The home features a lovely kitchen, with large island and bar seating, a charming living room, with adjacent dining nook, a mini-split a/c and heater unit, a Smart TV for streaming, an ensuite main bedroom and bath, and high-speed, fiber internet. Relax on the sprawling back deck with barbecue (seasonal), featuring exquisite garden views. Enjoy Dover City Beach, and DISH at Dover Bay restaurant, less than a mile away, nearby skiing, beaches, lake activities, hiking, biking trails, and all-around fun! One well-trained, pup, or two small pups, permitted. Home is being refurnished; updated photos coming soon!

Perfect spot for relaxation

Loved our stay here, my husband and I, our 14 year old and our dog. The fenced yard is perfect for the dog! Sitting on the back porch is a slice of heaven loved our time in this gem!

Great house and communitcation from host

The house was clean and well stocked, had a great area to relax out back and the host was quick to respond. Will definitely look to book again next time we are in Sandpoint.

Lovely stay in Dover

My wife and I spent a week in the Sandpoint to be with our son. The cottage had everything you’d possibly need and the accommodations were very comfortable. Val was most responsive to our requests. We definitely would stay there again.

Great location with peaceful yard

Loved the location of this property! Close to walking trails and only a 10 min walk to nearby beach. Perfect to walk with my kid and service dog. Val was helpful and responsive to all inquiries. Great stay for my family for a week.

Great stay in Dover

The house is clean, open and inviting. We loved the AC during the heat. The yard is large a private. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed, we ate most meals at the house during our 9 night stay. We would stay here again!

Dover delight

This well-appointed Dover home was just perfect for the two of us and our little fur-friend. We made use of the full kitchen and the large grill out back. Will definitely stay here again; can't beat the price or the location.

Wonderful house with a great yard

Val is a fantastic host. The house is beautifully in appointed with everything you need. Wonderful walking area close to Dover beach. Close enough to everything, restaurants, food stores and downtown Sandpoint, but far enough away for privacy.

Very nice and comfortable.

Stayed at this cute home for 2 weeks and wish we could have extended longer. Home was well appointed, comfortable and clean. Would rent again. Property manager was friendly, quick to respond and very accommodating.

Adorable Home in Dover Bay!

This home was adorable and perfect for visiting my parents over the holiday break. It's been a light winter in north Idaho which meant we got to enjoy how close this home was to the water by taking a morning stroll down to the shore. Very easy to find and so close to Sandpoint. More than enough linens and house supplies plus the kitchen had plenty of appliances and dishware, which made cooking and enjoying meals together a breeze. Owners were quick to respond and great communicators. We would happily come back and stay again!

Nice House in Quiet Neighborhood

We enjoyed our lengthy stay at this cute house in Dover. Large kitchen, bedroom and living room make for comfortable living. Kitchen is well appointed, with large kitchen island. House is situated close to Dover neighborhood's walking path and great waterfront restaurant, Dish. The host, Valerie was easy to work with and was in communication with us during the few snow storms we had during our stay to make sure our driveway was properly plowed out afterwards. She was one of the best hosts we have ever dealt with in our many stays we have had using VRBO. We have always stayed in downtown Sandpoint during our previous visits, but the serenity of Dover is refreshing.

Safety idea

When we arrived home was unlocked and passcode is house address twice. Seems very easy to figure out and recommend one a bit more unique. Also code should be changed between guests if it is not. Otherwise, very happy. :)

Michael, I am so glad you were happy with your stay. And thank you for leaving the house so clean! I'm so sorry you didn't bring your concern about the code to my attention. I am able to change it remotely and I would have been more than happy to do so. I have used different codes and I try to pick ones that will be fairly easy for guests to remember. I will be sure to let any future guests know, when we rent again, that we can adjust the code that we pick for them if they would like. Beautifully updated home in Dover ID

This property was super clean and looks newly remodeled inside. All modern amenities. It was perfect for my husband and my needs. Wonderful large fenced yard with views of the mountains. Lovely connecting neighborhoods for peaceful walks to the lake. Nice covered back deck with comfy seating and barbecue. Soft sheets, blankets, and towels. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of room and very nice dishes. Basic supplies like salt, pepper, oil, tinfoil, baggies, paper towel, toilet paper, etc. We wouldn’t expect more in this new Covid environment so we brought all else we needed. Do bring your own body soap and shampoos as those aren’t provided. The host was so responsive and kind. Loved the fireplace which heats the whole living area. I’d highly recommend this property.

Simply Wonderful!

My husband, sister and brother in law came to town for a wedding. This home is absolutely perfect. The property was lovely and well kept. The home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi and I called Val and she immediately called to have it taken care of. I highly recommend this property. We had an amazing time. Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful home!

5th stay.

This is the 5th time we have spent a month or more in the Sandpoint area. Overall this was the best. The interior has recently been completely updated. Top of the line appliances included. Immediate response from the owner on any question.

Beautiful house and charming yard. Clean. Good communication with owner. Gave low score because they are watching you with cameras. Maybe fine for some but was weird and intrusive for my family. Left early.

Perfect ski weekend!

Perfect size and location for a long weekend skiing at Schweitzer! Nice private space with a big yard and a lovely big waterfront park in the neighborhood. Easy to make trips to Sandpoint for groceries!

Ski Weekend

We had a great stay at this home in Dover. It is a short, easy drive to the ski resort and near multiple restaurants in Sandpoint. Kitchen was well stocked. House is very nicely updated. Val was very receptive and a great communicator, and helped us navigate an issue which she fixed very quickly. We would stay again!

Thank you Natalie for your kind review. You are welcome back anytime. I am using your review to respond to the review from Steven S., because he reviewed us through Expedia, and it does not show up for us to respond in VRBO (though the review shows up on the VRBO site). Due to the fact we spend much time out of state, for security we have a single Ring Doorbell Cam (it is mentioned in our profile). There are no other indoor or outdoor cameras and we do not monitor our guests. Mr. S, who said he was due to arrive at 8 p.m. showed up at 5 p.m., which triggered the Door Cam. Not expecting anyone at this time, we looked and saw it was Mr. S with two LARGE dogs. Mr. S did not tell us he wished to bring any pets, he did not pay any pet fee, he did not sign the pet addendum, and he signed our contract and policies which indicate that only one pet under 10 pounds is permitted at this property. We contacted Mr. S and graciously asked him to sign a pet addendum and pay a per pet fee. We also asked him to crate his dogs if it was determined they were scratching our wood floors. Mr. S apparently felt that our discovery of the violation was "intrusive" and decided to leave, asking for a refund for the remainder of his stay, which we gave him. He then left a review stating that we have cameras, with an S, which may give a wrong impression and that we are monitoring guests, which we are not. If any guest does not want the safety of the Ring Doorbell Camera during their stay, it is as simple as putting a piece of tape over it. We do not have any policy against this, provided they remove it at the time of their departure.

I loved Dover and my home here from the first time I saw them. The home is beautifully updated, cozy and quaint with easy maintenance and it has a sprawling backyard which is rare in Dover. The home backs up to the Dover Bay community, yet is free from their CC&Rs and HOA. It is within walking distance to beautiful Dover City Beach, which rivals any private beach.
