NYE in Heber
This was our second year spending NYE weekend in Heber Overgard. This was our first time at this location. Our first host was amazing. Provided check in details, offered stores and sights to see near by we highly recommend trying a slice of pie or a cinnamon bun at Pandrosas Bakery! It is now a must stop with our visits to Heber. This host did not provide check in details in a timely manner. We had to reach out to the host before we took a 3 hour drive in and out of service with our kids for the check in details. However the house was clean, spacious and had a big yard for the kids to run and play. It had a washer and dryer which was very nice as the snow melts into your clothes if you do not have proper snow clothes. The kitchen had the basics. There weren't really good cooking pans and utensils but luckily will had brought our own to use. The back game room with the added on bedroom with bunk beds has no air ventilation so it gets no heat, which we needed during the snow season. There was a small portable room heater but it did not keep the whole back area warm. We ended up going to Family dollar up the road and purchasing a larger portable room heater so the kids could be comfortable as it was 9° waking up Sunday morning. The power down the whole block did turn off for two hours before turning back on and warming up the house. It did snow and the kids loved playing in the snow in the yard. I would recommend the owner buying heavy-duty entry rugs to stomp and take off snow boots, a coat rack or hooks and better pots and pans and cooking utensils. Over all we definitely enjoyed our stay!
