Yes, as explained at the time, there was a miscommunication between the property manager and her employee about opening the windows versus opening the window shades. As you no doubt discovered, the condo heats up in a matter of minutes, so presumably closing the windows and turning on the heat did the trick in no time. It was a simple mistake and certainly not the norm. As for the comforter, there are a couple of extra blankets in the closet that could have been used if the duvet was too heavy. As you know, I did everything I could to rectify your initial unhappiness in a timely fashion - this despite the fact that my property manager had many, many other important things to tend to given the throngs of visitors that descended on Aspen for the Christmas holiday. I said at the time and I'll say now that I'm sorry the windows were mistakenly left open and that the condo was cold as a result (you did mention the heat was on, so that should have mitigated some of the open window effects). The simple matter of closing them should have done the trick.
