Awesome Family Halloween Trip

The host was very accommodating. We had a family of 12 and had a great time at Ocean Lakes for Halloween for the kids. Everything was very clean and stocked in house.

Family get together.

We enjoyed a long weekend in this newly remodeled home in a great location. The owner is a dog-lover and pets are welcome.

Great location! Close to water park and ocean!

This was a family vacation. The home had plenty of room, well stocked with equipment in the kitchen and clean. Hopefully we can return again!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean & the owner was a pleasure to work with. We’ve stayed in several homes at ocean lakes & this is by far one of the best as far as cleanliness goes & owner communication. We will definitely stay again.

The disappointed Vacation

Please be aware of this property...the property owner lives in the same neighborhood as the rental...so if you are looking for somewhere to let your hair down and have a good time..this is not the place for you...I was told numerous times before renting..that we had to be quiet..you have to put your own sheets on all the beds...sounds like work already right...the bed upstairs in the kids room was already broken and we accused of breaking it... some chairs sitting on the balcony is weather beaten and is falling apart...and you only have four parking spaces...for 18 people that the house accommodates..so please don't take more than 4 cars..or you will have a headache...

Not worth the hassle

Place was dirty when we checked in. Used tissues & other debris under beds & dresser. Owner constantly checking up to try to catch you doing something wrong: too many tenants, too much noise, etc. (None with our family.) She was kind of a joke to our family, but others might be put off by this. Refused refund of security deposit because check-out cleaning not up to her requirements. In her words, "dirty footprints in bathtub"!!! Also this was not even close to being Oceanfront as advertised. Oceanblock at best. Worst rental our family has ever had in Myrtle beach.

This house will be for sale soon

Two weeks prior I had to remind host to send the links for express check in parking passes (I’ve always had the host contact me for that info). Asked about checkin process host stated she would meet me at house at 4 (never had that before). We arrived at 4 no host had to call to be let inside house. We planned to arrive in shifts to unload and move vehicles to overflow but since host was late we are parked out in road, which she promptly let us know that is against rules. We go inside and host proceeded to talk to me like I planned to throw a frat party in her house threatening to charge for carpets, bunk beds, and re painting inside if damaged. Overall spent most of the week anxious about the return condition of the house. Two full size bunk beds crammed into one room very difficult to navigate the ladders. The departure cleaning list had 14 bullet points (host should hire a cleaning service with the cleaning fee I was charged). Honestly considered staying elsewhere but given short notice couldn’t find a place. It was clear host was fed up with rental business during tour of the house.

Exactly as advertised

I stayed for the week with my family and the house was perfect. Very clean, close to the beach, and plenty of room. The best part was they are pet friendly and were ok with me bringing my Great Dane which is very hard to find. Will definitely be booking again for our next trip.

The getaway

We had a rough start getting there, but we finally made it and the owner met us even with it being late and she had no problem with the time. She was very kind and understanding. She throughly showed us the property and all the amenities upon arrival. The house and property was very immaculate and very well kept. It had everything you possibly needed for your stay. All appliances are updated and accommodating. Property was very roomy for large families. Perfect for families with numerous children. One room is dedicated to children with the double full size bunk beds, which the children loved. Location is great not far from amenities that Ocean lakes has to offer. Very close to beach and beautiful view of beach from porches. Would recommend this property to anybody. We loved our getaway trip and spend quality family time together at such a beautiful place!

Beautiful Beach Home

The property was not just super cleaned but also smelled clean. It was just as expected. Many rooms and restrooms. And the thing I loved the most was the walking distance it had from the beach. We all had so much fun. Thank you!

Great location

Great house but the bunk room is very tight had to squeeze in between the other bunk but otherwise great house close to beach plenty of cooking appliances nicely equipt kitchen never had a house so clean comfortable beds which is a plus on vacation

Wonderful vacation

Everything about our stay was top notch. The house was very clean and excellent location. Only complaint and no fault of the owner is the teens on golf carts cruising playing loud music until late at night. Not sure if it’s like that all the time or just because we were there during spring break.

BEAUTIFUL HOME & WELL KEPT

The owner has very strict rules about taking care of her house which I greatly appreciate. This makes me feel good about where we are staying. The house was spotless, close the ocean, and close by everything. We will definitely stay there again. This is one place you don't have to worry about bedbugs or anything else. It is very well maintained and extremely clean. We loved it. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
