Beautiful new hot tub overlooking the tranquil open water! Catch amazing sunsets and great tan lines from the dock that is capable of handling up to a 30 ft boat! Please remember this home is on the open water, so please bring your bumpers. Plenty of room for trailer parking and vehicles! Loved the view

The property was quite and a great break from the hustle and bustle of life. Great place to recharge and perfect for relaxation. The sunsets were amazing! Lots of sea life from the dock. Exactly what were looking for. Will definitely be back!

Nice Keys Rental

The house fits the Island and the Keys in general. We went during a record-breaking heatwave for the keys, and the A/C struggled to maintain 78-80 degrees during the day, which wasn't a major deal for us since we spent most of time away from the house doing other things. Overall, we would visit this property again during the spring or fall.

Endless views & Plenty of privacy

We spent a wonderful week on this property. The views are endless and the neighborhood quiet. Everything we needed was provided. The house was clean and nice. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed comfortable. The outside space is well maintained with areas to enjoy sun or shade. The property also included everything you need for a beach day. While just two of us stayed here, it could work for a family or two couples as well. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again

Location, location, location

We arrived at night and it was dark,( could use better out front lighting and larger house number.) We ended up at the house next door, called property manager Jessica and she quickly answered and helped us to get to the right place. Upon arrival, everything was clean and well stocked in the kitchen and baths. I was concerned reading several reviews about the condition of items in the house., but honestly everything was great inside yes the furniture is older and showing some wear, and sofa not that comfy but the beds were good. The dock outside is great lots of fishing, at night there is dock lighting, bring bug spray the florida noseeums are crazy. There is no covering outside but we had easy up tent which was nice to get out of the florida sun. We grilled out every night except when it rained no grill covering area. location is in a residential so you can go out for walks or bike rides. You will need a car but everything is within 15-20 minutes in either direction. We were notified by email of places that were open for Thanksgiving, which was helpful and she had placed lots of useful info in our welcome packet, which you do have to pick up at manager's office but it's only minutes away. We look forward to booking this place again soon.

Great location. Needs work

We loved the location of the property. Central to the Florida Keys and on the Gulf of Mexico. Wonderful views and quaint little place. However, there were a LOT of little issues that add up to frustration. In the kitchen. The base of the faucet leaked, and we had aunts that came out from behind the countertop because it is not caulked. Also, I tried using the refrigerated filter water, but the filter needs to be changed so the water from the refrigerator tasted awful. The sunroom was nice, and we wanted to use it in the evening because some nights the bugs came out, but none of the windows would open. Also, there were a variety of outside toys to use but some of the items were broken. For example, 1 of the beach umbrellas was broken. Why not throw items away that are broken so they don't clutter up the sunroom. The sunroom door sticks. The outlet immediately outside the patio door did not work. In the bathrooms there were light bulbs burnt out and we had to buy one to put in the light over the sink, in the small bathroom. The toilet mount in the small bathroom was loose. There were also no towel holders for larger towels. The cold-water handle in the large bathroom needed to be tightened. When pushing it to off it would just keep turning. We only had one washcloth for 4 people, for the week. We could have used more towels and kept having to do laundry to wash them, (and the washcloth). The bedrooms were nice, but the majority of the wooden blinds were broken and needed to be open 1 by 1. The queen bed was terribly uncomfortable, which led to daily back pain. I am slowly recovering since returning. The mattresses were placed on a piece of wood or plywood so when I moved there was clunking from the plywood shifting. Outside was a beautiful view and a nice boat dock. However, there was garbage strewn throughout the property that we picked up, so we didn't have to look at it all week. There is no light by the dock steps and all the solar lights were broken therefore we needed to tread carefully when using the dock at night. There are lights that can be turned on for the end of the dock, but we didn't always want those on, and they are not near the dock step. Some of the boards on the dock seem to be splintering/crumbling. We had a wonderful time as we did not sit at the property every day, but all those little things added up and caused daily frustration. We would not go back to this property because of these issues but did love the location.

Fantastic location, budget property

It's a fantastic location and the wildlife at the dock could be its own vacation destination. The house itself is VERY worn and dated. It has all the basic necessities, but that's about it. All the storage of outdoor things like bait and fishing gear and swim gear are all inside the house in the inside porch. The living room couch falls in from overuse. There is no shaded outdoor space which can is really needed in the Keys. And the reflection of sun off all the white gravel creates a super heated space around the house - there is no shade at all. But you cannot beat the price for Morton Street. Just know what you're getting.

2022 Fall Break

Our overall experience was not bad but we did have a few issues with our stay. We loved the location of the house/cottage it was in a very low key quite area which is what we like. The dock was very nice we actually had our best snorkeling experience just off the left side of the dock. Our biggest issues came from the outdated inside and dirty floors. As we entered the house we noticed several dead millipedes and a lot of dead flies laying on the floor. We also had issues with ants and some type of tiny bugs around the sinks. You couldn't leave anything out or these tiny bugs got all over your toothbrush and things. Everything in this house was very outdated and old or falling apart. Both dressers in both bedrooms were broke, vanity in front bathroom was falling apart, all the tables and end tables the tops were pealing off. I don't want to sound all negative but this was probably the worst property we have ever stayed at on VRBO. Location 5 star but inside of house 3 star at best.

It really is overpriced

Honestly it was a nice place but between odd check-in and out times it really was frustrating. Both sets of back doors DO NOT LOCK. I felt anxious leaving the house for any amount of time and this has clearly been voiced in someone else’s review of here. The dock was nice it’s weird there’s only fish near the dock not anywhere else full of upside down jelly fish so prepare to get stung entering the water from anywhere other than a boat. For 4K it was not worth it for a week. This place should be no more than 2500 after taxes. 3 stars flat. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. It’s a huge hassle picking up and returning the key to the house as well. Checkout is early and abruptly ends the day. The house cleaners came in 20 minutes before checkout and rushed me out. Too much money for what it is. Next time I’m staying at a hotel as I won’t be given 30 responsibilities before I check out. Very strict rules for paying over 4 grand.

Amazing views and location! Private!

We loved the privacy of this property with the landscaping on both sides acting as a privacy fence. The dock was amazing. We saw sharks, rays, dolphins and many other fish from the dock. I also caught quite a few fish from the dock, which was fun. The interior was a little dated in some places, but it was very clean and in very good condition (just retro!). All the utensils and appliances we would want were provided in the kitchen. My only suggestion would be that it would be nice to be able to leave the keys at the property upon checkout instead of having to drive them to the real estate office. I would highly recommend this property! Will stay here again!

Amazing!!

We had two couples and my two children and this place was amazing! Nice quiet street for evening walks, the house in my opinion was a perfect place to wind down after sight seeing all day. The location was a perfect spot right in the middle to see both ends of the keys. Also I can't say enough about the dock!! So much sea life in the mornings. We had sting rays, nurse sharks, turtles, dolphins, a million different small fish, and one morning there was even a gator just off the end of the dock. AMAZING PLACE!! Thank you

We had a wonderful quiet vacation at this property. You’ll definitely need a car - it’s in residential neighborhood with a beautiful view and everything you need for relaxing by the water.

Quiet, Secluded, Private, Exactly what we were looking for

This house was clean, comfy and with the private dock, it was perfect to drink coffee and watch sunsets. The rooms were big, the beds were comfy, the kitchen is nice. It was in a great neighborhood with plenty to do close by. We caught fresh fish and had local restaurants cook it daily, that's tough to improve upon. I only have 1 complaint and that would be the rear doors leading out to the backyard of the kitchen. They don't really ever lock; you can wiggle the locks around and get it to kind of lock the bottom of the doors but there is some sort of rod system that is supposed to lock the top and bottom. We never got it to work and it wasn't locked when we arrived.
