Winter Wonderland

The cabin was cozy and cutely decorated. We brought breakfast, lunch and snack food, but had everything we needed. Most of New Mexico’s restaurants are currently take-out only, so be prepared to eat outside or take it back to the Trails End cabin. The snowy mountain scenery was spectacular

Amazing Views- Beautiful Ranch!

Celebrated our 31st Anniversary weekend at this beautiful place! Quiet, secluded but close to town too! Kerri was wonderful and made arrangements for us to stay even though it was last minute. The bunkhouse was cozy and had everything we needed. We will be back! Thanks Kerri for your kindness and allowing us the opportunity to enjoy such a cool place! We loved it!

Fantastic views, bed not great.

We spent several days at the cabin in June, and really enjoyed the area’s beauty. The king size bed, sad to say, has had too many birthdays. Otherwise, the cabin was a wonderful getaway place.

So glad Ann came to visit. I’m confused as to why she thought the mattress was old . . I have never had any other complaints and I love to sleep in it. I don’t think the mattress is over two years old. I bought it at Overland Sheepskin and I believe it has a two year warrant.

Cozy Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The location is wonderful. We saw deer, elk, a bobcat, rabbits, prairie dogs, chipmunks, a hawk, bluebirds, and hummingbirds. The mountains, beautiful skies, and wildflowers were gorgeous. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. There was one close neighbor, but they were quiet. There was a small privacy fence dividing the properties.

Our Best Family Vacation Yet!

We absolutely LOVED staying at Karen's cabin. It is the perfect size for our family of 4. Very clean and organized. The heaters work so well and we slept like babies each night in the comfy beds. Karen was always available when we texted her with questions leading up to our stay, The grounds and neighborhood were picturesque. Karen had a folder in the cabin with suggestions for food, etc. in Angel Fire as well as close by Taos and Santa Fe. We loved it so much and had such an amazing experience. We definitely plan to stay there next time we go to Angel Fire!

I’m so glad Gary and his family enjoyed my little cabin in the woods. For their winter get away. They were so easy to work with and left the cabin in great shape. I’d live to have them come again.

It was O.K

Would have been improved with a comfortable chair for reading in the cabin but all in all an "OK" experience. Would probably look for something a little more comfortable next time. Karen was a great hostess, though.

Cozy Cabin Stay

This was our first trip to Angel Fire and we loved it! Karen's cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 4 and our little Shih Tzu. We had all the comforts of home! My husband built a fire in the fireplace every evening and we cooked dinner at the cabin each night. It snowed almost every day and the mountain scenery was beautiful. Our SUV handled the snowy roads just fine in 4 wheel drive. Communication with Karen was excellent. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful stay!

Mountain Bliss

Absolutely adorable, well maintained, pet and kid friendly cabin in the perfect mountain setting. Isolated and quiet, but still close to town. Abundant wildlife—black bear, wild turkeys, deer, prairie dogs, bunnies and chipmunks. Stunning views! Sit on the porch and enjoy a beautiful mountain sunset. Well stocked kitchen and washer dryer to boot! Internet/Wi-Fi connection was excellent (I teleworked part time). KK was an amazing and responsive host. We can’t wait to go back!

Great cabin for large group

We spent a family retreat here with a large group and loved the feel and size of the home. The cabin you can rent 50 yards away with it is just the perfect combination to fit everyone. The seclusion was perfect for reconnecting without worrying about neighbors. The kids enjoyed sledding down the front drive way and the adults enjoyed watching from the large front deck. The sunroom shows the beautiful views and we were lucky enough to sit by the fire and watch the snow fall. The owner is very prompt with answering questions and was very kind and welcoming to our large family. We will definitely make this a return destination.

Trails End Cabin

Very beautiful scenery and a cozy cabin. Enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the variety of songbirds in the Ponderosa Pines. The only negative is that we never got check in and check out instructions. I had to call the property owner to get the entry code. Got a friendly but rushed set of instructions. Never got the promised email. We were instructed to take the trash to the dumpsters by the road entrance when we left. They were all overflowing with trash and had to jam ours into an overloaded nasty dumpster. Makes one wonder.

Now more than ever, our memories are so precious to us and those made with loved ones can sustain us for a lifetime! I am a small town girl with a love of all cultures, children and animals, travel, seeing new things, learning about the history and peoples of a region and sharing it with others, and making memories to cherish and to laugh at in the years to come! Memories and family stories that LEGENDS are made of!

Legendary Getaways Un Limited is all about making memories with family, friends, and if you are lucky, BOTH! We specialize in larger properties great for groups or families: I prefer a property where you don't have to keep the grandchildren quiet or worry about disturbing the neighbors. I grew up with a large extended and blended family and my Aunt Sadie had a place we could go for family gatherings and milestones, where my dad was born and my grandmother had the first phone installed. Those feelings of comfort, familiarity, and a nostalgic longing for days past made us appreciate our memories and wish everyone could experience something like that so we started Legendary Getaways and Legendary Vacations. We treat everyone like family and want our guests to feel like this is also their place to bring friends and family every year and encourage this by favoring returning guests with discounts. We have been coming to Angel Fire for the beauty and scenery combined with year-round activities forever but it remains small and private with the convenience of larger cities nearby and without the prices of our neighboring Colorado resorts. Drivable from all surrounding states so you can bypass the airports if you desire, making it so much more affordable for the couple with 6 kids!

This family homestead is less than a mile from where scenes were filmed meant to depict the beauty of Montana in the world famous movie, Lonesome Dove. It seems remote without being so (has high speed fiberoptic!) and is fairly easy to drive to. The beauty of this property is truly magnificent and does remind me of Montana. Looking at the views of Wheeler Peak in the background, I am reminded of scenes from the John Wayne movie Grit and I wouldn't be too surprised to see John Wayne or Glen Campbell come riding up to the fence! As a matter of fact, our location is perfect for privacy, we host many VIP's and are happy to sign a NDA for your peace of mind.

Rustic Mountain Log Cabin meets Spanish Hacienda, reflecting our local heritage. The moment you turn in the gate you know this is a special place! The sound of the wind whispering in the trees is probably what creates the great healing energy many people have mentioned. The Vintage ranch truck is great for photos!! I will have it lit up and decorated for the holidays! This ranch has been home to special events for over 100 people, weddings, Holiday parties and social functions for the people of the area. Sunrise is not to be missed, keep the camera ready as we encourage guests to send their photos of the beauty, wildlife, or of your group enjoying the property or the area and we will share on our websites and social media - starring YOU! The home and cabin are comfortable as well as beautiful with everything we usually need for our own family gatherings, including the Julio's chips from Texas and local New Mexico Pinion coffee if we can get them for you.
