Secluded log cabin w/ hot tub and wood burning fireplace near West Jefferson

A true log cabin with long range views of the Appalachian Mountains. Tucked in the middle of the woods, high above Helton Creek, this cabin is extremely private and secluded from it all.

This two story cabin has three separate bedrooms, fully stocked with bedding, blankets and all you will need for a restful retreat. The cozy living room is centered around a wood burning fireplace and adjoins a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook. Windows from the living room allow for mountain views from both spaces.

Spend time taking in the views from the front porch rocking chairs or soak in the relaxation from a hot tub under the stars.

Your perfect getaway for hiking, fishing, 4 wheeling and more. You will feel a thousand miles away from it all but are only a short distance from Lansing, and Downtown West Jefferson.

Check out shopping and dining in both downtown West Jefferson and Lansing.

Fly fish in the regularly stocked Helton Creek, well-known for its delayed harvest. Hike the famous Appalachian Trail and take your picture the wild ponies at Grayson Highland State Park.

Everything was great, except there were no toiletries in the bathroom. If we hadn’t brought our own shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, we would have been out of luck.

Outstanding property, very clean and cozy. Short drive to the Grayson Highland State Park and Lansing area. We visited some of the local small businesses; I hope they continue to recover from the storm last year. The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very likely to return again in the future!

This was our third visit to this private, secluded, well equipped cabin in beautiful Ashe County, North Carolina. We enjoyed the clean, cozy rooms; the abundant supply of wood for the campfire and the cabin’s fireplace; the hot tub; and the stunning autumnal view from the front porch. We visited nearby Mount Jefferson State Park, West Jefferson, the Old Orchard General Store and Farmers Market in Lansing; and enjoyed two outstanding gourmet meals at the River House Inn, located just 4.5 miles from the cabin. Another unforgettable mountain retreat in this gem of a cabin!

Beautiful location and pretty easy to get to (though could see it being a little more difficultin snow season). The cabin was well appointed, clean, and a perfect place for a staycation of sorts for us and our four legged friends.We enjoyed the hot tub, the views from the property, and a nice relaxing weekend away after a couple months of ridiculous amounts of work!We commented several times how nice it was to not even hear traffic or airplanes during all the time we spent outside!Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away!

We had a lovely stay at Helton Creek Cabin. The space was cozy, quiet, and comfortable and there were soft blankets everywhere. It’s a lovely choice if you’re looking for a secluded cabin with a great view.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views of the valley from the cabin are really good. Perfect for a family or a small group. Pets are allowed so that was a plus. It's secluded and away from the crowds.

Front Porch sitting!!

This cabin was very special. The location and view was spectacular. The hot tub location was perfect. We watched distant lightning storms above the mountains from the porch all night. Would definitely come back.

Perfect getaway!

My husband and I stayed two nights in the cabin while in the area for the Grayson Highlands 50-mile trail race. The cabin was so cute and cozy, clean, just as pictured. Incredible mountain views from the front porch and the hot tub, both of which proved key to my recovery the following morning! We cannot have had a more pleasant day, and would return here in a heartbeat when able. Such a gem. Thanks to the hosts for making it available.

Quick Family Trip

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! We only had a couple of nights this time, but wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin is very private and our dogs and kids lived the freedom. We enjoyed all the the cabin and property offered and spent hours rocking on the porch enjoying the view and quiet. It’s a great place!

Beautiful view!

This place is totally remote with a gorgeous view. We had a lovely time hanging out in the jacuzzi and by the fire pit. It was so relaxing! The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable.
