Dearest Diana, My sincere apologies. I manage the bookings for the Charming Retreat but do not own it. The home is a vacant fully furnished home with plenty of charm strictly used as a vacation home for VRBO guests and has received many constant five star reviews. It is unfair and ruthless that you strongly encourage guests in your vicious and cruel like manner not to book the home only after YOUR one and only unfortunate experience. We thrive and are proud to provide a clean and well sanitize home for all our guests. You are correct. The home was prepared and made ready for your arrival immediately after a previous guest checked out, but without our knowledge or approval, teenage friends of the homeowner's son spend the night and left the home as you described. We did respond immediately to your call and concern and arrived to the home within twenty minutes to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and prepare the home for you within a matter of one and a half hours while you shopped for groceries. We received your approval upon your return. You approved so much that you thanked us, gave us a hug, and left us a $40.00 dollar tip after checking out which we sincerely appreciated. Your negative comment really puzzled me but you were our wonderful guests and I take full responsibility for our oversight. I did have the homeowner deduct that one night stay and credited back to your account. All I can say is I am very sorry and hope we can make it up to you soon.

Richard. We strive hard to keep out 5 star rating and always go out of our way to make our guests feel safe and comfortable. I am sincerely sorry that the mattress appeared to be too hard for you. I have not gadcany complaints about it prior to you and throughout the years that I have been hosting. Thank you for making me aware of it. I will take measures to change the mattress after asking my next 2 to 3 guest for their opnions on the comfort of both matresses. God bless you.

Hi Alena. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and the friendly deer and fawns that will come right up to you. I keep corn in the driveway garage so when guests arrive they wait for guest to feed them. Thank you for bringing the shower door issue to my attention. I have not received any prior reports about the door but I will certainly look at it immediately. I can only guess that the small roller came of its track. It was a pleasure hosting you. Hi David and thank you again for your stay. With all due respect, I must dispute your claim that my air ducts need cleaning. As you will note from previous reviews, no other guests have complained about the air ducts. My AC system is no more than seven months old including the air ducts but surely did not expect you to know that information. A previous guest brought their two dogs with them despite my no pet policy and after their departure, discovered a slightly similar odor in my home but more so inside my large attached garage where they claimed to have kept the dogs all the while during their stay. In fact, I noticed large dog paw prints on the large sliding glass door that looks out the backyard where the deer commonly gather and appear, as you did, also noticed the deer. The dogs also scratched and chewed on the door that divides the garage from the house. Due to my inability to cancel your stay on such short notice which would have been unfair to you, I tried to power wash away the odor from the garage concrete floor and believed I eliminated the odor but my sense of smell may not be as sensitive as yours. I must also add that it is impossible for you to determine that the air ducts need cleaning unless you went up into my attic, inspected them and saw the need to have them cleaned. Nonetheless, I apologize for your experience and will have the ducts inspected for reassurance and the garage floor professionally recleaned so that I may continue to provide any and all future guests with a clean, well-sanitized, comfortable, and safe home so that I may maintain my five star review status.
