Honey Bear Den at Tamarron Resort is our two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo (Gambel Oak #786) featuring a full kitchen, electric fireplace and private deck, with views of the Glacier Club’s golf course and unmatched views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains. Wifi speeds are appx 100+ mbps. Several stairs required to reach condo. Spiral staircase to second floor loft bedroom. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

Beautiful condo overlooks the golf course and up to the red cliffs. The main level has a queen bedroom, full bath, full kitchen, living and dining areas - great deck with views! The loft bedroom suite is upstairs with two queen beds, desk, full bathroom, streaming TV, separate vanity area and large closet. Electric fireplace, Washer/Dryer. The living room TV is hooked up to Direct TV. The loft bedroom TV is streaming only.

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

4WD is recommended in Winter (Dec-Mar).

Good location

We went for skiing at Purgatory. It was easy to get to the mountain and easy to get to town for dinners and groceries. We enjoyed the wood burning stove!

Golf, Fantastic Food & Friendly Staff!

Fantastic Gem found in picture perfect surroundings. Excellent & Challenging Golf Course, Club house Food was exceptional - for Breakfast & Dinners! Best gluten free ,avocado toast with poached egg! great location for a quick ride into Durango. Will definitely visit again. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.

Nice condo and amenities.

This condo was clean and right on the 3rd fairway. Appliances were low-end and first floor bed needs a new mattress, the headboard wasn't attached and made noise every time you moved (fixed with towels). Nice amenities at the resort. A bit far from downtown Durango and we found ourselves heading north to trails. Regardless, I'd go back.

Overall Great

Only issue was when we arrived there was no working A/C unit so it was 82 degrees the first night. The next day an A/C unit was installed, but it took all day to complete. VRC refunded us for the first night stay. Only complaint is I wish we were given advanced notice of this issue or offered another property. Starting off a vacation this way is not ideal.

Our only complaint is the comfort level of the master bedroom mattress. The upstairs beds were super comfortable but the master was very uncomfortable! Ski trip

The property was nice and accommodating 2 things tho : Mice or some sort of pest are in the downstairs walls. A little unsettling at night. And at 6am Saturday I wasn’t counting on hearing the neighbors hammer and saw. I was on vacation and would’ve enjoyed getting to sleep in . Other than that we had a great stay and fabulous time

Glacier golf

Convenient location for the gym, pool and pro shop/restaurant. Clean but these condos are are little dated as they are 40 years old, a very good value though IMO. Somehow the check in data was not communicated from VRC to Tamarron. It all worked out but sort of concerning when traveling with a large family coming in from multiple locations. Ultimately, no problem.

ANice property, poor Internet

The property was clean, nicely furnished, the surroundings are beautiful. However, you are totally disconnected from outside world as I ternet functioned for about 25% of the stay and cell phone coverage is almost inexistent. If you don’t mind being isolated, then this place is percet. The ither thing with Internet connection is that you dob’t get access to the unit protected network, you have to work with the Tamarron Public network, so if you have passwords and other private info you’d better avoid using them.

Nice place could have been cleaner

The property was really nice we enjoyed our stay especially the pool and playground! But the ceiling fans and lights really needed dusting, and the ac air filter was dirty. Also some of the sheets and towels were stained

Secluded patio

Loved the secluded back patio. The couch was comfortable, and the upstairs beds were very comfortable. There was a great feel to the place and we enjoyed the property. Only 20 or so minutes from downtown Durango, we were able to enjoy the city and the country.

My kids really enjoyed the pool, the golf course is beautiful, and the condo was clean and modern. The only negative I have is that the bed in the downstairs bedroom is really hard and it was a bit uneven, so my husband kept rolling into the middle. Other than that, it was perfect. The management company was very responsive and helpful - I accidentally left my expensive jacket there and they found it and will mail it to me, to my relief.

Wonderful Place!

Place was darling - great location with nice amenities. Perfect space for our family of 4. The fireplace wasn’t working, which was a bummer, but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back!!!
