Welcome to your place in the desert sun of Palm Springs, THE OLIVE HOUSE, designed by the late Architect Jack Meiselman with indoor-outdoor living in a home with post and beam construction, sleek lines, and walls of glass. The home is centrally located close to Palm Springs. It has fast WIFI and workspaces. It has a large private yard, pool and spa.

The Olive House provides an upscale getaway experience. It's in the Sunmor section, a well-known central Palm Springs neighborhood comprised of a remarkably intact collection of mid-century modern homes built in the late 1950's and early 1960's. It's designed to create a dream desert oasis where the inside meets the outside. The home was decorated with a mid-century vibe and boasts numerous amenities, including a sparkling large pool, large spa, BBQ grill, outdoor fire pit, manicured lawn, citrus trees, incredible mountain views and much more! Just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs, you will have easy access to world-renowned shops, restaurants and entertainment. Experience real comfort and luxury! The stunning interior features ceramic white tile flooring throughout with indoor-outdoor living from a large open living-dining area with decorative fireplace. Don’t forget about the gorgeous kitchen and pantry stocked with all the necessary culinary items. Plus, the oil paintings and artwork throughout the house are tribute to modernism, Coachella Valley and mid-century era! The house features a large primary bedroom with a king size bed, desk, sitting area, a walk-in closet and the tiled bathroom with multiple showering options and floor to ceiling glass. The large back bedroom has a queen size bed, desk, walk-in closet and sitting area with access to the backyard. The third bedroom has a queen bed, full closet and access via slider to the pool area. Each bedroom has its own flat screen smart TV, bathrobes and pool towels. The Olive House is also close to tennis courts, hiking/bicycling trails, golf courses and you can take walks in different neighborhoods with so many amazing mid-century homes!

Early check-in and late check-out requests are $50 for up to an hour on a case-by-case basis if available.

Palm Springs getaway

The Mid Century Oasis was exactly that -a very chic, well furnished and superbly outfitted house from the glory days of Palm Springs. Super clean. The pool, spa and grounds were meticulously groomed. The house is convenient to the airport and Old Palm Springs. Perfect for 3 day getaway.

Great home with dream yard

The home itself was perfect. Beautifully decorated. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen and baths were well appointed. Yard, pool, and spa were pristine. The home is on a busy road and car noise can be heard. However, we forgot about the noise once we settled in. We loved our time here and would absolutely return.

Peaceful and serene Palm Springs getaway

This modern, well appointed and classy home just 8 minutes by car to downtown Palm Springs was just what we needed. I spent much time in the pool and lounging beside it, watching hummingbirds in the citrus trees, listening to mockingbirds, and smelling the orange blossoms. The kitchen was great, had everything we needed. The beds were firm, walk in showers were clean and spacious, the washer and dryer convenient. We loved being able to watch Netflix and had an occasional night swim in the heated pool. And we actually appreciated the “no outdoor music/noise” rule, as it kept things peaceful outside for real relaxation. Would stay at this beautiful, comfortable home again!

Midcentury modern

Beautiful, clean, well furnished home. Large rooms, well supplied kitchen. Expansive, manicured yard with plenty of outdoor seating spaces. Owners and local management were exceptionally responsive and kind. The only distraction was the proximity to the airport; handy for flying in or out, but right in the flight path.

What a fresh and fun home

A wonderfully serene yard with pool, spa, citrus trees and visiting neighboutlrhood cats greet you in this lovely PS property. A beautifully modern kitchen allows you to enjoy your time to the fullest.

Paradise in the desert

Absolutely fabulous stay! We go to PSP every year and this is one is one of the best - Hands down the nicest outdoor area we’ve had (citrus trees! ample seating! fantastic pool!). The house is spotless and very well equipped kitchen for people who enjoy cooking as we do. Gorgeous decor makes it really feel like home. Hosts were responsive and lovely and really wanted us to have a great stay. Hope to come again soon!

We live in San Francisco and like many others, fell in love and flocked to Palm Springs for the stunning fall/winter and spring weather, amazing restaurants, unique shops, the arts and relaxing nightlife. We also appreciate Palm Springs for its concentration and preserved mid-century modern architecture which focuses on easy-living in a hot desert environment with ample sunshine. The Olive House, like the Desert Modernism is recognizable by its minimalist clean lines and the seamless indoor and outdoor space that embraces the natural environment. The house was designed and built by Jack Meiselman in 1960s. We instantly fell in love with our neighborhood, Sunmor located in central Palm Springs and minutes away from Downtown, International Airport and Palm Springs City Hall. When in Palm Springs, we enjoy playing tennis, walking, hiking and riding our bikes. There are bike and walking paths throughout the City within close proximity from the house. Palm Springs has a perfect balance of nature and sophistication which provides enjoyment and laid-back destination for anyone who wants to enjoy a desert getaway

The open concept design offers mountain views, entertaining areas, fire pit, a large pool and hot tub. The home features open beam ceilings throughout with ceramic terrazzo tile, a large living room, dining area with expanse of glass that opens to the backyard. The backyard has mature landscaping including Ficus trees, palms, manicured grass, citrus trees and various cacti throughout the front and backyard. The Olive House is in the Sunmor Estates located in central Palm Springs neighborhood comprised of a remarkably intact collection of mid-century homes.
