Stunning Sea Views Steps to Stinson Beach + Town

Be taken back in time with the redwood paneled interior walls of the main living room. Sit in front of the spectacular fireplace and bask in the amazing ocean views from the redwood wrap around deck while sipping on your morning coffee or gaze at the stars while keeping toasty in front of either of the two gas fire pits on the deck or the front patio.
With a hot tub to de stress in and a wild garden for the kids and adults to explore there's lots to do without even leaving the property. The kids play structure hidden at the bottom of the garden is big enough to keep the little people and not too little people entertained (my 9yr old is partial to hanging out down there) The house comes with four boogie boards and a few skim boards to make beach time more fun. We have a ring camera you’ll see it at the front door. It faces the exterior stairs which are at the entrance to the patio. This is the only security camera/device on the property and we wanted to let folks know it’s there.

Fabulous location, the waves are seen and heard, easy access to town for delicious pastries, pickup basketball, and bookstore. Nice hiking trails and convenient beach access. A true home, we were so fortunate to get to stay in it!

Our stay was delightful! The home is clean and well appointed with all that we needed to make our weekend fun and relaxing. The deck is amazing and the views stunning. The location could not be better; the beach is a short 5 min walk, yet the home is far enough away from the main drag that you don't get caught up in the weekend mayhem. Our host was super responsive and even accommodated a special request we had. I can't recommend this home enough! Truly a great experience all around.

Definitely rundown and in need of some TLC: Sofa cushions exposed to sun completely bleached out. Upper deck nice but lower floor patio with hot tub needs deep cleaning. Path down to play structure has areas of disrepair-play area itself needs pruning and sprucing up. Dead plants in front area window boxes not a good first impression.

Great central location with ocean views

We had a wonderful time staying in Stinson Beach. The property was perfect for our family and parents with plenty of sleeping room. They had beach chairs, toys, boogie boards and wetsuits for the kids which luckily fit them well enough not to need to rent anything. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful in the mornings and evenings and the deck was great for lounging and enjoying the views with a coffee or cocktail. The house is just up the hill from the main beach access and is centrally located for all Stinson beach has to offer.

Sweet home in Stinson

Our family had a wonderful time, really loved how close home was to town and beach and Joanne was so warm and welcoming. Home has everything you need for family time at beach. Kitchen was so well stocked with cooking supplies and organic cooking oils we loved cooking all our meals. My boys loved the piano, endless legos, and bin of beach toys and activities.

We loved our stay at this beautiful house! We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids ( ages 3 & 5). Plenty of space for everyone, multiple lovely outdoor gathering areas, cupboards of games and legos and a hot tub I could barely get my kids out of. It’s an easy walk to the store, restaurant and beach- especially with the wagon and sand toys provided! We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

Vintage Stinson Beach vacation home

We had a lovely time at this updated vintage Stinson Beach vacation home, overlooking the town with panoramic views of the ocean and sky. The house had everything we needed, including games, current books, ample kitchen equipment, a working fireplace and hot tub. The 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The back deck has lots of comfortable outdoor furniture and it’s not too hard to walk down into town for an excellent bakery, grocery, book store and a couple of surprisingly good restaurants with lots of fresh seafood and vegetarian options. This is a home perfect for a honeymoon or quiet getaway. Muir Woods is within relatively easy striking distance and Point Reyes is about an hour away. There is a trailhead a block or so away and an expansive public beach which is easy to walk along as well.The outside flight of stairs down to the house, and the stairs inside the house are a little treacherous, but work fine if you’re careful. The modern kitchen chairs are a tad rickety, but fit the décor. There is a piano we enjoyed, which could use a good tuning. If you can arrive during the day, that would be ideal, because the access road, CA 1, in and out of town are narrow, winding and a bit scary if you’re not regularly used to that kind of driving. If you’re mostly staying in town, it’s no biggie, but heading back into The City or out of town in any direction was rather daunting for our group of four.

Great location and view

We really enjoyed the location. Very short walk to the beach, little market and Parkside Cafe. We never used a car. The house has an amazing deck with ocean views. Kitchen was well equipped and stocked, including with toddler friendly dishes. House also came with toys and a wagon to take to the beach.

Adorable beach house in Stinson

Joanne’s beach home is clean, well cared for, and the perfect set up for a family gathering. The neighbors are friendly and the location convenient for beach time, hiking, and shopping. We loved sitting in the sun with the doors to the deck open to the sounds and smells of the ocean. Everything about the home and our stay in Stinson exceeded expectations!

Family-friendly home right near the beach

We really loved our stay and would like to come back soon! Our group included five adults and three kids (two babies and one 2-year-old). The house had plenty of space for everyone. This is the best-stocked kitchen I've ever encountered in a rental home. We also loved the backyard with a swing set and hot tub. The house is a 5 minute walk from Parkside cafe, and a 10 minute walk from the beach. The views from the kitchen and living room are beautiful. We spent 3 happy days in this home and would highly recommend it!

The Best for a family and space.

Great space and view. Plenty of room For my granddaughters to get ready each day for excursions and activities. The Host was quick to respond to texts and information to check in was made so easy for us. We WILL be back again. We LOVE this home. Also This home was equipped with many cooking and grilling supplies. We highly recommend this home for a group of 8.

Great home!

We had such a wonderful stay! The pictures do not do it justice. This house is perfect for all ages, well stocked, easy access to the shops and restaurants in town, and the host is a pleasure! I'd highly recommend for families with children or groups with members of all ages.

Wonderful Experience, Perfect Location, so Cozy

Could not have had a better experience in Stinson Beach. We explored the amazing local trails, spent time at the beach, and walking around the town. Even our time just sitting at the house doing puzzles, listening to music, and relaxing was so enjoyable with the amazing ocean views and comfortable coziness of the home. We hope to return again! This home is an oasis. We didn't want to leave!

We've stayed in dozens of rental homes all over the place, and this was among the best. The home itself is darling, a bit of a time warp back to the 50's or 60's, but impeccably designed and well maintained. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly updated and gorgeous. The host, Joanne, was great. Super communicative, easy to work with, and she has the home stocked to perfection. I don't think I've ever seen so many beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, and other beach gear ready in one place before. It's an easy 5min walk to the beach, and even less to the main restaurants and attractions in Stinson beach. We're already planning our next trip back here!

This house is loved.

I planned a surprise trip for my husband’s birthday. We walked in the house and were greeted with treats from a local bakery and a kind note from Joanne. We were four adults and two kids. We had a birthday dinner one night with ten adults. Although the dinning table can fit eight chairs, it was tight. This house has been loved. I could feel it in the thoughtful touches. I forgot the birthday candles and there were some in a kitchen drawer. I forgot the stakes for the s’mores and there was set in another kitchen drawer. Our friends brought their own coffee beans and luckily there was a grinder. They loved the Ninja blender! The kitchen had a big refrigerator and all the tools, including sharp knives. The living room had blankets to cuddle on the couch with and interesting books. The fireplace in the living room was well ventilated. When it was lit. I didn’t want to leave. I used the yoga mat in the mud room every morning. The TV room was perfect for our kids to have their own space. They explored the play structure in the backyard as well. The beach toys were conveniently located by the back deck. We really appreciated the beach towels and the efficient washer and dryer. This house was just right for us to celebrate a birthday. We will reminisce about the sunsets and fun times. Thanks Joanne!

Family Trip

We had a nice time visiting Stinson with our kids. The house is lovely, however it was a little bit challenging for us to kid proof it for our toddlers. I think it's a good house for adults and older children, but for toddlers who want to get into everything it wasn't a great fit (not the fault of the owner). Also, a member of our family is 6'6" and found himself hitting his head a lot in the downstairs portion of the house (door ways, etc), again not the owner's fault. Just a heads up for the very tall folks out there. Otherwise, the house is well stocked and it's easy enough to get to the beach.

Perfect beach house

Our family with two kids (ages 6 and 7) loved this house. So comfortable and beautiful design touches. Easy to walk everywhere in town and to the beach. The kids wanted to see redwoods and Muir Woods was an easy drive. Phenomenal hiking trails start just a block from the house. Be sure you have directions loaded before you leave SF because cell service is spotty to nonexistent close to town.

Lovely getaway

We had a wonderful week in Stinson beach! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels for the beach and great hot tub for after surfing in the cold waves! Town is right down the hill making it easy to pop out for a bite or a walk. And the views from the house are gorgeous. Joanne was super responsive and accommodating.

A beautiful getaway!

We had a fantastic time!! We are from OH and are not familiar with CA. We did not anticipate the potentially treacherous drive to our beach stay, but the extraordinary beauty made it worth every switchback. We were in awe of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains and scenery daily. The quite beach town made for a perfect contrast from our day trips to San Francisco. We spent each morning walking with the kids to the little coffee shop, eating our delicious pastries while they played at little little park across the street. The property was fantastic. We would recommend the stay to anyone. (Don’t forget to bring your coat!)

Because it's a little slice of paradise. The overgrown garden is home to so many butterflies, hummingbirds and bees, it's magical. There's a swing set and playhouse for the younger family members hidden under the Holly Tree. The house has ocean views from almost every room, it's amazing to be able to check out the waves from the comfort of the living room couch and kitchen table. The hot tub is a perfect place to relax after a day spent in the refreshing sea waters and the outdoor couch is ideally located for optimal sun exposure, sheltered from the seas breezes.
Relax, read a book, cook on the BBQ enjoy beach time with family and friends. Roast some s'mores over the fire pit and make yourself at home.
