Perched on the shores of the New Meadows rests Sea Chaser Cottage, a lovely two bedroom, one bathroom home with beautiful easterly water views. Offering an expansive deck and stairs to a new dock, ramp and float, this is the perfect cottage for those drawn to the sea.

Inside the cottage, you will find an open kitchen, living, and dining area, a master bedroom with a queen bed and ocean views, a second bedroom with two twins, and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The beautiful post and beam style, cathedral ceilings, and many skylights create open, naturally sunlit living spaces that paired with comfortable furnishings, makes this cottage the perfect seaside retreat.

Located just off the beaten path in Brunswick, you will love the peaceful setting, while being just 5 minutes from all Brunswick has to offer, including a great variety of restaurants, shops, and pubs, several grocery stores, and easy access to coastal RT 1 and I-295 for day trips to Freeport, Portland, Bath, Boothbay Harbor and more.

Beautiful, quiet place. We didn’t do much cooking during our short stay, but it appeared to have everything needed. Management was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

Location was perfection! Beds and bedding were excellent. Wish we had known we had to bring water with us. I bought a Brita filter and then had to return who bring water in. Loved the cabin vibe!

Hard to believe you are only 5-10 minutes from shops. Nicely furnished with high ceilings. We enjoyed quiet time and meals on the roomy deck with its pleasant view of the New Meadows River and its occassional boat traffic. Did not use the long elaborate stair/ramp to the floating dock. Because of quick access to Route 1 we did more day trips than other years - to flea markets, Bath, Reid State Park, Damariscotta, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and on up the coast. Also less than an hour to Portland. Property managment was responsive and helpful.

Tranquil Hideaway by The Shore

This cottage is romantic and peaceful. The breeze through the trees while on the deck overlooking the water and dock are all very calming. The inside has space to relax, dine, and sleep deeply at night. Very nice towels and linens. Well insulated construction. Close to town yet feels secluded. Others have mentioned the tap water is brackish. Bring filtered or spring water to use during your stay.

An Amazing Spot by the Sea to Explore the MidCoast Region From!

A small kitchen has all the essentials, and we mostly stuck to the grill. An amazing view, and our family loved the fact that Thomas Point Beach was 3 minutes away for the beach, kayak rentals, and disc golf.Overall a great place to stay for a family of four, any more than that and the space would seem cramped I think. Also, of note but not a big deal was the hard water has a definite odor, and bottle water is recommended!

Perfect vacation

We had an amazing time at Sea Chaser cottage. Enjoyed watching the sunrise, eagles flying by and the lobster fisherman hauling in traps - all from the deck. We rented kayaks from SeaSpray and enjoyed exploring the little islands just to the South. Had great meals at Wild Oats, Dolphins and Cooks. Also did some college tours at Bowdoin and Colby. Thank you for a great stay!!!

New fun on the New Meadows !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was immediately drawn to this cottage when I saw it's location on the New Meadows River about 5 minutes from Brunswick. I was fortunate to visit for many years the home which my parents built in the 1980's just a quarter mile south in the 1980's. I remembered how scenic and serene the area was. It has remained so! Julie and I found the cottage to be well located on the waterfront with marvelous views, a dock and float which appear to be recent construction. The access to this dock area is a steep stairway and potential renters should consider their mobility level accordingly. The cottage is a delightful combination of classic Maine knotty pine vibe with fairly recent renovation while retaining that feel. It is in splendid repair. Julie and I prefer early June visits to avoid the tourist crush of July and August. The location is sparsely populated along this road and as such it is wonderfully quiet and serene!! The Mainestay property management folks are really 5 star customer service professionals - so helpful in every way. I encourage them to alert renters planning their trip to be aware the GPS link of the cottage location on this listing is NOT accurate. Chase Ln. must be accessed by turning off Woodward Point Rd onto Pine Ledge, not the next turnoff indicated which is Oyster Ledge Ln. We would love to return again next year !!

Very relaxing days

We loved the property. The views are exceptional. We were able to see a beautiful fox, all kinds of birds, lots of cute chipmunks. We enjoyed being close to nature great break from the big city. The cottage is very comfortable, and it has all you need to feel like home. The location is perfect we. it's away from town but not too much that we were able to drive around to restaurants and stores as well as short distance to other little towns. We had a great time.

Won’t Stay Again

Cons - step in to home is real soft. It’s not going to last much longer. Furniture in living room is old. They sit low so is difficult to get up. They have comcast tv but access to only a few stations. Not great on rainy days. Mainestay said checkout is 10 and you can’t go in until 4 for cleaning. The place wasn’t very clean with spiders in the corners of the room, cobwebs throughout and layers of dust on the pictures and ceiling fans. Views would be improved if trees were trimmed on each side of the place. Have to make your bed when you arrive and strip it when you leave. Tried communicating with Mainstay about an issue previous to paying for the rental fully with no response. I feel we paid too much money for what we got.

Quiet getaway

The cottage is located on a quiet road, but close to town. It is all on one level and very cozy. The deck over looking the water is a relaxing place to sit. We enjoyed a couple of beautiful sunrises. We would definitely stay here again.
