2026 UPDATE: We are in the middle of a full kitchen remodel, updated pictures to come! Will be beautiful and more functional for our guests this season.

Unwind with your friends and family at the beautiful Big Kidd Cabin. The perfect rustic cabin with all the desired amenities. Located in the heart of snowmobile country. Featuring an open floor plan, (3) cozy bedrooms, full kitchen, bath and indoor/outdoor bar.
The Outdoor bar is our favorite spot in the cabin. Use it all hours of the night, and enjoy coffee and breakfast the next morning while gazing onto the peaceful lake. We are located on the "neck" of the lake, so it is very peaceful. You are likely to see families of geese, swans, and loons on the lake.
(2) smart TV's, Highspeed WI-FI, JBL Party Speaker, gas grill, Fire Pit, bean bag boards, toys, bounce house and sand beach for the kids! Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need: Airfryer, Keurig, Coffee Pot, toaster and blender.
Bathroom has towels, shampoo/ conditioner/soap and blow-dryer. As well as extra linens for beds and airmatress if needed.
We have a large dock, so you can enjoy endless hours of catching bluegill, large mouth bass, and northern.
Available Free to use: (2) adult kayaks, (2) child kayaks, and a metal john boat w/trolling motor.
Being on Highway 13 gives you endless trails for riding ATVs and bikes. Munising is a 30 minute drive north, and Manistique is 20 minutes East. At this cabin you are right in the middle of it all.

We will also allow a camper to be parked on the property for an additional fee, just message ahead of time!

NOTES:
-The one bathroom in the cabin is a "pass thru" bathroom and to access it, you need to walk through a bedroom. Also there is no air conditioning or washer dryer. Multiple box fans are in each closet which provide ample cooling in the heat of summer.
-There are two surveillance cameras: one on the corner of the garage facing the front door entrance and another at back of property facing our pontoon boat for security.

Great up north cabin, has a nice beach but the lake is kinda mucky near the house, but found nice sandy spot at one of the public campsites nearby, great proximity to trails for riding and great property for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors

Great little cabin. My kids loved going out in the kayaks. It was nice to have internet that worked so well.. especially since our cell service was sparse in that region. The little kids also loved all of the toys to play with.The lake was peaceful. Beautiful area.

Peaceful and private

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin! The cabin had everything needed for a nice fish fry and a good cold drink! We needed a restful break and we got it here. Our sweet "fish dog" Carly Simon enjoyed the lake! Thank you!

Great location, wonderful time!

Michigan family vacation

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. The backyard area with the bar was the perfect spot to hang out as a family and enjoy the lake. I would recommend this place to families w children of all ages.

Great lakehouse!

My family loved our stay at the Kidd Lakehouse! There was lots of activities for the kids and for adults. Communication was really good with any questions we had. We would definitely book again!

UP base camp

My family loved staying at this cabin while we explored parts of the U.P. The cabin was very clean and very kid friendly. So peaceful and quiet! We would definitely recommend this cabin, especially if you have children.

Very clean and spacious

We used as a home base for a place to sleep. It was clean and plenty of room to relax at night. Quiet area. Easy check-in and communication with owners.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time and the hosts were great. I forgot to retain the passcode info for check in and then had no wifi/connection to look up the info so we had to drive up the road a ways until we had cell service (this was totally my fault) so friendly reminder to remember to get the information so this doesn't happen to you! Thanks for the great visit to the UP!

Thank you for the feedback! and yes, you have wifi as soon as you get into the cabin but need the door code to get in. Absolutely something I would do too. Good idea we should post the wifi password on the front door for instances like this.

Charming Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, charming cabin. Great place to relax and unwind.. We enjoyed fishing, having bonfires and listening to all the sounds of nature at night. We will recommend to friends and family and would stay here again. Good for the soul ❤. Thank you for sharing.

Relaxing lake getaway

The place is on a beautiful part of Gooseneck lake, we enjoyed a WFH vacation outside at the bar, watching nature. The pellet grill/smoker and boats usage was a huge plus for us. Just keep in mind that the only bathroom can be accessed only from one of the bedrooms and there’s a pass through between two rooms. It’s definitely a cabin for people who like each other. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place!

I went here with my boyfriend and two other couples. There’s 3 bedrooms so it slept the 6 of us perfectly. We loved the bonfire and indoor/outdoor bar area. The boys loved fishing on the lake there. There’s no phone service which is to be expected for that area, but the wifi was good and we had no issues using our phones at the cabin. Pictured rocks is only about 45 minutes away. Perfect little getaway!

Great getaway

We really enjoyed your little cozy home. Although the weather did not co-operate, we made the best of it by playing games inside and sitting by the fire to stay warm. We took a trip to Big Springs. This was the first time my daughter (22) and friends daughter (11) has been there. We enjoyed going out on the boat but could not find the paddle pontoon that you advertised. I emailed you but you did not respond. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we might try another trip when the weather is warmer.

Hi Nisa! So sorry, I never received a email, but did message you through the VRBO app. Glad everything went well. Our Pedal Pontoon went rouge and floated down the lake, ha... We ended up having to go find it with the big boat and tow it back. Sorry for that!

Great quiet getaway

Wonderful little house on a quiet lake in the middle of the UP. Everything with the property is as advertised and the host is great with communication. We couldn't get cellular signal in this very secluded location, but the Wi-Fi works great … and maybe having no cell signal was a blessing to help enjoy the peace and quiet this place affords. Highly recommend and much appreciated!

We loved this cabin for the charm, not a big upkeep, nice and cozy. I didn't want a giant lodge to have to clean and upkeep nonstop... Also located on HWY 13 with all the local trails to ride and a beautiful lake. We spend little time indoors while here, the lake and trails are where we always are.

The custom Outdoor/Indoor Bar is a crowd pleaser! We have enjoyed too many cold ones here, and they kids love to eat breakfast there every morning.
