Renovated for 2025 - primary guest bath, have added an additional private bath to the master bedroom with a shower spa that has a "Rainfall" shower head

Perfectly named from a time when a beach vacation was relaxing.  Have a cookout on the charcoal grill with family and friends or sit out on the oceanfront deck and take in beautiful ocean views, sounds of the waves rolling onto shore, and the healing salt sea air.  Watch the kids play or the surf fisherman bring in the day's catch on the sandy shore below.  "These Are The Days" offers great opportunity to slow down and enjoy unobstructed, panoramic views of the beach, an outdoor shower, foot wash station, and the large windows on the ocean side of the home that maximize the ocean views as you relax and unwind in the living and dining areas.  Watch the sunrise over breakfast or enjoy a romantic sunset dinner.  These Are The Days is also dog friendly, so bring your furry family members and furry friends along (only dogs under 30 lbs) to have some time away too.  Close to all that Oak Island has to offer, These Are The Days will leave lasting memories year after year.

Location was awesome! You can tell it’s an older house but the bathrooms and kitchen have been upgraded. Was perfect for a quick vacation on a beautiful beach! Check-in and check-out was easy.

Our family had a wonderful weekend getaway at These Are the Days! If you want to spend time on the beach and hear the ocean, the location cannot be beat. Property as pictured and was comfortable. Dryer did not work which wasn’t a problem for our short stay, but I could see wanting it to work for a longer trip. We hope to stay here for future visits!

Enjoyable

Very convenient to the beach, only steps a way. Clean and comfy. Pictures and descriptions are very accurate. We would rent again.

Convenient place right on the beach. It had everything we needed. Gates on the porch were very helpful for our dogs.

Deceiving Photos online

The home was built in the 50’s and the decking certainly shows. Needs redone or replaced. The king mattress very hard, and thin whoosy sheets. Even though the bathrooms where remodeled in 2025, they looked lovely, however the master suite shower did not drain to the point of overflow. Could not be used. The main bath Spude'd rust water upon turning on. When we arrived the light above the sink in the master bath would not turn on. I thought I'd report it thinking it was burned out bulbs. It turned out to be a 2 day job with Maintenace crew (who were very nice) trying to find the wire that was connected to the light and then replacing it so it would work. They had to cut holes in the ceiling and wall of the bathroom. The furnishings were worn and not particularly very clean. Certainly not very comfortable. Location was what it was all about. The kitchen was remodeled and stocked nicely but no pantry products. The pots N pans where greasy and scratched. We cook on vacation and had to clean them to use. Great dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. Stand up closet washer N dryer for convenience. The underneath of the home was nasty with some garbage and rusting beams and pieces of splintered wood laying on the ground. The outdoor rusty electric box had a broken lock and was always opened to the fuses from the wind. No landscaping of any kind. Basic sand driveway. We managed to overlook and enjoyed the beach and view with nice picture windows. The curtains were ripped an worn.
