Studio Castor is comfortable, very well equipped, and very clean. However, finding the property was difficult, as the sign for Studio Castor was on a different house! Communication with the owners was not easy, as they were not in Zermatt during our stay, and the problem we had operating the oven was eventually solved by our son-in-law. Having said all that, we would happily stay again at Studio Castor.

A really lovely place to stay!Very quiet, but only a short walk to the centre of Zermatt. From the bed, you can see the top of the Matterhorn, a real treat. The apartment had everything you could need, all the cooking equipment was in good condition and not the usual scratched and worn out pans you usually get.

We spent a great in Zermatt, and the studio served as the perfect base for our adventures.It had all amenities needed, and it was sparkling clean at arrival.The hosts shared all relevant information prior to arrival, and made sure to check in with us during our stay as well.

Room was good as expected

Clean modern flat. Somehow central and very near to one of the stations. There is really nothing that's worth to complain. Just be warned about one thing: "Get a taxi when you arrive". The recommendation is there for a good reason. Don't repeat my mistakes. (Not really related to the flat)

Great location for the price

This was a great spot to stay for skiing in Zermatt. It’s a 10 min walk to the Furi lift, but one minute walk to the bus that can take you to the lift. You can see the tip of the Matterhorn from bed!!!! The host was so gracious, left some local treats and goodies in a basket for me to try, and the space was clean with everything you would need. The only thing that could improve the stay is more bedding and pillows to have a comfortable sleep. I would come back because it’s a great price compared to other options.

Beautiful studio apartment in a quiet location with great view of the Matterhorn!

We loved our stay at Studio Caster. Wonderful Winkelmatten location and perfectly equipped! We were able to cook simple meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and the space is warm and cozy! Hosts Manfred and Nicole were super!

schöne Wohnung abseits des Trubels

Kleine Wohnung ideal für 2 Personen. Modern und sauber. 20min Fussweg vom Bahnhof. ruhigere Wohngegend. Wenn man vor das Haus geht toller Blick zum Matterhorn. Von der Wohnung und Terrasse sieht man leider nur die Spitze des Matterhorns über der Hecke des Nachbarn. Offene Terrasse zu den Nachbarn. Hat uns gut gefallen.

Alles Perfekt, definitiv ALLES!!

Ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt! Die Ferienwohnung liegt oberhalb von Zermatt & bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf das Matterhorn. Gleich vor der Wohnung liegt eine Bushaltestelle, von hier aus fahren alle 30 Minuten Gratisbuse ins Dorf ( rote Linie). Es gibt zwar auch Taxis, aber diese sind auf Dauer zu teuer.Die Buse reichen vollkommen aus! Die Wohnung hat alles geboten was man benötigt. Als Gastgeschenk haben wir einen Korb mit Wein, Milch,O-Saft, Marmelade. Käse, Butter & Brot erhalten. Vielen lieben Dank! Es waren auch sämtliche Gewürze vorhanden. Die Küche war mit Öl, Essig, Tee, Pulverkaffee & Kaffeekapseln ausgestattet. Um ein Raclette oder Fondue zu machen, war ebenso alles an Gerätschaften vorhanden.Zudem ein IPAD, APPLETV, CH-Adapter, Spiele usw. Ein toll angelegter Ordner mit sehr vielen Infos stand auch zur Verfügung! Eine super Terrasse mit Tisch & Stühlen lud zum verweilen ein. Es lief morgens um 6 Uhr sogar einmal ein Reh im Garten vorbei, das war einfach herrlich! Der Kontakt zu der Vermieterin war ebenfalls sehr nett & lieb. Im Dorf selbst gibt es alles was man benötigt ( für Lebensmittel etc einen Migros, COOP, Denner) . Die Lage ist ideal für tolle Ausflüge. Ich kann eine Wanderung nach ZMUTT empfehlen! Hier sahen wir das erste mal Murmeltiere, tolles Erlebnis! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Enjoyed our start

The unit was great and had everything we needed. Short walk to the center of town and a view of the Matterhorn from the unit. We do wish we had known that “the season” ended last week. Most restaurants and shops were closed. We ended up making the best of it and enjoyed not having to deal with the crowds.

Fantastic use of space

Wonderfully modern studio apartment with a view of the Matterhorn from bed! We loved everything about this place from the super efficient kitchen, thoughtful lighting, patio access, laundry and ski room in the building, and a miniscule walk to the free ski shuttle/bus, as well as a relatively short walk with good exercise coming back, to go downtown.

Great garden level studio in Zermatt!

Manfred and Nicole have a great studio for a ski trip in Zermatt! Walk to Matterhorn Express is only 10 minutes but it's also right on the bus line to get you anywhere else you'd like to go in town. We cooked several meals while staying and all kitchen supplies we needed were there. Also, the AppleTV was a bonus. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely apartment in good location

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed all that the town has to offer. The host was easily contactable and it is clear that a lot of thought has been put in to everything within the apartment. There was a great booklet of information available and very interesting to see the family tree connections! We can both recommend a stay here.

Ski Trip

We had a great stay in Studio Castor for a week-long ski trip! The listing was accurate, clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials for our stay. Plenty of storage space in the apartment for all of our gear and the ski storage room downstairs was very nice too. The location was great, with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn out the window. The apartment is right next to the Wiestiboden bus stop which made it very convenient to get to the slopes each morning or into town for dinner in the evening. As others have mentioned, the welcome basket provided was such a nice touch! Great communication with the host and felt well taken care of during our stay. Would recommend!

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Zermatt verlebt. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Apartment war sehr wohnlich gestaltet, sehr sauber und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Zur Begrüßung fanden wir einen Brotkorb mit Butter, Käse, einer köstlichen selbst gemachten Marmelade und eine Flasche Rotwein vor. Der übrigens sehr lecker war. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.
