Little Bear Lodge...feels like home but with a view worthy of your eyes!
Just off hwy 76, short drive up the ridge on a paved road wide enough for 2 vehicles, no switchbacks and parking for 4 to 5 vehicles.
Great open floorplan and views that will please your eyes! JUST TO VERIFY...ALL THE PICTURES OF THE VIEW ARE FROM EITHER THE BACK COVERED PORCH OR THE FRONT DECK...Very homey feel that offers comfortable cozy atmosphere but with a large open floorplan so all can be together at the same time. Whole house accommodates up to 10. There are 4 bedrooms with 2-Kings, 2- Queens and set of- bunk beds in common area, lower level.
Main level can accommodate up to 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in case you don't need the full house...inquire for a reduced rate.
Please include in request if bringing a pet as there is a $100 pet fee per stay, 2 dogs max. No cats permitted due to allergies.
Exterior of home has video surveillance .
Please check fire hazard status for area before using fire pit on lower level of property. So many of our guests come back again and love the layout, cozy feel and the location is great!

Christmas with the kids

Plenty of room for 10 adults and two 3 year olds. We had a great time. Location is reasonably close to everything you need and everything want to do. Our host was very helpful.

Excellent accommodations! They had everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. Love this location. Owner was easy to talk to when we had a question.

Amazing cabin, plenty of room to spread out, great view

We really enjoyed our time in the cabin. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is amazing. Every necessity for our stay was provided. Will likely book again if I have the chance.

Wonderful

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It was perfect for our family of 11. Everything we needed was there. We fell in love with the area and will definitely be back.

Thanksgiving in the Mountain

Beautiful home with exquisite views! The beds are comfortable with high end linens and blankets. Very well appointed and they have everything you need for cooking a big family meal. We should have stayed longer, we definitely will be back. Hiawassee is a charming mountain town. Kathy

Little Bear Lodge

Great view from the balcony. Grill needs an update, but loved that it was charcoal and not gas. Clean and spacious. We will book again. Just need to learn how to use that Roku thing! Thanks for a great stay. gde

Amazing Views and Convenience

We so enjoyed our Labor Day Weekend at Little Bear Lodge. This is one of the most beautiful views we have had in North Georgia. Stayed on the porch often and long just taking it in. Also very convenient to Blairsville, Hiawassee and Hayesville, NC. The cabin is on a paved road with ample parking It was fully stocked for cooking and a great cabin. Hope we spend more time here!

Backyard View Bliss

Thank you for a wonderful stay with my best friends for my 50th bday. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching sunrises and walking the neighborhood to catch incredible sunsets from across the street. Plenty of space for a larger group to eat, drink, relax and laugh. Beds were comfortable! Neighbors are close yet friendly and parking 2 SUVs easy.

Lovely property in a beautiful setting

All 8 of us commented on how aptly-named Little Bear Lodge is named with its cute bear-themed decor. The space was perfect for having our younger generation on the bottom floor, which included their own living area with games and toys. We all loved the lodge’s gorgeous view from the back deck. Owner,Terry, was pleasantly responsive throughout my VRBO process before and throughout our stay. We were in Young Harris for a wedding, had time to visit local gems of Brasstown Bald and Cupid Falls. I strongly recommend this northern Georgia retreat.

Wow! The closest to Heaven you can get while still breathing!

Spacious beautiful home that is less than 5 minutes from restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. My wife really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, and I mean everything was there. Enough beds for 10 people and a large family room for eating meals and playing board games (with a large selection provided) A huge deck with gas fire pit offering the best views I have seen in my life. TV’s everywhere, but with my entire family there, no time for that. The bedrooms were so nice with shades that kept room dark until you were ready to get up. My 12 and 14 year old grandkids loved riding bikes on the street. The only traffic being neighbours that were friendly enough to stop and talk. I wish I could have extended our five night stay to ,say, 365 nights.😁

Best Thanksgiving Ever!

The kitchen was well equipped for fixing a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings! We so much enjoyed the gas firepit on the back porch & had S'mores one night! The neighborhood was quiet & peaceful, and the VIEW was EXCEPTIONAL!! There was adequate wood for a fire in the fireplace & the whole house was well stocked. Our family totally enjoyed our time there and will contemplate another stay, I'm sure. The owner was very attentive & easy to reach by text. Thank you Terry & Lorrie!!

Amazing property

Perfect location to the marina. Gorgeous Mountain View. Our college age and teen children had their own space in the lower level. Perfect property would stay again! Highly recommend!

Perfect Family Cabin

We had an amazing time creating many memories at Little Bear Cabin. The porch and view are perfect and we had everything we needed to have the perfect family vacay! Our hosts are amazing and have thought of everything! Thank you for a great time!

Beautiful View

Our extended family had a wonderful time staying in Little Bear Cabin. The views of Lake Chatuge from the balcony are breathtaking, and across the street is a perfect spot to see the sunset over the mountains. The cabin was clean, comfortable, well-furnished, and decorated with care. We enjoyed playing games, watching movies, and cooking in the well-stocked kitchen. Each member of our family found their bed comfortable, and we appreciated the fact that the drive up the mountain was fully paved. The towns of Young Harris and Hiawassee are only a short drive away and have large grocery stores and a farmers market with fresh local produce. Nearby we also found beautiful forest trails with gorgeous scenery, flowers and a waterfall. The owners were easy to communicate with, and all of the neighbors we met were extremely friendly. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway!

Lifelong Florida residents that decided to buy a home in the North Georgia Mountains so we could escape the Florida heat and humidity. Found this awesome place with a view that is spectacular and decided to share this home with others to enjoy as much as we do. We will eventually move here but till then sharing with others that love the mountains, clean fresh air and the brisk temperatures this area has almost year round.

Once you stay here and experience the quaint small towns that are all around it with so many things to do like hiking, waterfall ventures, Parks, wineries and so much more you will become a North Georgia fan for life!
Little Bear Lodge offers such a cozy home feel but with an open floorplan and enough room for everybody to be together either on the large covered back deck enjoying the view or in the large Family Room in front of the fire place. We had a custom built farmhouse dinning table made just for those dinners together to remember. We hate to leave this place everytime we go. Weve had many guests just stay at the place for the whole time there because it is so comfortable.
