Just what we were looking for: bay right outside bedroom windows, rocky shoreline, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Caretakers were helpful and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again

The property is beautiful in a very quiet and secluded location. Views of the water from the unit are spectacular. The property is a fair distance away from Portland but that was clear by the location map on the VRBO web page. Not a problem, just something to be aware of. Upon arrival in early fall, the gas fireplace was on, making for a very welcoming experience. Make sure to visit the Potts Harbor Preserve just down the road.

Check-in was super easy and communication was excellent! The cottage was super clean and well appointed with everything you need to cook/bathe/sleep. The view is to die for!! I can’t say enough about how gorgeous the views are both from the cottage and from the beach in front of it. I’ll be sorting my pictures for weeks I’m sure! If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with gorgeous sunset views, this cottage is perfect. The only “negative” for us was the location. It is pretty out there and took quite some time to get to restaurants and stores and such. So if you’re looking for nightlife and going out, this is not the place. But if you are looking for gorgeous and peaceful views you have found the spot!!

Gorgeous, peaceful location. Enjoyed the beautiful sunset, having the windows open, and had to laugh that having a full moon actually woke us up because it was so bright once it also sets.

Eat nearby at Erica’s! (Closes for the season Oct 13)
We drove over to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (about 90 min away but one that you can actually enter the lighthouse)

Charming cottage in a spectacular location. Just a short walk to Potts Point Preserve and a lovely neighborhood for a stroll. Perfect for unwinding, but also close to lots of other fun places to explore. The view from the bedrooms can't be beat.

We found this place and booked it right away. We are on a 5 state visit for college tours and we also wanted to have a stay that made us feel like we are on vacation and we definitely felt like we were. Beautiful views and location.

Heavenly Harbor

Accommodations were clean, well maintained and appointed with everything we needed. Barbara and Ed were hospitable and helpful. We were looking for a relaxing coastal retreat, and found it in this seaside bungalow. We’re already planning for when we can return. Thank you for a lovely vacation.

Quiet and beautiful

For our girls trip to Maine, we chose this quaint rental. It was very clean, thoroughly stocked, and just what we were hoping for. The views out of all the bedroom windows were absolutely beautiful. Wonderful stay and beautiful location!

We loved our stay here and just wish we could have been able to enjoy the house and location more. We were very busy at a Bowdoin reunion but appreciated the peaceful stay at this house when we needed to relax and sleep! We would love to go back to this beautiful spot!

Breathtaking

The bungalow was surprisingly spacious and provided the perfect getaway. There is beauty everywhere that you look. Walking to the end of the island with my morning coffee was a highlight of the trip for me. If you're looking for peace and serenity this is your spot.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay

Peaceful oasis

Absolutely gorgeous and peaceful place with little interaction with people, yet you're among a community. Stunning views and such great coziness. A true delight. A perfect getaway for a quiet, restful weekend. Has everything you need. Felt really safe here and welcomed. Everyone was friendly. Seriously one of a kind. Kind of hate leaving such a great review because now the secret is out!

As a child this beautiful Maine home was owned by my grandparents. Grandpa built a separate unit, which is now what we refer to as our Bungalow, so that all of his grandchildren and their families could enjoy the vacation home and he and Grandma could still keep their sanity! Growing up in this house made it a part of me, the sights and smells of the ocean, and the memories attached to them. So, in 2008, when the second generation needed to sell it, my husband and I bought it in order to maintain the family traditions.
The grandchildren are all grown now, some with grandchildren of their own but the traditions will carry on. We hope you can make some memories too, and enjoy this beautiful spot just as we do.
