Cute cabin located in the Houghton Lake area.

Good old camping at your fingertips! Nothing fancy. Just a clean and comfortable place for you to stay. But definitely an upgrade from tent camping or even a regular rustic cabin. If you would like to take a breather from daily stressors or plan a technology break, then this is the place for you. From bonfires and smores to kayaking and biking or just a relaxing day at the beach. This cabin is not waterfront but only half mile away from the nearest lake access. Close to trails, boat launches and town center. Popular destinations like Traverse City or Torch Lake is not too far away either if you just plan to take a day trip. Houghton Lake is not only a quaint little town that gives you that up north feeling but it also offers the convenience of having stores and restaurants when you need them. Friends and families will surely have a blast. So relax, enjoy and make memories! Life is better at the lake!

The house was neat and tidy, with a large yard. Very convenient to stores and restaurants. Downside: large black ants in the kitchen and sheer curtains on all of the windows. No privacy.

This is a nice quiet place to stay (with a large yard!) in a neighborhood close to all that Houghton Lake has to offer. Host was very accommodating with excellent, responsive communication with a toilet issue that we had. The house was clean and organized on arrival and check in was extremely easy.

Hi Tom. Thank you so much for your kind consideration. You were my second guest for this year and I found out who the culprit is for the toilet issue. My first guest flushed down a bottle of deodorant down the toilet. My plumber was able to fish it out. I guess the toilet was still working coz I didnt get any complaints from them until it finally get real stuck somewhere down the line then you guys checked in. I closed my cabin for the winter and nobody stays there the whole time. I check everything after dewinterizing. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Clean and comfortable

We’re a family of five and this was a perfect stay for us. Comfortable, clean, nothing fancy, just what we needed with no frills. The yard is beautiful and I love that it’s all fenced in. Made me feel very safe that my little ones could play outside with minimal supervision. Would definitely stay here again.
