Summary:
Discover The Allenhurst in Ocean Grove - your perfect beach vacation rental. Centrally located, just 2 blocks from the beach and Main Ave, it's a quick 10 min walk to Asbury Park's lively boardwalk and Cookman Ave. Experience the best of the area or enjoy cooking in your kitchen. Leave with unforgettable memories from the premier vacation destination along the Jersey Shore.

The Space:
Bright and quiet, 1st floor, Queen studio beach apartment. Located on the first floor and easily accessible from side entrance.

Guest Access:
This unit is on the 1st floor and requires 4 stairs for access. Guests will be provided with check-in instructions and a personal keycode 3 days prior to and the day of arrival. Upon check-in time, your keycode will activate. Simply enter the code into the keypad on the house front door and room door, and then press the button at the bottom of the keypad. You will need to complete this sequence before the backlight of the keypad times out.

Please message us with general questions or inquiries and we will respond within 24 hours. Existing and arriving guests that require immediate assistance should call our hotline which is included within our check-in / welcome messages and posted in our lobby. Emergent voice messages will be returned promptly by our staff.

***Please note, guests that did NOT book via Airbnb will need to complete our Rental Agreement prior to receiving their check-in instructions***

Due to our meticulous cleaning standards, early check-ins or late check-outs can only be accommodated based on our turnover schedule. With that in mind, we cannot provide approval for early check-in, in advance. If your room is ready prior to check-in, we will let you know.

The Neighborhood:
Situated in the heart of Ocean Grove, the Allenhurst offers the perfect stay with convenient access to Asbury Park. Whether you desire a peaceful dinner on Main Ave. in OG or a lively evening at the Asbury Boardwalk or downtown strip, we've got you covered! Our prime location provides unmatched access to all that makes the Jersey Shore special, as well as a mere 14-minute walk to the train station for easy travel to NYC

Getting Around:
Within walking distance, you'll find the beach, the boardwalk, live music venues, an abundance of restaurants, bars, and shops. Additionally, we are approximately half a mile away from the train station, providing easy access to NYC. Alternatively, you can opt for a 30-minute Uber ride to catch the NYC Ferry. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay is just moments away.

Other Things to Note:
Quiet hours are strictly enforced: 10PM - 8AM.

Beach passes can be purchased at a discounted rate using the QR code displayed in the lobby.

We have a strictly enforced "No Unregistered Pets" policy. We allow 1 dog (less than 30LB) per unit for an additional cleaning fee of $100.

Please be advised that interior hallways and exterior porches are monitored by video surveillance and noise monitoring systems.

Overall, the property was clean, check-in was simple, the bed was comfortable and communication with the owner was excellent. Things to consider: no outdoor area to sit and relax with a cup of coffee, parking was always a challenge, water in kitchen faucet was never cold, and the noise from people/cars in the street (early AM & later at night) was bothersome.

Perfect Accommodations !

We couldn't have asked for more ! Rented 2 apartments for a long weekend ! They were clean, comfortable, very well equipped kitchenand close to everything! The manager , Danielle, went up and beyond to make our stay pleasant and stress-free ! The owner did a fabulous job restoring this gem ! Can't wait to go back ! I highly recommend if planning a trip to Ocean Grove!

Cozy place, great location

Nice place for 1-2 people to stay in plus a pet. I enjoyed my stay as a single female with my dog and felt safe. The hosts were quick to communicate with me and address my needs. I would definitely book this place again.

We loved staying here. We could walk to restaurants, the beach, the boardwalk we did not need to move our car all weekend. You do have to find street parking, which was easy enough because there is a lot around.

Lovely property! Very close to the beach.Just the small things that were not thought through. There were no ice trays in the freezer or ice. There were only three hangers in the closet. My biggest problem was the fact that the door key code was not sent to us and I spent 45min to 1hour trying to get this key code which frustrated me tremendously. Very clean place.

Fantastic budget-friendly accommodation

This little apartment was clean, had absolutely everything I needed and the price can’t be beat for a winter stay at the Jersey Shore. As others have stated, communication is strictly through the VRBO app, but any questions or concerns I had were addressed quickly. When I discovered I hadn’t booked for the days I thought I had, the management was very attentive to helping me extend my stay.

Exceeded expectations

We were fortunate to find this gem on short notice (~2 weeks)...and being pet-friendly. The property is a convenient walk to the boardwalk/beach and the village businesses. The apartment is actually larger than the on-line photos indicate...there was ample room for 2 adults and a small dog. We highly recommend this property.

Close to beach and shopping. Very clean. Only thing is you can hear the people who are upstairs. Sometimes a bit loud. Overall good time

Little Getaway

We found this little gem last year and came back again this year. Ocean Grove is a nice quiet community but the night life of Asbury Park is within walking distance. We’ll be back next year!

This is a little apartment that was clean and tidy. It has only one cushion chair. The location is truly walkable to beach and main street. Great shower. We only had one request and it was answered right away. I gave this a 5 star rating because of the criteria. If you are expecting something upscale this is not your place. It is average. It is not as roomy as the pictures make it look.

Not somewhere I would stay again

The rooms were run down, paint chips, broken curtain rod, small ants in the kitchen and the bathroom floor were either dirty or stained. My first two days they were cleaning out apartments upstairs, so it was a continuation of banging furniture and doors and constant noise from people going up and down the stairs. Every morning throughout my stay I was awakened at 6.00am by a motorcycle outside my window.

Allenhurst

We only stayed one night instead of the planned (and paid for) week. They did not give the address for the door our access code worked. Instead of saying 38 central they only said central st—there are multiple doors. If not for a tenant we would not have been able to gain access. While not responsible for public parking they should have been more forthcoming on lack thereof and provided helpful instructions. We had to schlep quite a distance upon check in; obviously the same applied to pack out. Control over the heat rather than it being on a timer not under our control would have been better, especially in late December. The heat issue along with the drafty windows (property is an old building) made for our brief stay uncomfortable.

Heat went on intermitently - no ceiling light

The location, cleanliness and presentation was good. However there were two big issues that made the stay very uncomfortable to say the least. 1. The heat in the bedroom went on intermitently for about 2 hrs at a time making the place unbearable. There was no way to control the heat inside or outside the room. We call all the numbers available to have this resolved, nobody answered. Later we reached an answering service who was goin to report the issue to the owners but nothing was resolved 2. The bedroom had a ceiling fan which worked fine but the lights did not work. We had to use only the little lamp on the night stand to light the whole room. Very disappointed! We would not go back or recommend this place. Instead I request a refund from the owners.

Cute little getaway

This was a great place to get away to. Property is clean and easy to access. Parking is a problem. I cannot image how hard it would be to park during the summer season. You can walk down to the beach or to Main Street for little shops or dining. We chose to go to Belmar each day instead. If you are looking for a little get away, I would recommend.

Perfect location with all the amenities

The location was great, manager on-site during our stay was super friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. We are definitely staying here again.
