Originally a log cabin , Colorado Mountain home, was build in 1962. The house has been renovated into a Western Slope base camp!

Cozy home in downtown New Castle, 13 miles from Glenwood Springs. A family friendly (dogs too), one story, home at the end of the street. Walk to restaurants, coffee and parks. An easy drive to all the activities of the Western Slope.

WALK:
- EAT Bistro: Unique upscale cuisine and creative cocktails. Right down the street!
- Colorado Drifters: coffee bar and fly shop. Fishing guide service and paddle board rental. Rotating live music calendar.
- Hog Back Pizza: wood fired pizza and calzones. Great outdoor seating!
- 88 Grill: American food. Great burgers and salads. Live music on some weekend nights!

Lots of additional dining and activities a short drive away:
- Ski Sunlight Mountain Resort: 25 miles
- Soak, play and dine in Glenwood Springs: 13 miles
- Climb Rifle Mountain Park:19 miles
- Fish the Colorado River: Multiple nearby access points

Please park vehicles in the drive way. Our neighbors have very limited street parking. Our drive way is large and can accommodate multiple vehicles.
Pets must be disclosed when reserving the house. Only 2 pets allowed with $100 fee per stay. Pets are not to be left unattended unless crated.
Very peaceful neighborhood, no parties or events allowed. Please respect the neighbors :)

Very clean, well kept home. Beds were comfortable with nice linens. Kitchen was well equipped and surpassed our needs. Well written property guide, including lots of information on area. Host was very responsive with help accessing the property. We felt very welcome and comfortable and would definitely stay here again!!

The home was as- advertised and super close to a great restaurant Pig and Duck that we checked out. The host was very responsive, great place for a ski trip to Aspen or Sunlight!

Great Stay in New Castle

Great stay, place was quiet, clean and convenient to walks, hikes and to other driveable areas such as Rifle or Glenwood Springs. Kathryn, the host, was very responsive if and when needed. Would stay again!

Great location and cute house

This house was a good dog-friendly option. The downtown of New Castle is really cute and there are lots of trails nearby, within walking distance. Quiet neighborhood, comfy beds, had everything we needed.

Great place

We have stayed at other rentals but this place was great. Very close to Glenwood Springs pool and restaurants. We stayed at the house for 3 nights and it was very clean and easy check in and check out. The manager was really nice and helpful. We really liked it and encourage others to stay here.

Family visit

Our son and his family live in New Castle, so this property was perfect for our visit from Pennsylvania. The home is nicely laid out and the amenities provided went above and beyond some other properties we have stsyed at. We will certainly consider staying there again.

Lovely home

This home was perfectly situated to allow for my family to enjoy our Colorado adventures. We traveled all over the area from Glenwood Springs to Moab to Telluride and this was the perfect location. The home was clean, neat, and our host was available if we needed anything. I am ready to go back!

Fun family trip

We came to Colorado for a family vacation. The house was comfortable , extremely clean and convenient to all things planned in the Glenwood springs area. The house had everything we needed to prepare meals at night after a long day of activities. The beds are amazing too! We. Would return again! A gem of a house!

It is a gem!

This adorable property has my favorite thing -a moss rock fireplace. Such a functional space with 3 bedrooms and two baths. Great outdoor space and open concept living area. Beautifully updated. Great location for golfing at Lakota Links. Loved being able to walk to New Castle shops/restaurants. Owners have thought of everything. Truly a gem!
