Our cozy cabin (5 miles from downtown Blairsville and 18 miles to the Murphy casino.) has so much to offer for an unforgettable getaway. If you’re looking for a place to leave your troubles behind and reboot, this tastefully decorated cabin is for you. It truly has a welcoming, relaxing vibe and the privacy and mountain view make it the perfect romantic getaway or honeymoon retreat.

Our cabin is located off a private gravel road and tucked away for privacy. Spend your time taking in the mountain view on the back porch, sitting by the firepit, or watching a movie by the fireplace inside. You can also enjoy an array of games and a cozy entertainment area in the basement.

If you decide to explore the area, Blairsville and its surrounding area have so much to offer! Old Union golf course (visible from the back porch in the winter) is open to the public. Lake Nottely is three miles down the road where you can rent boats and jet skis for a fun day out on the water. If Lake Nottely doesn’t float your boat, you can also visit Lake Chatuge – only 25 minutes north of Hiawassee. We highly recommend visiting a local favorite – Vogel State Park, just 20 min north of Blairsville. Spend the day there by taking a stroll around the beautiful and scenic lake, renting a paddle boat in the summers, and enjoying the walking trails and beautiful waterfalls surrounding the area. If you want to stay closer to town, enjoy the shops and restaurants in downtown Blairsville or explore the walking trails and numerous activities at Meeks Park.

If you are looking for a place to stay to attend weddings in the area, Conley Creek is only 2 miles down the road and Brasstown Valley Resort is a 20-minute scenic drive away.

The 'Georgia Mountain Fair' happens in August.
The 'Sorghum Festival' happens in October, which is PEAK season in the mountains!

Great Stay

We had a great week in the cabin, it was exactly as described and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils for our stay. We particularly enjoyed the hammock and the double balcony as the views were great, we even had a bunch of fireflies at night which was cool. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful property

A beautiful property set against the hillside in Blairsville and near to Lake Nottely. Super clean and the property has everything you need for your home away from home (utensils, cookware, towels, grill, washing machine, dryer, etc). Tons of fun things to do in the area (waterfalls hiking, boating, kayaking, tubing, etc).

Homey cabin close to Blairsville

The cabin was very well-kept, homey, and had everything we needed. The host also reached out to make sure everything was good and that there wasn't anything else we needed. It had a nice view in the distance and multiple areas to relax inside and out.

fun get away

it was very nice property, everything was better than as described or in the pictures. alot of living spaces on every floor to tear off from the main group and hang out. town with stores with all the necessities are close by. I would def stay again if I get a chance.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient to hiking

Very nice property with a good deck for sunset viewing. Short drive to lots of good hiking (Nottely Resevoir trails, Brasstown Bald trails, trails near Vogel State Park, Byran Herbert Reese heritage site. Very short drive into Blairsville. Host is very accessible.

Retreat in Peace

We were looking for a getaway to just relax and enjoy God’s beautiful creation. Well we definitely found it! The views of the mountains and lakes were spectacular and just rejuvenating! Our cabin was our home away from home- can’t think of a thing it did not have. It was well equipped as well as very clean. Paul, our host, was very friendly and most helpful! Definitely will be back! So enjoyed our stay!😊

Perfect Weekend

We rented this spot to be close to our daughter's wedding location at Conley Creek Events and it was such a perfect spot. Paul, the owner, has been amazing from start to finish. He even brought my husband a shirt when he found out that he forgot his suit shirt for the wedding. THAT- is a perfect host! His kindness and communication has outshined any other place we've ever stayed and we plan to go back. Paul, we can't thank you enough for everything.

Northwoods Nook

We just returned from a quick weekend getaway in Blairsville and we stayed at Northwoods Nook. This was a beautiful cabin that was well kept and decorated! The cabin had everything you needed and more in case you forgot something at home which was nice. We saw deer out back, right off the porch both days which was really cool! I really loved that they had a folder in the cabin that provided maps, guides, and menus of local restaurants! This helped us in planning our weekend because this was our first trip to Blairsville. Paul was so easy to get in contact with and helped us along the way. Definitely will be recommending to others and will be booking again in the future!

Comfortable, nice view, well equipped

Nicely furnished and equipped, very comfortable, nice deck with view of the mountain some of the sunset. Paul was very helpful. Only reason for not 5 stars all around: very narrow gravel road approach and very steep driveway down to the house was a little disconcerting. WE would have liked to be able to take a walk around the neighborhood but not feasible with the narrow road and steep driveway. Some shelves and surfaces were a little dusty but overall place was very clean.

Very peaceful, comfortable experience

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay in this lovely home. Our king-sized bedroom and bath was perfectly comfortable, and the house was very clean. We did enjoy the extra space throughout, and the very nice furnishings. Having a fire in the fireplace each evening was a special treat! The view of the surrounding woods and mountains beyond was just what we had hoped for, and enjoyed from the very comfortable chairs out on the wrap-around balcony. Paul, our host, was very helpful and accommodating from the beginning. We highly recommend "Northwoods Nook." It was a delightful experience!

Just what we needed

This was a perfectly lovely mtn getaway. The cabin was everything it says and more. Peaceful and secluded. Paul the host immediately responded to all questions. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to come back.

Hi, After 30 years as a corporate chef it was time to retire. My wife and I decided to move to our cabin in Blairsville GA. We purchased our cabin in 2001. We had many fun family memories of enjoying all this little town has to offer. When we would come up for the weekend after a busy week at work it was all I needed to unwind, spend some quality time with my wife and daughters. Recently the opportunity came up to purchase the house next door. It’s a beautiful cabin with the same ambience we get from our home. We look forward to hosting guests so they too can have the same experience enjoying the beautiful North Georgia mountains in a beautiful warm cozy cabin. We are excited about this new endeavor and look forward to being awesome hosts. Come visit soon !
