cabin is PET friendly!!!❤️ the main reason why we booked here as it can be hard to find pet friendly places. This is a great choice if you want a nice cabin to rest after a long day of exploring the beauties of lake Tahoe. It can get a little chilly at night though! Be sure to bring cozy clothing :) I highly recommend this cabin! You will not regret it!

This was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this property. The house was in unacceptable condition upon arrival. It was extremely dirty: the bathrooms had not been cleaned, the refrigerator was filthy, the sheets and towels smelled stale, and the whole place had a strong, unpleasant odor. All the plates and cups were chipped and greasy, and we had to wash them again before use. The bunk bed squeaked and rattled with the slightest movement, and one bedroom faces the main boulevard, making it very noisy and difficult to sleep, though the pictures don’t show the property’s location on this busy street. The owner was leaving the property when we arrived, showing no cleaning had been done beforehand. She appeared to be moving from the main house into the backyard house, emptying the refrigerator and carrying items over, so she was present throughout our stay. This was never disclosed and created an awkward atmosphere.I am also extremely disappointed with VRBO. I contacted them rather than addressing the host directly, as she lived on-site and I wanted to avoid confrontation. Nothing was done, and the host never offered to clean or provide a solution. The only positives are space for up to 12 people (if couples share beds) and that our 3 well-behaved dogs were welcomed, and check-in and check-out were easy. The private beach is not close, you must cross a busy boulevard, walk several streets, and only then reach it, though it is beautiful once there.

The carpets were vacuumed, the floors were mopped, the bathrooms were cleaned and the fridge was emptied there was one mark that could not be removed on the fridge on the back shelf All the sheets and towels were freshly laundered. I did disclose to the guest that I would be staying in the back cabin in her check in instructions. The property address is west lake Blvd and it is a busy street. The private beach is 1 1/2 blocks away you cross west lake turn left at the driveway across the street and then turn right in sequoia and the beach is at the end of the street There wasnt an unpleasant odor and the guest never communicated with me about needing anything. I would have gladly had the cleaners return to attend to the minor items she mentioned Hair on the sink (this was not the case when I left the property that day) shampoo drop on the shower wall and recleaning the shower glass in the upstairs bath Since the guest left caulking was done on the tub in the downstairs bath The guest was unreasonable to ask for a refund for her stay even though she stayed there two nights and vrbo declined her request

Prior to arriving communication was great. Upon arriving the host was at the site. She had been smoking out back and left her cigarettes. We asked if the code to enter changes from each guest, we were told the code stays the same for everyone. That was very unsettling. The cabin looked like it was lived in. It had food in the refrigerator and pantry. Some clothing items hung up in the closets. Dog hair was all over blankets that were available and stored on the floor. The biggest problem I had was the host came into our cabin to wash sheets from another cabin next door. My husband walked in to laundry being done. She did message us asking to do laundry but I didn’t get it and she entered without permission. Our dogs were in the house when she went in. All in all I would not recommend this cabin to stay in. It is not what is presented on vrbo’s website.

Perfect for a trip to Tahoe

The Cabin is well maintained and the bedrooms are all good size. It has all the essentials for cooking except for an outdoor grill (probably for fire reasons). With a 2 or 3 minute walk you can go to the private beach that has clean restrooms, a volleyball court, two docks, and plenty of seating. The Cabin is on the Highway, but considering that the speed limit is 35 it’s not really an issue. Parking is a little tight, so it’s pretty difficult to get three cars in there. Lastly there is a property in the back that has permanent tenants. While we did see them, they were very nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for any family gatherings or group trips.
