Above garage one bedroom/one bath apartment in booming midtown. Open living with a gas fireplace, ac, full-sized kitchen, and gas stove. A large bathroom with a deep tub to relax or let the kids play. The bedroom features a cozy queen bed with a new Tempur-Pedic mattress topper and ample closet space. The east-facing deck is ready to sip your morning coffee while you wake up slowly, grill for an evening in or sit and work with the high-speed wireless as you watch the dog park across the street!
Welcome to this light, bright, and modern park-side above garage apartment! This unit is above our attached garage so you will be on the same property we live on although the spaces are very separate and private. The apartment provides one bedroom, one full bathroom and a full kitchen open to the living room in approximately 630 square feet. Additionally, the park-facing front patio provides room to read, socialize or grill.
We’ve designed the space to welcome you, your family, and your dog for anywhere from a couple nights to an extended stay with a fully stocked kitchen and ample storage throughout the unit. A mini-split provides air conditioning and heat along with the gas fireplace.
The unit is accessed up one flight of stairs. When entering the unit, you’ll find bench seating and hangers for your coats and some extra books and games for your use while here as well as a USB charging outlet.
The bedroom includes a queen bed with a Tempur-Pediac topper, soft sheets, a fluffy comforter, and plenty of extra pillows! The closet provides both hanging and shelf storage so you can unpack and stay awhile! Blackout curtains on the windows will allow you to sleep in, or pull them aside and let in the sun through the south-facing windows. There is a a pack-and-play for your little in the bedroom closet.
You’ll find a deep tub/shower combo in the generously sized bathroom with quartz countertops and stylish tile flooring. Plenty of storage is available both in the vanity and on the counter. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton balls, and Q-tips are provided to make packing a little easier! We don’t need you to do any laundry for us, but should you need it, the bathroom is also home to a full-sized stacking washer and dryer with detergent provided.
The kitchen and living room are open concept allowing for cooking, eating, and movie watching all at the same time. The kitchen is fully stocked with large and small appliances including a gas stove, dinnerware, kids utensils and dishware, and the essentials for creating meals from home! Salt, pepper, olive oil, and coffee are provided. Seating for 4 is at the stylish butcher block countertops and open to the living room.
The living room has a gas fireplace, large-screen TV, pull-out full-sized sofa bed, and throw blankets for movie nights. Curtains and blinds allow the windows and slider to be fully covered for those sleeping in the living room. Enjoy Bend Magazine and get the local scoop!
The trex patio faces Hollinshead Park and sits over our driveway so, besides when we come and go, is a private space for your stay as well. The patio faces east for the sunrise through the trees in the park and has seating and a gas grill.
We are a dog-friendly space and provide a dog towel and a few toys for the dog park. There is a small dirt area at the bottom of the entry stairs that you are welcome to let your dog out on. The park across the street is a popular off-leash dog park as well as a community garden and small event center.
If you are bringing outdoor gear with you, we have a locked storage space available under the stairs. It is currently gravel flooring. A code is provided on request if you'd like access to this space.
Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi makes this space a great one to work from as well!
We are in the Orchard District neighborhood on the east side of Bend in booming midtown–a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but very accessible to wherever you want to explore in Central Oregon.

The unit is private during your stay with full access to the space. Additionally, there is a storage space under the entry stairs that can be used if desired during your stay, please let us know and we will provide a code. This is a great space for outdoor toys you may bring with you. There is also a small outdoor area at the base of the stairs to let your dog out but it is not fully fenced.
We live in the attached single family home but living spaces are very separate and you have a private entrance. We will make ourselves available for any needs but otherwise will give you privacy.
Established Bend neighborhood called the Orchard District after attempting apple orchards decades ago. Tucked quietly into the heart of midtown Bend, easy access to all Central Oregon has to offer and a peaceful, walkable neighborhood. We are located across the street from a serene park with an off leash dog park and community garden and easily walkable to playgrounds and Pilot Butte. Downtown is roughly 1.5 miles away and the top east side restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops are easily accessible by foot, bike or quick drive.

Old Mill District: 3 miles
Hayden Homes Amphitheater: 3.6 miles
Mt. Bachelor: 23 miles (approximately 30 minute drive)
Phil'sTrailhead: 6.2 miles (approximately 15 minute drive)
Driving or biking is the best option to get around depending on your destination. We are on the east side of Bend, approximately 1.5 miles to downtown, an easy bike ride! Pilot Butte is a great stroll from our house and the neighborhood is very walkable.
We live on this property and have called this neighborhood home for many years. We appreciate you respecting the home and area by not smoking in any way or hosting large or loud gatherings. We hope it goes without saying that no illegal substances or activities will be tolerated. Please respect quiet time after 10pm, especially if socializing outside.
We ask that no gatherings greater than 6 people be held with a maximum of 4 overnight guests.
A friendly dog is welcome, no cats. Please pick up after your dog.
If the grill is used, please ensure the gas is turned off!
Please do not cut directly on the butcher block countertop, use the cutting boards supplied.
If you need towels for outdoor activities, please use the provided beach towels rather than the bath towels. Beach towels are in the linen closet in the bathroom.
Park on the far right side of the driveway please.
Black washcloths are provided for use in case of any makeup or other substances that may stain, please use these!

We love this property for the established, friendly neighborhood it is in, the central location and the park across the street! We have easy access to all Bend and Central Oregon has to offer while being just slightly removed from the busyness of downtown. This neighborhood was an old attempt at an apple orchard so you'll see old apple trees on our property and others!
