1096 Sparrow Pond is the closest cottage to the beach! Enjoy tranquil lagoon views and the sound of the ocean from this cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Kiawah Island cottage with a screened porch, furnished outdoor deck and gas grill, neighborhood swimming pool and easy access to miles of beautiful barrier island beaches.

The open plan living area is comfortably furnished with plenty of space for all your guests to unwind, catch up on movies on the flat screen TV and create vacation memories. The kitchen is fully-equipped with modern appliances and a quaint eat-in table with an adjoining dining table for the whole family to share meals together. Glass doors lead from the living room out to the screened porch with a table and chairs for outdoor dining and onto the large deck with a gas grill for family BBQs and alfresco dining.

1096 Sparrow Pond comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a queen bed, flat screen TV, and lovely, private bath with a walk-in shower. The second and third bedrooms have two twin beds each and share a hall bath. Both of these bedrooms have flat screen televisions as well.

Take a scenic stroll through the oaks and pines to Kiawah Island’s 10 miles of beautiful beaches, enjoy hours of family fun in the community pool and discover the best of Kiawah Island from this central location. West Beach Village is located nearest to Kiawah Island’s main gate and is situated around the Cougar Point Golf Course and Clubhouse. West Beach is Kiawah’s oldest neighborhood with meandering boardwalks, mature maritime forests and a charming, Lowcountry island vibe.

You’re an easy walk to the beach, a bike ride away from Freshfields Village, The Sanctuary Hotel, Night Heron Park and Kiawah Island’s world-class golf courses and tennis, and a short 40-minute drive to historic downtown Charleston.

Pool Access: Guests have access to the Sparrow Pond Community Pool only (Apr-Oct). Please note this property has NO resort pool access.

Beach Access: Beach access is via Boardwalks 1 and 2.

Please Note: The use of the fireplace is prohibited.

Pet Policy: This property does not allow pets.

Parking: There is parking for up to 3 cars.

Check-in instructions will be sent via email at least 10 days prior to check-in once the Rental Agreement is signed. If your stay is within 9 days, or lesser, from the time of booking, the instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Rental Agreement is signed.

Property was nice ….minus the grill which was unusable and televisions which were in and out. Super nice host however and very convenient to attractions and beach.

The location was perfect for our family. Short walk to the beach and great paths for bike riding. The private porches and screened in deck were wonderful for some quiet coffee in the mornings. We definitely recommend!

Great stay at Kiawah Island

Nice property very well equipped and right next to the Beach. Kiawah was perfect for a relaxing stay in the sea side and allowing for nice trips in the Charleston/Savannah area.

The furniture and kitchen were a bit dated, but the sofa and chairs and living space were very comfortable. We loved the location and loved the porch.

It’s been a very pleasant staying. I hope we can go back. There only minor complaint is that the cottage was not as clean as I expected, especially the outside. Besides that the location is amazing, it is fully equipped and we had anything we needed. I really recommend it!

Kiawah charmer with some quirks

Overall the property is wonderful. It was situated amongst a lagoon that almost felt jungle life and was a quick walk down a beautiful boardwalk to an expansive private beach. The house itself came well equipped with most necessities and was very cozy and comfortable. It was easy to host a dinner on a rainy night that we enjoyed tremendously on the covered back deck. A few concerns I had were with the check in process and some lack of clarity on that process. I received very easy check in instructions via email and text however neither had the real address of the property on it. I called the rental company and the woman assisting me was very rude and not helpful telling me essentially to check the instructions again before hanging up on me. I did check it again and it really was not there. I called back to confirm they weren’t in there and she gave me the address but acted as if I was putting her out. It turns out the address was on the parking pass only from the many forms/ emails that were sent to me pre-arrival. There were too many emails/ forms sent and not enough clarity amongst them. Being a rental service company it seems like standard order of business would be to be kind to your renters. It was quite a juxtaposition compared to the service I received at the hotel in Charleston we were checking out of. Additionally, I did not have a tape measure to confirm this but the primary bedroom seems to have a full size bed and not a queen as listed. It was a rough couple nights of sleep with two people who aren’t sound sleepers. The pillows were great, the mattresses were only ok. The other two rooms had twin beds so the options for sleeping weren’t great for adults but would be ideal for families. My spouse slept ok but I barely slept at all and moved into another room. The house came equipped with many little charms and upsides such as history books on the island, a high tide chart, board games and old school vhs/dvds. You feel comfortable as if you are in your grandparents house. It is a very relaxing vibe and setting and overall we had a wonderful experience in Kiawah. Expect a blast from the past which I felt was a relief from the modern day bustle if you stay at this property. We rented bikes, cooked on the grill, laid on the beach and read on the deck which allowed us to truly be able to unwind.

Superb Location

Kiawah Beach access from the cottage is a mere 3 minute walk on a short scenic boardwalk over beautiful sand dunes onto the beach. The property is also conveniently located near (5 minute walk) the Kiawah Beach West Village which serves as the starting point for the Kiawah Island Half/Full Marathon every year in December. Beach bicycles are available for rent at the West Village as well. Freshfields grocery is a mere 8 minute drive up the Island Parkway. Older beach villa design but with some updates including a new Bosch dishwasher. With an outdoor grill, a nice deck overlooking pond w/ patio furniture for the morning coffee, this 3 bedroom villa is perfect for a family of 6 .

Vacay Bliss

The property manager was very friendly and prompt. He returned phonecalls quickly and answered all questions promptly. The area was beautiful and peaceful! Will definitely be back! We came for mother's day weekend and really had an awesome stay.
