Cozy Bottom Suite. La Mimosa de Taboga

I’m originally from Mexico and now based in Panama, where I run a marketing and technology business. I’ve always been drawn to places that feel a bit slower, more intentional—and Taboga quickly became one of those places for me.

Hosting started as a way to share that feeling with others. What I enjoy most is creating spaces that are simple, thoughtful, and comfortable—somewhere you can disconnect from the noise and actually enjoy where you are.

When I’m not working, I love spending time on the island, exploring, being near the ocean, and improving the property little by little to make each stay better than the last.

Taboga has a unique energy that’s hard to find so close to the city. It’s just a short ferry ride from Panama City, but it feels completely different—quiet, walkable, and surrounded by nature.

What I enjoy most is the balance: you get ocean views, colorful historic streets, and a slower pace of life, without being completely disconnected. There’s a sense of simplicity here that makes it easy to unwind.

It’s a place where you can spend the day at the beach, walk through the town, and end it with a quiet sunset—all within minutes.

The property is designed to feel like a calm, private retreat while still being close to everything in Taboga. Each space has been thoughtfully set up to be comfortable, functional, and visually clean.

One of the key features is the flexibility of the layout, allowing guests to enjoy privacy whether they’re staying as a couple, a small group, or a family. The views, natural light, and outdoor areas also make a big difference—they’re meant to be part of the experience, not just the background.

More than anything, what makes it unique is the intention behind it: it’s not just a place to stay, but a space designed to help you slow down and enjoy the island.
