Step back in time, this adorable cabin property located on 7.7 acres right outside of Historic Beaufort, South Carolina. Beaufort is an adorable little town with Southern Hospitality. It has great restaurants, bike riding, site seeing, swings along the river, horse and buggy rides, thrift stores galore, Sat. Market at Port Royal with fresh foods and vegetables, very close to the State Park and Beach with Lighthouse. It's only a one min. drive to the river to sit and watch the sun set and one mile the other way down the road is the community boat dock where you can have a tour boat or fishing charter boat pick you up for a day of adventure on the open waters.

This little cottage home has an outdoor swing by a small pond where you can watch the migrant birds. It has a screened in porch with 2 hammocks. Inside is a rustic living room with an authentic "local" boat on the wall that the locals use to use. The kitchen is equipped with toaster, stove and oven, fridge, dishwasher, and dishes, glasses, pots and pans. The living room has high ceilings, an old sail mask, a TV, and a comfortable sofa and chair. The guest room is downstairs and has stacked twins. The full bathroom is downstairs with a claw foot tub and a shower. The main bedroom has a king size bed and is in the loft overlooking the living room area, it has a small closet and a half bath. This is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy Gods creation.

The migrate birds are so beautiful, the property has deer, fruit, flowers, herbs and other natural habitat.

The boat ramp at Sam's Point Boat Landing on Lucy Creek is only a mile down the road, you can pre arrange a charter boat to take you out on the open rivers fishing or enjoy a day on the ocean.
A short walk from the cabin/cottage is South Bluff Heritage Preserve, well known for the Indian Shell Rings, it has a little bench at the end of the hike where you can sit along the river and watch the sunset.

Also 30 min. away is Family Bible Fellowship, It's a wonderful little church to go on Sun.
The beautiful people who attend the church are very caring the Pastor is preaching the Word of God....

One of the prior reviews says that the pictures don't do the property justice. That is a huge understatement!The cottage is so much nicer than the pictures lead you to believe. Saltillo tile downstairs and rustic reclaimed wood flooring upstairs. Gas stove in the kitchen, which is well-stocked with items that you might need, but would be a waste if you had to purchase just for a short stay (condiments, salt/pepper, etc.). Many interior design details throughout make this really feel like a home. Owner has very good taste!Strong WiFi is a plus -- we routinely had 40Mbps which was great since we had an office Zoom meeting (unfortunately) during our vacation.Bottom line: this cottage really has character. Don't let the pictures hold you back -- they really don't do the cottage justice.

A nice break

The Cove cabin was just as it was online. It was easy to find, very clean and everything we needed for our stay was there. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean and a great location this cabin was perfect. Thank you for making our relaxing time the best

Relaxing on the island

This is a very comfortable cottage. The porch is very relaxing with lots of wildlife to enjoy. The only con is the wifi. It was very inconsistent and cell service is limited but I would definitely stay here again. Already missing the porch and the sound of frogs and birds.

Wonderful Spring Break Family Vacation

We really enjoyed The Cove! Our family of 4 stayed for a week in this cozy and relaxing historic cabin with all the modern amenities. The landscape is beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. Beds are very comfortable and the house is so charming. It’s about 20 minutes to downtown Beaufort and only 10-12 minutes from a grocery store on Lady’s Island. There’s a small beach called Sands beach not too far away. Hunting Island State Park has a great beach and is about a 30 minute drive. We’d definitely stay again!

Beautiful cottage

This property looks just as it is represented. It was an easy check-in and the cottage was beautiful. It had everything I needed and then some. The porch is a great place to sit to enjoy the lovely yard without the mosquitos getting to you. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. We loved exploring the town of Beaufort nearby and the beautiful state park. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore the Lowcountry of South Carolina. It was a treat. Thank you for sharing your Cozy Cottage.

Family Spring Break

Pictures do not do this home justice. The craftsmanship and woodwork details are phenomenal. The house is very open and had more space than we expected. The home is decorated very tastefully and the property is beautiful as well. Very peaceful vacation destination that we hope to return to. Not a negative - but something to note is there is no microwave, so heating leftovers from the amazing restaurants close by isnt easy.

Peaceful Hideaway in Perfect Location!

The Cove exceeded our expectations! It had such a peaceful and relaxing ambiance...so much so that it was hard to drag the family out of the house! We enjoyed sitting on the front screened in porch rocking on the swing and listening to the rain on the tin roof. The childrens beds were extremely comfortable and the bed upstairs was even better. The couch was also very comfy. They had all the little extra touches i.e. laundry detergent, dish soap, and all the dishes and cookware needed. I loved the antique vibe and all the decor was so quaint and pretty...We were an hours drive from Savannah and Charleston...and just ten minutes from the adorable town of beaufort. I would highly recommend the cove and look forward to visiting again.

Great place to stay!

This was our first time down to Beaufort. We loved the house/property from the moment we turned into the drive. It's private and a not so terrible distance outside of town. We spent mornings on the porch together with our coffee and Bibles and hubby spent many evenings out there for his alone time. My girls enjoyed exploring the property and checking out the wildlife. We adored the house. It's so charming. I particularly loved the large clawfoot tub. There was plenty of hot water and pressure. We cooked several times during our stay. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. As mentioned in another review there is no microwave but we didn't find that to be difficult at all. I take 100 years to drink my coffee so I just heated it up on the gas stove. No more than 45-60 seconds and I was good to go. In the evening we used the toaster oven to reheat food and while it took a little longer we all actually enjoyed using it. There is a washer/dryer there and Cher had laundry soap available. She supplies a few small toiletries too. There was a nice card from the property manager when we arrived and check in/out was super easy. One morning I noticed it felt warmer. The thermostat said 77. I notified Cher. We already had a day planned in Savanah. She responded quickly and called for permission to have the property manager come. By the time we got home at 5, the a/c was fixed. It was perfectly fine. These things happen and she responded quickly. Definitely staying again!!

Peaceful and Unique Stay

I love how they decorated the space and the quietness of the property was such a change from the city. It was an easy drive to Beaufort and we even visited Savannah twice. It was peaceful to take walks around the property and listen to the animals. The tiny frogs were cute and a hit with my wife. Can see coming back!

Peace and quiet

We so enjoyed our stay here. The home was ideal for our family of three. It was clean, well furnished and tastefully decorated. The location is somewhat secluded, on one of the sea islands, about 10 miles from the town of Beaufort. I cannot think of one negative criticism of The Cove. It was perfect.
