The place was super nice and cute. But it did have some flaws. When i first walked in, it smelled pretty musty. I had to open all the windows to air it out. Either it’s the water or the sewer smell that’s pretty bad. And the wifi kept having an error on the tv. But other than that the deck view was beautiful.

We had an absolute amazing and epic time staying at this wonderful cute, clean and cozy little home right on the lake! I traveled with my 3 children ages 15, 11, and 7 and we also brought along our 3 fur babies! The location is perfect and super close to the natural spring Kitch-iti-Kipi which is breathtaking! We also traveled just 55 minutes to Munising to do a private pictured rocks tour! We brought two jetskis and paddle boards to use on the massive lake and it felt so private being there. My children and husband caught serval fish including walleye, bass and sunfish. The owner was super caring and very detailed and also responded quickly to things. We were able to have the one of the best weeks staying here and would definitely stay again if we ever had the chance! Thank you for providing such a nice experience and comfortable home for us.
The home and dock. I’m standing in the water as it’s nice and shallow far out off the shore.
Sunrise at the cabin.

Hi! I'm Stacie, and I'm so glad you're considering one of our Upper Peninsula vacation homes for your getaway.

My family and I are passionate about sharing everything we love about the UP—from peaceful lake mornings and campfires under the stars to fishing, boating, ATV adventures, and exploring the small towns that make this area so special.

All of our vacation rentals are family-owned and family-managed. We care for each property as if it were our own because it is! Our goal is to create places where guests feel welcome, comfortable, and excited to return year after year.

As a host, my goal is simple: provide clean, comfortable, welcoming homes where families and friends can relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories. We take pride in being responsive, honest, and available if you need us, while also giving you the privacy to enjoy your vacation.

Whether it's your first visit to the Upper Peninsula or your fiftieth, we're always happy to recommend our favorite restaurants, attractions, beaches, hiking trails, fishing spots, ATV routes, and hidden gems so you can experience the area like a local.

We truly appreciate every guest who chooses to stay with us. Thank you for supporting our family's small business—we look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Upper Peninsula and helping you create memories that last a lifetime!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.

Indian Lake is one of the Upper Peninsula's most beautiful all-sports lakes, making it ideal for boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and simply enjoying life on the water. At the same time, you're only minutes from some of the area's best attractions, including Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Spring), Indian Lake State Park, golf courses, ATV and snowmobile trails, and the shops and restaurants of Manistique.

What we love most is that you can spend the day exploring everything the UP has to offer, then return to the peaceful lakeshore to watch the sunset, gather around the fire pit, or simply enjoy the quiet. It feels tucked away enough to truly unwind, while still being close to everything that makes this part of the Upper Peninsula such a special destination.

For us, this neighborhood captures the very best of the UP—beautiful water, endless outdoor recreation, and the slower pace that keeps us coming back year after year.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What makes M'O'Nistique Retreat special is its simple, authentic lakefront experience. From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by beautiful views of Indian Lake and a peaceful setting that invites you to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

Another thing we love is the location. M'O'Nistique Retreat is just minutes from some of the Upper Peninsula's most popular attractions, including Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Spring), Indian Lake State Park, golf courses, ATV and snowmobile trails, and downtown Manistique. You can easily spend the day exploring waterfalls, riding trails, or sightseeing, then return to the cottage for a quiet evening by the fire.

This isn't a luxury resort—it's a comfortable, family-owned lake house where the focus is on making memories. It's the kind of place where mornings begin on the dock, afternoons are spent on the water, and evenings end around the campfire under a sky full of stars.

If you're looking for a relaxing waterfront getaway with easy access to everything the Upper Peninsula has to offer, M'O'Nistique Retreat is the perfect place to call home during your vacation.
