Watauga River Cottage in Johnson City, TN!

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly water front river cottage (Approximately 1,700sf). Bring your fishing pole and relax! We have Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required!). Enjoy some time on the hammocks by the river or step into the hot tub on the deck over looking the river.

Please note we do have a video camera overlooking the driveway as well as overlooking the stairway and river bank below the river cottage.

There is also a hot tub for your enjoyment! Must be at least 21 years old or accompanied by an adult.

We love pets and especially puppies but do not allow puppies. We also are not allowed to have aggressive dog breeds on property. For example, not allowed to have Rottweiler, doberman, pit bull, German Shepard, etc. If you’re dog is questionable please ask us. There are kids around the property at different times and they can be easily intimidated. All dogs permissible must be kept on a leash.

It is our policy that only guests with reservations may be on the property. This rule is set in place for the safety of all our guests staying on our property at Watauga River. This rule also keeps our property private, peaceful, and intimate for our guests. Our policy requires any parties or events to be pre-approved.

Great Location

Property was so adorable! The house is very spacious, well stocked and adorably decorated. The river was a wonderful way to unwind from a busy graduation weekend.

This cottage was amazing. We had the best time sitting around the fire pit by the river and kayaking up and down the river, also. The water was so clear, and it was a very nice place to stay. I highly recommend them, and we will definitely be planning to book there again when we are in the area. The stairs leading down to the river are very steep (as mentioned in the posting description), but other than that, it was great.

River Cottage

Wow, what a fantastic place and location. We had everything we needed. Loved the hot tub and the kayaks. Bed was very comfy. Peaceful and relaxing stay. Near to our daughter college and have recommended the cottage to the families of other students. We will definitely be back again. Thanks to Bryan our host as nothing was to much trouble for our just.

Scenic hideout minutes from North Johnson City

Beautifully remodeled house overlooking a gorgeous scenic bend in the Watauga River--feels remote but is only five minutes from the Bristol Highway in north JC. A rustic modern feel inside, a great bed, and outside, beautiful deck with hot tub providing gorgeous river views. Bryan is attentive but not intrusive and responds to questions instantly.

Great stay right on the River

We really enjoyed our week at the River house. Bryan could not have been a better host, there was nothing he would not do. The house has been tastefully restored and the location right on the river is ideal. Bryan has great plans for the area do I am sure it only gets better for future stays.

A GREAT Christmas!!

We had an epic Christmas this year on the bank of the river! We appreciate everything Bryan did to make this holiday so memorable in this wonderful property. Cool mountain mornings, hot coffee, wildlife, hot tub! Really doesn’t get any better! Thanks for everything! Highly recommended!

Great location--and super clean

If this place is available, grab it! My husband stayed here for a week, and it was everything we were looking for. The house has been recently remodeled and was very clean -- comfy beds, wifi and tv! Situated right next to the river with kayaks to use. Getting into town was only about 10 minutes, yet this location was remote and private! The only neighbors we saw were the cows mooing across the street, and the frogs that live in the little pond. Highly recommended!
