COZY COMFORT between the bay and the ocean.

A little house located on West Avalon Drive on the sound side. Very popular location with many amenities such as a multi-purpose path along Bay Drive, the famous Front Porch Coffee Shop located just up the street, Boat launch on Bay Drive as well as the most beautiful sunsets the OBX has to offer. All of this and more on Bay Drive.

Across the road is the famous Avalon Fishing Pier.

Nearby grocery shopping can be found just a mile away. Food Lion, Publix, Target [coming soon - April 2023].

A full movie theater is located as well less than a mile from the house.

Wonderful food can be found just a short distance away: Awful Arthur's, Jolly Roger, Boat and Pony OBX and many other great places.

Putt Putt Golf and mini race cars are also close by.

Duck is only 15 minutes away and Corolla is 30 minute drive further down. Great location to see the infamous Corolla Wild Horses and take a tour.

The pictures don’t do this property justice. One of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed in. It was me, my daughter, and my best friend. We each had our own room. All of the rooms are very cute. Nicely decorated clean. I loved that there were ceiling fans in the rooms. Each room had a set of clean towels. The living space was perfectly sized. The host left, some cookies and popcorn. It was nice that they had laundry because we did end up needing to use it. It was also nice that there were beach chairs, which we used for a day at the beach. They also had plenty of ice made in the freezer, which was appreciated. We did use it and we refilled. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice house that was perfect for our family of 3 (toddler included). Location was excellent and close to the beach, restaurants, groceries stores, etc. Host also had helpful beach necessities available such as cart, kids sand toys, and chairs. We loved it & will be back!

Perfect location in OBX, right in the middle of North and South OBX. The house was extremely clean and inviting. Hard to tell from the photos, but each room has a TV, which was huge with kids during the downtime. Owners had coffee available, which was a godsend on the first morning! Would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful spot for family getaway

This home had everything my family needed in a rental. We loved the cozy space and enjoyed relaxing at the house between beach and other activities. The house was very clean and check-in was a breeze. Location was perfect-close to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. We look forward to our next stay!

Perfect stay at this clean & cozy home!

We had the perfect stay! Thanks Shawn and Mike! The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Washer and dryer were a God send for a sandy beach vacation. The house is close to everything and in a great neighborhood. The house has 3 outdoor areas to sit, relax, and eat. Lovely walk to the bay. Public beach access nearby. Great playground with splash pad only 1 mile away. Grocery store nearby. Definitely check out Duck Donuts while visiting - so delicious! Excellent hosts and beautiful home. 10/10!

Fantastic Stay!

We recently stayed at this lovely house in Kill Devil Hills and had an excellent experience overall. This trip was especially memorable as one of our friends had never seen the ocean before, and this location provided the perfect introduction. The house was clean, comfortable, and ideally located. We also appreciated the complementary snacks and coffee/tea, as well as the provided towels and linens. Most of all we really enjoyed exploring nearby attractions such as the Wright Brothers National Memorial and the Aquarium on Roanoke Island, which added great value to our stay. We found that some essentials like toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels were not provided. However, with many shops like Target and Walmart nearby, it was super easy to pick up what we needed. Our overall experience was amazing, and we are already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy Kill Devil Hills and its surroundings! :)

This was the perfect place for our family of 4. Close to everything we could need, had all the things we would ever need and a nice porch to relax on. Great stay and so close to the sound and beach!

We had a great time!

Had an amazing week staying at this property it was clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was an amazing location close by resturants, supermarkets, Target, and the beach of course, perfect for our family of four.

Cute beach house with everything you need!

This beach house was very cute and cozy. There was everything there we could have needed and much more! Our family of four fit perfect in this house. Also, there are lots of stores close by so you don’t have to travel far if you need something. With little ones we opted to drive to the beach, but if you don’t want to pay to park at the Avalon Pier (I think it’s $15 a day), down the road a few miles (between mile marker 4 and 5) there is a large free parking lot that had a bath house. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Cozy place and fabulous week

Perfect stay for our family of 4 (including 2 teens). We had all that we needed and felt it was a home away from home. Although in some ways we would have liked to have been in walking distance of the beach, we appreciated the quiet street and proximity to anything we would like to do or experience (and nice walking path on the sound side). The home itself was pleasant, comfortable and well-appointed. The owner was responsive. Thank you for a great week of memories for our family! If we ever come back to OBX, we would stay again.

Two crazy folks who enjoy the OBX all year long. We love our little place and wanted to share it with you. We hope you enjoy the OBX! Fairly new to VRBO we've enjoyed partnering with VRBO and excited to have our property here. We both grew up coming to the area during the summer with family...fishing, camping, etc are just some of the activities we enjoyed as kids and now as adults. We like to call ourselves semi-locals.

We purchased this property because we loved the porch and being able to see people come and go along the street. We also love the firepit and the neighborhood of great people around us. The best part of our place is the surrounding community and everyone you meet walking along the multipath on Bay Drive. Enjoy!
