Discover the combination of a rustic and modern Anchorage lifestyle from this historical downtown 1915 log cabin. Being one of the closest properties to prime downtown attractions while also located on the bike trails and park strip, it's the ideal basecamp to explore all the splendors that Alaska has to offer!

The Coastal Cabin on M Street is an ideal location for staying in downtown Anchorage. It is nested on a quiet street, between the downtown park strip and the Cook Inlet coast.
Enjoy a locally brewed beer from 49th State Brewery, grill up a salmon fillet from 10th and M Seafoods, rent a bike and go for a beautiful bike ride on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, enjoy the endless park strip less than two blocks away, and both the coastal and mountain views!

Cute place with historic charm. The house was perfumed and the bathroom was a bit cramped, but the location was great and the host was clear, friendly, and welcoming.

Charming, cozy, and outstanding location

This historic log cabin is within walking distance of the center of downtown Anchorage and is always a joy to come back to. Small and cozy - 2 or 3 people can be comfortable. Love this place!

Only stayed two nights but perfect for what we needed. Close to Tony Knowles trail and bike rentals. Walked to multiple fun restaurants. Only negative is communication; was worried about our reservation because didn't really hear about check in until day of, something easy to fix.

Anchorage Visit

Our second time staying here - last time was -15F. Much warmer this trip! We love this cute little cottage and especially its central location to everything in downtown Anchorage. Access to the coastal trail is a huge plus!

Great stay in a historical property

We stayed a couple of nights in Anchorage after a longer tour around Alaska. This spot was a great area to walk to coffee and shops downtown and was amazing to stay in a home with so much history and heritage. Communication with our host was easy!

The cabin was located close enough to walk to all the shopping and eating spots in Anchorage. The tours were close to walk to. The transportation was easy to use. The host communication was excellent and most helpful.

Downtown Anchorage

Very close to downtown Anchorage. We were able to walk to restaurants and markets in the downtown area. Property was very clean and had lots of charm and character.

Great little antique house in a quiet neighborhood. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, except coffee mugs. They provide a wonderful coffee pot, coffee beans, a grinder, but small tea cups. Please add some coffee mugs. I'd stay there again.

Downtown

Great location for all of our downtown adventures. Parked the car and never had to drive until we left. House is very cozy and stayed plenty warm even though temps hovered around 0F.

Lots of nice touches, very cool house

This cabin has a ton of character. The neighborhood is quiet and just a few blocks from the coastal trail. The host does a great job with providing conveniences and touches around the home to make you feel welcome.

Great location and comfortable, cute home

The house was conveniently located, cute, and comfortable. However, I asked for the door code ahead of our arrival, explaining that I would not have access to wifi to access the code onVRBO once I left the airport. They refused to give it to me until 4 PM, checkin time, so we had to wait at the airport until 4, to get th3 code. They also did not explain how to use the lock after punching in th3 numbers, so that took awhile to figure out.

The property met all expectations but communication with the host was lacking. On two occasions i mentioned we had no wi fi and were left driving around the city seeking wi fi just to get the access code. I feel i wasted my whole day waiting to get the access code which was issued 30 minutes before check in.

The cabin was perfect for us. It was comfortable and less stressful than staying at a noisy hotel. Great walking distance and kitchen amenities made this a great stay. Had initial communication delay due to the VRBO computer system, but communication was easy after the initial delay . Thank you for the hospitality!! Alaska is the most beautiful state I've ever seen
